On Marshal Elio's side, they surrounded the neighboring planet in the center of all the planets under the Seore family's tyranny. They were going to pursue the scientists that were living there.
Their goal wasn't to kill them but to capture them all alive instead, then use them as evidence against the Seore family, and lastly to put them all on trial for their heinous crimes.
The center planet was called XU000. There were five other planets around XU000. They were named XU001, XU002, XU003, XU004, and XU005.
Planet XU000 was disguised as a luxury resort planet that was only opened to a few elite members. All of these people were allies of the Seore family. Hidden deep within the planet, were the many facilities that housed the scientists that were in charge of most of the research done for the Seore family.
The Seore family lived on a different planet, but it was close enough for a quick and easy journey to XU000.
As for how they would get into XU000 without alerting the enemy, System 505 and Arisa were going to help them. System 225 was a bit busy with Grey, so their job was to help Elio with System 225 instructions.
"Marshal… Are you sure we will be able to get in? We are quickly approaching XU000 and there have been no signs of Citizen Valen." The man who spoke out against Grey questioned because he was still unsure if the plan would be successful.
Marshal Elio glanced at him for a moment before returning to looking at the giant holographic map of the area. "I trust him."
He was already notified that General Kai was able to get into XU239 with Valen's help. They were loading up all the citizens who wanted to leave the city.
As for him, it took some time to get to XU000, so they still hadn't arrived.
As soon as they approached the forcefield around XU000, Marshal Elio's terminal received a text message.
[Override access into XU000, identity no longer needs to be identified.]
Then he received another text message. [Must enter XU000 in 30 minutes.]
That was as long as Arisa and System 505 were able to keep their spacecraft hidden. Luckily, they only had one large spacecraft, so they didn't need to give access to multiple spacecrafts under the table.
"Everyone, descend into the designated location now." He commanded.
With his command, it didn't take their spacecraft 10 minutes to descend past the forcefield protecting the planet. No alarms were going off, no security coming toward them, nothing like that. It was just as Valen said.
The man who was doubting Grey all along stopped what he was doing and closed his eyes. He knew he was wrong.
Their ship was still hidden from view. No one could see or feel them landing near the main building of the research facility.
This large research facility not only housed large laboratories but was also the home to the many scientists who worked under the Seore family. Nearby, there was a morgue that processed the dead bodies gathered from the five indigenous planets.
"Proceed as planned."
"Understood!"
According to the documents from System 225, the research facility was made up of three buildings. Each building had three levels for its basement, a ground floor as well as four additional floors above ground.
As for their uses, they already had all that information, but it was not important to their current operation.
A latch on the side of the spacecraft opened, shooting out a quick beam of light that only lasted for a second. It was planted into the ground in the middle of the three buildings.
Unbeknownst to the people working in the area, a forcefield covered the entirety of the buildings from the underground bottom floor to the top of the roof.
No one could escape unless they died.
"Let's go."
With the forcefield up, a map of each building, and the schedules of the scientists, Marshal Elio and his soldiers had nothing to fear.
They were split into three groups with Mashal Elio going into the main building.
They just charged right through.
The strongest army in the history of the entire Federation had nothing to fear. With the information given to them, it was like swatting at an army of amateurs with no prior experience in combat. It almost felt like bullying, but they just had to go through, capture everyone, and make sure none of their criminals died.
Everyone working in the research department of the Seore family was a criminal the moment they signed the contract. Those who resisted the contract were already dead. The ones who did sign it gave up their humanity for wealth and fame.
"Do not leave any corner unturned! All 267 researchers and scientists must be lined up in front of the spacecraft before we leave this planet!"
The alarms in the buildings were shut off by System 505 and Arisa. No one could contact the outside world as it was being interfered with by some unknown force.
By the time Marshal Elio raided most of the main building, the main group of scientists were hiding in a secret location, trying to save themselves. Unfortunately for them, Grey, Arisa, and the Systems were their unknown enemies.
"Marshal Elio, this area is cleared!"
"This area is also cleared!"
"Reporting to the Marshal, all personnel have been escorted to the front of the building."
One after the other, as Marshal Elio walked through the halls toward the secret room, his men gave the all-clear for each hallway, room, and office within the building. Even through his terminal, he could hear that it was all cleared on all the floors he couldn't go to.
His left-hand man, General Amber Ezlen, the one that was with him when General Kai was not there, was also with him with three other people. Coincidentally, General Amber was General Kai's older Alpha sister. She was more brawn than brains compared with Kai, so if Marshal Elio told her to beat someone up, she wouldn't question it.
This was all they needed to capture the prominent scientists of the Seore family.
On the third floor of the basement, there was a secret room that was used to transport people out of the area and into one of the villas on the planet, but it wasn't working. They couldn't even manually open the door to the emergency exit.
When Marshal Elio and his men got to the locked, security door that could only be accessed by the Head Scientist, a beep came from his terminal.
[Overriding access… Access complete. Unlocking the security door now.]
A couple of clicks came from the door and the giant lock on the door began to turn. The two smaller locks also turned in the same direction and then the door opened.
In the middle of the small room, 8 scientists were gathered around a table, panicking and wondering what was going on.
"Head Scientist Braxton Vlaham, surrender now or you and your men will be taken by force," Marshal Elio stated as he uniformly entered the room.
Each step of his seemed to echo throughout the room, almost replacing the racing hearts of all the scientists in the room.
General Amber was by his side, not saying a word but glaring at them.
As for the other men, they were standing in front of the door to prevent anyone from escaping. Well, they only did this because the Marshal told them to, but they all knew that the Marshal and General Amber were more than enough to capture all of the scientists in the room.
"Surrender?" Dr. Braxton pushed up his glasses and glanced over at Marshal Elio who interrupted their escape. "And who warranted our arrest for you to come in here unannounced? To even block off our escape, truly, there must be a reason for you to invade the Seore family's territory to capture us."
His tone was mocking and condescending like he couldn't believe how shameless Marshal Elio was to just barge in on them.
"I have a warrant issued by Leader Brentwood." He pulled up the warrant on his terminal for everyone to see. It stayed in the air while he continued to talk.
"Hah." Dr. Braxton spat out before cackling. His cackling then turned into hysterical laughter that lasted a whole 30 seconds.
"Marshal Elio, do you think I will just willingly follow you? Once I press this button, the whole area will explode, killing all of us. Do you think you can escape from the basement so quickly?"
"If I have to die, you all will die with me!"
Dr. Braxton slammed down on a button that was in front of him on the table. It was a big red button that had a caution sign behind it.
Everyone waited for the countdown for the explosion but nothing happened.
Marshal Elio waited for 10 seconds before hearing his terminal say aloud, [Emergency explosives have been deactivated. Thank you for using our services.]
There was another long moment of silence.
"Well, Dr. Braxton… I will now be taking you away by force."
"Impossible!" He fumbled with his belt and took out his last resort, the energy particle gun that he always had on hand.
"Don't come any closer or I will blow my head out!"
Marshal Elio stopped walking toward the table. All the other scientists also took out their guns and put them in their mouths.
"Come any closer and you will not have any of us! Once I die, all of the data from this research facility will be erased. Everything is connected to my terminal!"
[Overriding Seore's command. Overriding chip on Dr. Braxton. Data collection complete. If you like our services, please give us a 10/10 rating.]
Marshal Elio was starting to think that Valen was a joke, but he just had no idea that it wasn't Valen or Cyan who was doing this.
Arisa thought this was fucking hilarious. She was having a bit too much fun in this serious moment. System 505 could only look at her and admit defeat. Nothing wrong with having fun on the job. They truly did stop the explosives and got all the remaining data from Dr. Braxton and it wasn't encrypted.
It was much simpler than the one that System 225 had to deal with on the other planet. Plus, they kept it so the people of XU239 could see the gravity of their situation. This would allow them to psychologically be indebted to Grey and Cyan. They would definitely help him liberate the other planets after witnessing their home being blown up.
Dr. Braxton and his cronies dropped their guns and admitted defeat. It was better to just go with them instead of dying in such a stupid situation…
The group of scientists dejectedly dropped their particle guns and allowed themselves to be cuffed and escorted out of the building…
In the near future when Grey learned of this, he hysterically laughed at how anti-climatic and funny the whole thing was. If only he could show Cyan.
