The Daimyos gathered, enjoying themselves and making merry, but they couldn't help gossiping about the Third Hokage's shortcomings.
Even though Asuma was often frustrated with his father, hearing others talk like this still made him uneasy.
The worst part was that he couldn't do anything about it.
If it had been anyone else talking like this, Asuma would have already stepped in to teach them a lesson.
But those criticizing the Third Hokage were the Daimyo of various nations—not people Asuma could mess with.
He was seething with anger but couldn't show it.
After his shift ended, Asuma grabbed a few friends and headed to a barbecue restaurant to eat and drink, trying to vent some of his frustration.
They hadn't even finished eating when some Uchiha members sat down at the table next to them, very close by.
Asuma wasn't just irritated with the Third Hokage; he also had a dislike for the Uchiha.
"Oh, isn't this that arrogant family?"
Asuma taunted, his words dripping with provocation, which made his friends burst into laughter.
"Asuma, what do you mean by that?!"
Uchiha Ryoichi, barely holding back his anger, couldn't ignore the obvious insult.
"I wasn't even talking about you, so why are you getting so worked up? Right, everyone?" Asuma smirked and raised his eyebrows, wearing an expression that dared Ryoichi to take a swing, which only made him and his companions more furious.
Even though Asuma was a bit of a troublemaker, someone who rubbed many people the wrong way, he was also lucky—he had a father who was the Hokage.
This meant that almost no one in Konoha dared to lay a hand on him.
Tsunade, who was already in a bad mood on her way to the scene, could only lament that Asuma was smart enough not to provoke her, so she never had the chance to take him down a peg.
"You..."
Ryoichi, now red-faced with anger, wanted to argue but couldn't find the words.
"Oh, look at that! A big family ninja who can't even come up with a good insult. No wonder your Uchiha clan is always targeted."
"Hahaha..."
The more Ryoichi and his companions held back, the more smug Asuma became.
He had already decided to take out the anger he felt today on these people. After all, he didn't believe they would dare to hit him.
Kakashi? Just a stuck-up guy. The Uchiha might take a swing at him, but they wouldn't dare hit someone like Asuma, or so he thought.
"Bastard!"
As Asuma's words became more outrageous, the furious Ryoichi finally lost his cool and lunged at him.
Heh, that's exactly what I've been waiting for.
Asuma might be a bit of a rogue, but he knew well the consequences of being the one to strike first against a fellow village member.
That's why he had been goading Ryoichi, just waiting for him to take the bait.
Ryoichi, young and deeply concerned with his family's honor, fell right into the trap.
Easily dodging Ryoichi's punch, Asuma countered with a punch to Ryoichi's ribs.
Ryoichi cried out in pain and was sent flying, crashing into several tables and even getting burned by some charcoal, leaving him in a sorry state.
"Ryoichi!"
His teammates wanted to help, but Asuma's friends blocked them.
The barbecue restaurant quickly descended into chaos.
Customers screamed and fled, leaving the restaurant owner on the verge of tears—he didn't dare step in to stop the brawl.
The business at the Daimyo's residence was wrapping up.
Knowing that Kazuki was in charge of the Uchiha, the Daimyo representatives sent him a hint, expressing their interest in strengthening ties between the Uchiha and the Daimyo.
Kazuki was still considering whether or not to go ahead with it.
The Uchiha could establish connections with the Daimyo's residence, but they needed to be careful not to get too close. It was a delicate balance.
"Captain Kazuki, some of your clan members have gotten into a fight at a barbecue restaurant. We hope you can go and stop it."
An ANBU ninja landed in the courtyard and delivered the bad news to Kazuki.
The chaos at the barbecue restaurant was impossible for the ANBU to ignore.
The troublemakers were from both sides—Uchiha on one, and the Third Hokage's son, Asuma, on the other. Neither side was easy to deal with.
So they decided to notify the leaders of both parties, Kazuki and Tsunade, and let them handle it.
"Oh?"
A fight at a barbecue restaurant?
Even the ANBU were involved, so the situation must be serious.
Without much thought, Kazuki called into the house, "Stop playing around; everyone, come with me."
Following Kazuki's lead, the Uchiha gathered and headed to the barbecue restaurant, with Shisui joining them.
On the other side, Tsunade, who had been informed, also set out with Shizune.
Tsunade was already in a foul mood—this was an embarrassment to Konoha.
She wanted to see who dared to cause trouble at this time.
As soon as she got the news, Tsunade left with Shizune without even asking who was involved. On the way, they ran into the Uchiha group.
"Are your Uchiha involved too?"
One look at the situation, and Tsunade knew the Uchiha were involved. Why else would Kazuki bring so many people?
Why is the Uchiha always causing trouble? Are they the first to throw punches?
"Oh, just some disagreement between a clan member and a village companion that led to a fight. I'm here to take a look," Kazuki responded casually as he walked alongside Tsunade.
When they arrived, the barbecue restaurant was already in shambles.
The Uchiha members were all lying on the ground, beaten and bruised, struggling even to get up.
Especially Ryoichi—his hand and foot were visibly deformed, bones broken, seriously injured.
On the other side, Asuma and his group were completely fine, except for their messy clothes.
Not good!
Seeing Asuma and his friends unscathed while the Uchiha members were lying on the ground, badly injured, Tsunade's heart sank.
Damn kid, always causing me trouble.
"Bastard!"
Seeing this, the Uchiha members were furious, their eyes practically shooting fire.
Even Shisui clenched his fists, glaring at Asuma and his friends.
They had fought, lost, and then been beaten—what a disaster.
Kazuki shook his head slightly, taking one look at Asuma's group and realizing that Ryoichi and the others had lost fair and square.
"Shizune!"
"Yes, Lady Tsunade?"
"Treat their injuries."
"Wait."
Kazuki stopped Shizune, and Tsunade raised her hand to rub her forehead—she knew this was going to be tricky.
Despite Kazuki's calm expression and demeanor, Tsunade would have preferred if he had shown some emotion.
For instance, if he had gotten angry or started yelling.
The calmer he was, the worse the explosion would be when it finally came.
Kazuki stepped forward and crouched down.
Ryoichi, nearly unrecognizable, with blood still trickling from his mouth, mumbled, "Captain, I'm sorry, I..."
His clan was insulted, he retaliated but lost the fight.
Ryoichi was filled with guilt and frustration, but there was nothing more he could have done.
"So, what happened?"
Asuma, unfazed, shrugged. What was done was done—at worst, he would get scolded or punished, something he was used to by now.
'So what if he beat up some Uchiha? He didn't believe they would dare jump him with Tsunade present.'
"It was all because of that bastard, Asuma," Ryoichi growled through gritted teeth. "I was with Yakumo and the others, eating at the next table, and this bastard started insulting our clan. I couldn't take it, so I argued with him. He kept pushing it, so I hit him."
"I see."
Now that he knew how it started, the details of the fight weren't necessary.
Kazuki slowly stood up and nodded to Shizune. "Go ahead, thank you."
'Well done, kid, well done.'
Kazuki then started walking toward Asuma.
