"....."

Various rumors spread like wildfire the next day, unstoppable, becoming the talk of the town in Daimyō's residence.

Strangely, the Uchiha were directly removed from the rumors.

"Kazuki, tell me, was this your doing?"

Tsunade initially planned to handle the situation calmly and discuss it upon returning to the village.

But now, with the rumors spreading everywhere, Tsunade could already imagine what the news would look like once it reached Konoha.

All the rumors seemed to be directed at the Third Hokage.

"It has nothing to do with the Uchiha. Tsunade-hime, instead of coming to question me, why not ask the Daimyō if this is his doing?"

The rumors were spreading far and wide, but the Uchiha were removed from them, which benefited the Uchiha.

Unfortunately, Kazuki wouldn't do something like this.

This matter had nothing to do with the Uchiha at all. In fact, Kazuki was a bit surprised when he heard the news.

Who could it be, holding such a grudge against Asuma and the Third Hokage, making it seem like they wanted to blow the situation up?

Upon careful thought, Kazuki believed the source was the Daimyō's palace.

Kazuki wouldn't believe it wasn't the Daimyō's that arranged for the rumors to spread so widely in one night.

Only they could accomplish such a feat in this place.

"Don't look at me like that. I'm Uchiha Kazuki; I take responsibility for my actions. This kind of situation blowing up wouldn't benefit me or the Uchiha. Besides, does the Uchiha have so few people that we could really spread rumors to this extent in just one night?"

Seeing Tsunade's disbelief, Kazuki spread his hands, expressing his innocence, as well as that of the Uchiha.

"I understand. I will go see the Daimyō. In the meantime, you Uchiha should stay calm. Whatever you do, do not cause a similar incident."

Tsunade knew that the Uchiha were planning to take revenge on Asuma's companions.

Unfortunately, she couldn't persuade Kazuki.

Kazuki wouldn't listen to her on this matter.

The Uchiha were already filled with anger, just waiting to return to Konoha and make trouble for those jerks.

Make them stop?

Not a chance.

"Tsunade-sama, the Uchiha had nothing to do with this, right?"

Shizune approached.

"It shouldn't have anything to do with them."

Tsunade's expression was serious. "Kazuki is right. Although Asuma instigated the situation, and the Uchiha will seek revenge, these matters are internal conflicts within Konoha and shouldn't involve the Daimyō.

The fact that the rumors spread so widely absolutely has something to do with the Daimyō's residence."

"Then... should we send someone to investigate?"

"Investigate what? Just focus on treating patients and making money; I'll go to his residence myself."

Investigate?

Investigate the Daimyō's people in the Daimyō's residence?

Do we have nothing better to do?

Even though the Daimyō's people are small fry, once Konoha sends people to investigate, the situation will take on a different tone.

Tsunade had no intention of doing something so thankless. If they accidentally dug too deep and implicated the Daimyō, and the Daimyō noticed, things could get messy.

Who knows what it might escalate into?

It could even turn into a situation where Konoha is seen as monitoring or investigating the Daimyō.

Even though she knew it would be a wasted trip, Tsunade still had to go.

As expected, when Tsunade questioned the Daimyō, he acted completely clueless, feigning surprise.

"What?"

"There's something like that?"

"This shouldn't have happened. Asuma lacks proper discipline."

"..."

Well, that was a pointless inquiry.

The Daimyō was playing dumb, but unfortunately, his acting skills weren't very convincing.

It was definitely the Daimyō's doing.

As for why he did it, Tsunade couldn't figure it out, nor did she have any intention of digging deeper.

Continuing to question him would be like Tsunade accusing the Daimyō directly.

If the Daimyō became embarrassed and lashed out...

Tsunade didn't want to see that kind of outcome, so she decided to let the Third Hokage deal with the headache instead.

Initially, she didn't want to report this, but now, she had no choice.

After leaving the palace, Tsunade immediately sent someone to relay the news back to the village, warning the Third Hokage to prepare himself mentally. His son, with the Daimyō's help, had delivered a major surprise.

The Third Hokage might react strongly, but when compared to Asuma, Tsunade thought her teacher had a stronger capacity for endurance.

After all, he had weathered many storms, unlike Asuma, who had fainted out of sheer anger.

His mental resilience was quite lacking.

For the past few days, the Third Hokage had been eating well, sleeping well, and was even more energized while handling affairs.

When the scroll Tsunade had sent was delivered to the Hokage's office, the Third Hokage initially thought it was more good news from the Daimyō's residence.

But when he opened the scroll and glanced at it, it felt like his head had been struck several times with a hammer, leaving him in disarray.

Inside the scroll, Tsunade described the incident where Asuma caused trouble and also mentioned Uchiha Kazuki's involvement.

The overall process was summarized briefly, with nothing significant left out.

"How could this happen!!!"

The Third Hokage jumped up in a panic, rubbing his eyes hard, worried that he might be seeing things, then picked up the scroll and read it again.

"Damn it!!!"

After carefully reading it several times, the Third Hokage angrily threw the scroll onto the table. Just as things had started to get better, another problem arose.

And this problem was caused by his own son, Asuma, with a little help from the Daimyō.

Why did the Daimyō do this?

Hadn't the negotiations between the village and the Daimyō already concluded?

Why was he still clinging to Konoha?

Compared to the Daimyō's intervention, Asuma starting trouble and then getting beaten up was a trivial matter that the Third Hokage didn't care about.

He knew his son's character well. Even though Kazuki had gone a bit too far, being a bit ruthless and speaking harshly, even criticizing the exam proctors, these were all minor issues.

The most serious issue here was the Daimyō's intervention.

This could lead to a misunderstanding that Sarutobi Hiruzen deliberately indulged his son, turning him into a spoiled brat who caused all sorts of trouble.

Don't underestimate this kind of situation. Once the rumor spreads, it could cause a huge misunderstanding.

The people outside might just take it as a joke, something to gossip about over dinner.

But if Konoha's villagers took it seriously, that would be real trouble.

This matter couldn't be left alone.

"Go notify the two advisor elders and the honorary elders, and have them come to the Hokage's office."

The Third Hokage knew how dangerous public opinion could be, even though he was skilled at using it to achieve his goals. Once the tool he used turned against him, there would be a problem.

In the early days of Konoha, to prevent the Hokage from having too much power, an Elder Council was established. Families that made significant contributions to the village were given seats, including the Uchiha.

Unfortunately, the Uchiha's seat became merely symbolic after Uchiha Madara defected.

Not only did they lose their elder rights, but they were also excluded from elder meetings.
