History has it that our worle was once magicless and is not bounded by the System. They said it started small, subtle and unnotoceable. And so the surprise of more extreme thing happening was lessen. We as human just suddenly started accepting the world of magic.
That's all i can summerize from what I've learned from my grandparents and the school and honestly i don't really care.
What matters the most now is to know what element am i capable of using!
The line to the city hall was long and the whole place is crowded by parents, friends slightly big guild figures out in here to scout kids with op magic i guess?
I came here alone though. For some reason, my family is adamant to not let me have my mana reading until i was 18.
Like are they serious? The proper age qualification for mana reading is 15! I can't comprehend what they're thinking of so here i am. I might be rebeling but it's for a good cause. Right? They're evil and holding back my potential!
Just three more kids and I'm next!
"You think you can hide him from us you scumbag!" A man from our right stepped out and furiously pointed finger on the reader.
The reader was all jumpy and nervous, honestly is he even gonna lie? If you're gonna lie you should work on your demeanor while liying. You're pretty much busted now old man.
The well suited man with an uncle beard approach the girl who was currently have the reading.
"Young girl, you're a dual elemental of wind and light magic! He lied to you when he said you only have wind magic probably to recruit yoy for himself. I'm Emblem rank Mage warrior from the Silver Lion guild and i would like to formally invite you in our guild!"
He casted his white and shiny teeth and smiled as he thinks he's increasing his charisma by ten fold. And for some reason i think it's working.
The girl looked at him with glimmering eyes and followed him as he escorted her. Ofcourse eveyrone has their eyes on them because the Silver Lion Guild was one of the big 4 Guild of this country.
The current reader was kicked out and was replaced by a new one from the silver guild because he has a badge of the guild in his suit.
The next one infront of me was not that great, he has mid level earth affinity. No one approached him ofcourse because you'll only be noticed if you have high level affinity in earth magic because mid-level below are not useful in guild for earth magic specialize in defense and only high-level earth magic can do stuff during raids.
Now it's my turn! I hope I'm also a dual elemental! Although it's rarity was said to be only 1 out of 50,000 people but i still have high hopes!
The reader instructed me to put my hands on the blue stone infront of me. A wire was attached to the stone and is connected to a device.
As my hands touch the stone, it glowed with white aura. The white aura travlled through the wires and unto the device. From the device, it presented a virtual image of a small white orb.
I was so excited because i might have wind and light magic affinity but when i looked at the reader's disappointed face, my headt dropped.
"Sorry kid, i guess it's not your lucky day. You have no elemental affinity."
The reader said and left me utterly surprised.
"A-are you sure you read that right?" Why is it color white then!"
"White represents the plain mana. If you're wondering, light magic is yellow and wind is light blue. Now stepped out of the line kid. Might as well consider being a battery."
I stepped out of the line still shocked. I have no magic affinity? No way. This can't be real! Wait, my mom is an artificer and so is dad. That means they might somehow have access to magic tools like the mana reader. It all make sense now.
I was walking away from the city hall and as i got farther away crom it, the streets became somewhat empty. That's how important the mana reading is and everyone is there.
And i can't believe I'll be the saddest person during such event. I knew that people without elemental affinity exist but i don't even met or knew one. That's how rare is it and unfortunately I'm one of it.
Unbeknownst to me,a raid team passed by me. I only noticed it because one of them bumped into me. He seems to be the carrier of the team becaus he has big bag on his back.
He looked at me annoyed but it look like something came into his mind. He took something from his bag and handed it to me.
"Take care kid." He said and catched up to his team.
He game me a very small purse. It's so small that i think only 1 coin can fit in it. Is he mocking me?
I shrugged off my frustration, i already have alot of negative emotions from the mana reading. I'll just go home and sleep all day i guess.
"Item: dimensional purse.

Virtual message? Does this mean that this is an artifact? Cool! My mom has one and it's her Glasses. It allows her to access her computers and other devices anytime anywhere!
"Yes!"
With no hesitation i agreed. This might be a cool artifact.
And all of a sudden, the small purse which is a dimensional purse dissipate from my hand. What the heck?
"Link succesfully established. Dimensional purse lvl 1. Chant 'store' to store object in the dimensional purse and chant 'open' to see the list of item stored and take them out of the dimensional purse."
Oh, i see. Wait what? An artifact that dissapears but still usable? Never heard of that before! Let me try it out.
I looked around the streegs and saw an unfinished can of soda. Now how do i do this? Should i held out my hand and say the chant?
I did held my hand towards the direction of the can and said the chant.
"Store!"
"Error. Cannot store object bigger than the size of a coin."
What in the world? It's sized should have been the indication. I'm stupid, and unlucky apparently.
