-------------------------------------------------------------

After the barbecue meal, which cost quite a bit, Kazuki didn't mind the expense. What bothered him now was how to deal with the two drunk women. As expected, Tsunade got drunk and, in her foul mood, dragged Shizune into drinking with her. Unable to refuse, Shizune ended up getting drunk too.

'These two women must have done this on purpose,' Kazuki thought. With nowhere else to go, they simply got drunk and planned to crash at his place again. Is my house becoming a hotel? Yesterday it was just Tsunade; today, it's two of them?

Despite his grumbling, Kazuki carried the two drunken women back to his house and left them in the guest room. Tsunade, being messy and not fond of cleaning, would have Shizune to take care of things now that she was here. After washing off the barbecue smell and changing into clean clothes, Kazuki headed to the clan leader's residence. He needed Fugaku's help with something.

However, Fugaku wasn't home, only his wife Mikoto was there, and Itachi was also absent.

"Kazuki, please have a seat and enjoy some snacks. I've sent someone to notify Fugaku; he should be back in about ten minutes."

Mikoto warmly welcomed Kazuki and sent someone to inform her husband. Kazuki wouldn't come to their house looking for Fugaku unless it was something important.

"Thank you for your hospitality, Lady Mikoto."

"You're welcome."

Mikoto smiled and went upstairs to tend to her own matters. In less than ten minutes, Fugaku arrived.

"Let's go to the study. It's quieter there."

Discussing things openly in the living room could easily be overheard. Kazuki followed Fugaku to the study, relieved to see chairs instead of having to sit on the floor. Knowing Kazuki didn't like sitting on the floor, let alone kneeling, Fugaku didn't mind him sitting directly on a chair. Unhurriedly, Fugaku hung up his coat before taking his seat.

"I've already communicated with the team leaders in the Police Force. Most of them have agreed to the reorganization, but a few still refuse."

Fugaku began by addressing the Police Force issue.

"That's normal."

Kazuki expected some resistance, especially from the hardliners. Even if they didn't leak information, they wouldn't easily agree:

"No one likes having someone suddenly in charge of them, especially the hardliners. Their opinions don't matter. As long as we have over two-thirds support, we can proceed."

"If the hardliners disagree, they should be ousted."

This reorganization affects the entire Uchiha clan, not just internal factions. Whether they agree or not, they don't have a choice. They can either comply and get a suitable position or be removed. The Uchiha has plenty of members to replace them. As long as Fugaku doesn't back down and declares it firmly, the hardliners will eventually accept it. Agreeing might cost them a bit, but refusing will result in a complete loss.

"Right. I plan to announce it at the clan meeting. I'll need your cooperation that day. You can use any means necessary, except physical force."

Fugaku was genuinely worried Kazuki might resort to violence against the elders again. Once was enough; repeated incidents would undermine respect for the elders and the clan leader.

"Sure."

Kazuki preferred not to resort to violence as it could damage his reputation. Verbal confrontation alone would be enough to make the hardliners doubt their stance.

"By the way."

Kazuki shifted the conversation to himself.

"I initially made an agreement with Tsunade. This time, she caused significant damage to Chime Street, resulting in a substantial debt. I convinced her that if she helped the Uchiha, we would cover the debt, including her gambling debts."

High compensation debt? Fugaku was slightly surprised but quickly calmed down. Kazuki's words carried weight, representing the Uchiha to some extent. Besides, the Uchiha's finances were still sufficient. Even if it meant paying a bit more, if it improved the clan's situation, Fugaku was willing to pay. Even covering Tsunade's gambling debts wasn't out of the question.

"But the Hokage refused. Tsunade will head to the daimyo's mansion tomorrow. I hope the clan leader can sell this information."

Of course, they refused. Decades of targeting couldn't be easily changed. Fugaku had little hope but took the scroll Kazuki handed him. As he read it, his eyes widened, and his breathing became rapid:

"Are you investigating Root and Danzo?"

"Does it matter?"

Kazuki's candid admission made Fugaku mistakenly believe Kazuki had the capability to investigate the higher-ups, which was beneficial. It clearly showed that anyone Kazuki targeted couldn't escape, including Fugaku himself.

"What matters is that most of this information is true. Since the Hokage and Danzo won't let us be, we should eliminate Danzo first, ensuring he can't recover. As for the Hokage, I doubt he'd dare act against a united Uchiha."

Kazuki, you truly are bold and ruthless!

Fugaku's expression wavered. Kazuki's proposal shocked him to his core. It was no joke.

"Have you considered that releasing this information might start a war?"

"Don't scare me, clan leader. You've always been like this—not firm enough when needed, not ruthless enough. That's why the Uchiha are in this mess."

War? Who are you trying to scare? Do you really think Konoha is that weak? Konoha is indeed focusing on recovery, but that doesn't mean anyone can start a war with it. Even Iwagakure and Kumogakure would have to think twice. War is nearly impossible, but causing trouble is certain. That's precisely what Kazuki wanted. The more external trouble, the safer the Uchiha.

Fugaku's rigid face turned red as if Kazuki had struck a nerve. Fortunately, Kazuki was the one sitting across from him. If it had been anyone else, there would have been serious consequences.

"I'll handle selling the information without implicating the Uchiha. I hope you're right. Since you say I'm not firm or ruthless enough, I'll look forward to your performance."

You think I can't do it? I'll give you the stage; you show me your skills.

"By the way, remember to pay me. We all have families to feed, clan leader. Don't pocket my information money. Selling this intel for seventy or eighty million isn't an issue."

Play around all you want, but don't joke about my money. What's mine shouldn't be short by a single cent.
