Negotiation?
What negotiation?
If there's a result, that would be strange!
Just ignore those bothersome elders, talk directly with the squad leaders, persuade them, and then just notify everyone!
That's the only way to settle it.
If the hardliners still disagree, fine, they're out of the picture!
The hardliners can quit and go home, the Uchiha won't miss a few people.
At that point, even if the hardliners are unhappy, they'll just have to accept it.
They can only make a fuss; they wouldn't dare push Fugaku too far.
You have to know, this clan leader in his youth solidified his position by dealing with those who opposed him.
Otherwise, Fugaku couldn't have become clan leader in his twenties without some ability.
Remember, the Uchiha are not like the Hyuga, where only those with ability and a lot of supporters can rise to power.
"I understand."
Identifying the problem, Fugaku finally showed the aura and authority of a clan leader.
Actually, Fugaku was suffering too, busy for so long only to realize he had been heading in the wrong direction!
At this moment, he maintained a serious demeanor but was inwardly cursing the hardliner elders.
Don't think that just because he kept a straight face he wouldn't curse; he just didn't do it often because of his position.
With Kazuki's guidance, Fugaku knew what to do.
Feeling relieved, Fugaku was also quite frustrated.
Being the clan leader is really tough.
With the bearing of a clan leader, Fugaku left. Kazuki knew that in the coming days, the captains in the police department would probably have a tough time.
If he couldn't handle those old fossils, he could at least handle the clansmen in the police department.
If he couldn't manage even that, Uchiha Fugaku would not be fit to be the clan leader and might as well retire and stay home with his wife and kids.
Back at the police department, Fugaku began summoning each squad leader to the minister's office.
No one revealed what was discussed because Fugaku had ordered absolute secrecy.
Anyone who dared leak information would face his wrath, regardless of who they were or what faction they belonged to.
This was strictly about the police department, not the entire Uchiha clan or its factions.
Try leaking it, and you'll be in big trouble.
Under Fugaku's stern warning and his pressure from within the clan, even the hardliners had to keep quiet and act as if nothing happened.
As for whether there would be conflicts between the clan leader and the elders once the news was out, that wasn't something the small fry could control.
With a suitable strategy, the reorganization of the police department progressed rapidly.
Most of those summoned by Fugaku chose to agree, and those remaining who disagreed didn't dare spill the beans, giving Fugaku the perfect excuse to replace them.
Since you disagree, you're a hindrance.
As clan leader, it's not appropriate for me to target you, so you can go home; the police department has nothing to do with you anymore.
At night, Kazuki was about to rest when he sensed an uninvited guest.
Instinctively, he thought it might be someone from Anbu or Root.
"Who's there!!!"
Regardless of who it was, he had to take control first. No matter the reason or who sent them, if they made any move against him, it would be their fault if he injured them.
"It's me."
A reluctant voice responded after a long silence.
What?
Relaxing his grip on the sword, Kazuki opened the living room window with a head full of black lines.
In the hallway outside the window, a certain homeless bigwig awkwardly dug her toes into the floor:
"No one has lived at my house for a long time, it needs to be cleaned before I can move in, Shizune hasn't come back, and I have no money."
"And, you persuaded me to return to Konoha. Now I have nowhere to go, so you're responsible."
With that, Tsunade jumped in through the window and sprawled out on the sofa.
"My god, I'm exhausted. Walked around Konoha all day. Got any food? I haven't eaten."
'Listen to her tone.'
Kazuki chuckled:
"How about I run you a hot bath, add some private scrubbing and massage services too?"
"Sure."
Tsunade wasn't a little girl and certainly wasn't easily scared. Lazily, she said:
"If you're willing, I won't refuse. Go ahead and prepare, starting with whatever you want."
"...."
"In your dreams! Doing that for you would be a huge loss for me!"
'What are you thinking!'
Rolling his eyes, Kazuki went to the kitchen, heated up some leftovers, and brought them out with rice.
"This is all I have. Make do. I didn't know you'd come here."
Placing the food on the table, Kazuki watched as Tsunade nearly jumped off the sofa, grabbed the chopsticks, and wolfed down the food, clicking his tongue in disdain:
"Amazing, not a trace of the dignity of a Sannin. By the way, as a member of the Senju clan, aren't you afraid of causing misunderstandings by coming to Uchiha territory?"
"I could live with you in the same house and not cause any misunderstanding, you know?"
With her mouth full, Tsunade provocatively raised her eyebrows at Kazuki.
Though they were of different genders, considering their identities and the huge age difference, there would be no misunderstanding!
People Tsunade's age who married early had children older than Kazuki.
Tsunade was old enough to be Kazuki's mother, what misunderstanding could there be?
"...."
'You win.'
Kazuki decisively retreated, knowing that arguing with a shameless and homeless woman would only result in him losing.
"If you're willing to wash the dishes after you eat, go ahead. If not, or if you can't, just leave them in the kitchen. Someone will clean up tomorrow. There are fresh quilts in the cabinet in the left guest room on the second floor. I hope you're gone by morning."
'Ha, can't handle me, huh?'
Winning a round, Tsunade felt a bit smug.
Happy.
With her mood instantly lifted, Tsunade continued eating, but as she ate, she suddenly stopped.
'Did my actions just indirectly prove I'm old?'
"Crack!!!"
Age is always a sensitive issue for women, and Tsunade didn't expect to step on that line herself.
A classic case of digging her own grave and burying herself in it.
The chopsticks in her hand snapped, and with veins popping on her forehead, Tsunade wanted to slap herself.
'What's wrong with this woman? Eating alone and breaking chopsticks?'
'...She's crazy.'
Hearing the commotion, Kazuki shook his head and decisively locked his bedroom door.
If Tsunade had any issues, they could wait until tomorrow. Kazuki didn't want to deal with this super-aged single woman's antics.
He was still young; early to bed and early to rise was good for his health.
Besides eating and breaking chopsticks, Tsunade didn't do anything else out of the ordinary. After a simple wash, she went to the guest room to sleep.
After a few days of turmoil, feeling miserable and doubting herself, Tsunade was exhausted.
She collapsed on the floor, her legs holding the quilt, not caring how much the bathrobe revealed.
