When Leon Chen entered the classroom, no one paid him any attention. The other students were chatting away, and hearing their conversation topics made Leon feel a bit embarrassed. The hot topic was last week's school newspaper, especially the story about Lily Lin.
Fortunately, Leon was usually so unassuming and low-key that no one noticed the notorious senior was sitting right beside them, except for a few close friends who recognized him despite the pixelated photo.
Leon took out a notebook and activated his NO.104 Photographic Memory ability, quickly flipping through his mental archives for the information he wanted. Since he had nothing else to do, he decided to transcribe some of the classified information from the US and other major countries.
The first item was the complete wind tunnel test data report for the F/A-11.
Buzz buzz, his phone vibrated.
Leon stopped writing and checked his phone. It was a text from Lily Lin.
"Senior Leon, are you up? Thanks so much, no one bothered me today! :)"
Leon couldn't help but smile. He thought for a moment and sent a reply.
"Let me know if you have any trouble."
"I will, thanks, Senior! :)" Lily Lin quickly replied.
Leon sent back a smiley face.
After finishing his exchange with Lily Lin, Leon continued jotting down the core secrets of the US.
"Leon, working hard? What are you writing?" A voice interrupted his concentration. He looked up.
Standing before him were two girls, one tall and one short, holding hands.
"Fiona, I'm writing down national secrets," Leon said half-seriously.
The girls chuckled. The shorter one, Fiona Lin, said, "Leon, you're surprisingly funny."
"Serena Su said the person in the newspaper looks a lot like you. Is it really you?" Fiona Lin took out the school newspaper.
Leon glanced at Serena Su, surprised.
Serena was tall, wearing a sea-blue camisole dress that exposed her fair skin. She was as quiet as her name suggested, but with a surprisingly ample chest that seemed ready to burst out of her dress. Although he had only spoken to her a few times, Leon always found his eyes drawn to her impressive bust during those brief encounters, making a lasting impression.
He didn't expect her to notice.
By now, many students were looking their way, drawn by the presence of Serena, who was admired by many boys.
Blushing slightly, Serena looked at Leon curiously, like a gentle rabbit.
Scratching his head, Leon thought about how to respond. Since his "relationship" with Lily Lin would soon spread, there was no point in hiding it. But being the center of attention made it hard for him to openly admit, "That beastly senior is me!"
"Hey, you're not really that bold, are you?" Fiona Lin asked suspiciously.
Just as Leon was about to find an excuse, Isabella Xiang's cold voice came to his rescue.
"Leon, come out for a moment!"
"Ah, sure." Leon said ambiguously to Fiona Lin and Serena, "Whether it's true or not, the truth will come out eventually."
"What does he mean by that?" Lin Fang was puzzled.
Serena frowned slightly, a look of disappointment flashing in her eyes.
…
Outside the classroom, beside Isabella Xiang stood a gentle, elegant girl from Jiangnan, looking like a delicate ink painting.
There are quite a few beauties at this school, Leon thought, keeping a straight face as he asked, "What's up, class rep?"
"She wants to talk to you," Isabella indicated.
"Who are you?" Leon didn't recall knowing such a graceful girl.
"I'm Emma Shen, the student council secretary!" she said, smiling and showing dimples.
"Oh, sorry!" Leon was embarrassed, realizing she was someone important, second only to the president in the student council hierarchy.
Emma chuckled, "Leon, you're a sophomore, right? You don't seem very interested in H University."
Leon laughed awkwardly. "What's this about?"
"You should know," Emma said with a sweet smile.
Leon's heart skipped a beat. The student council had indeed taken notice. He wasn't surprised they knew about the scandalous "beastly student," as the student council reviewed all the newspaper publications.
"President Grace Wang wants to see you. Can you come to the student council with me?" Emma asked gently.
Leon smiled wryly, feeling he had no choice but to comply with the student council's invitation.
In the elevator heading to the student council building, Emma brushed her hair back and glanced at Leon, who remained silent.
She was a bit surprised. Judging by his appearance, this student seemed so honest. It was hard to imagine he could do something so disgraceful. Shaking her head slightly, Emma thought to herself, the world is full of people who aren't what they seem. Even within the student council, there are those who smile while hiding daggers.
"President Grace Wang might not recognize you either, right?" Emma said, trying to break the awkward silence.
"Who wouldn't recognize President Grace Wang? Her return to school today is all over the place," Leon replied. Though low-key himself, Grace's reputation was impossible to ignore.
Grace Wang! The legendary beauty of H University.
President of the student council and head of the largest club, the Computer Society.
Granted "unlimited class attendance" by the principal, meaning she could attend classes whenever she wished. She lived off-campus and owned a white BMW worth over fifty thousand dollars.
Many students had more expensive cars, but few could match Grace's achievement of earning all her money herself.
Dubbed "the woman only a god can conquer," countless people dreamed of simply having a conversation with her. Leon never expected his infamous kiss would catch her attention and prompt her to seek him out.
Lost in thought, Leon didn't realize they had reached the top floor until they stopped at a large sandalwood door.
This is the student council president's office!
It's more luxurious than the teachers' offices, Leon thought, speechless.
"President Grace Wang is actually very approachable," Emma said before opening the door. "She likes men who are strong and face challenges head-on. Don't be afraid."
Thinking Leon seemed quite honest, she kindly reminded him.
I have no intentions toward her anyway, Leon thought, smiling to himself.
Emma shook her head, finding this man before her hard to read.
"Grace, I've brought Leon," Emma said softly, opening the door.
"Thanks, Emma. I want to speak with him alone."
Grace looked up from her laptop.
Leon prided himself on his immunity to beautiful women, but the first sight of Grace still made him gasp.
She's too beautiful!
"You're Leon Chen?" Grace motioned to a nearby chair, then asked.
"Yes, what do you want to talk about?" Leon took a deep breath, regaining his composure.
Grace noticed Leon's flawless gaze and subtly admired it.
"Leon, Leon, Leon…" Grace repeated his name softly, then suddenly asked with a blank expression, "How did you manage to control the core brain of the fifth-generation computer?"
"What?"
Leon was stunned.
No way, does she know who I really am???
