"Naruto is very important to the village. Jiraiya wants to live with him, and we can't stop him. However, I believe Naruto shouldn't leave the village. Since he is the village's Jinchuriki, he must stay here."

"It would be better if Jiraiya stays too."

Among the three Sannin, Jiraiya is the most cooperative, at least with official matters. Unlike Orochimaru and Tsunade, who leave if they're unhappy.

They don't oppose Jiraiya living with Naruto, but it must be within Konoha; he can't take Naruto away.

In the original story, Jiraiya could take Naruto out of Konoha because the Third Hokage had died, and the village needed Jiraiya to take charge, so they turned a blind eye to him taking Naruto away.

Now that the Third Hokage is alive and well, the Elders certainly won't want Naruto to be taken away.

Jiraiya staying in the village benefits them more.

Not only would it mean having a strong ninja in the village, but he could also take on high-level missions, which is advantageous.

"I agree with Koharu."

Mitokado nodded in agreement.

Living together is fine, but the Jinchuriki must not leave the village; that's the bottom line.

"I'll try to talk to him."

The Third Hokage wasn't sure he could convince Jiraiya.

"We'll discuss it later!"

After leaving the Hokage's office, someone wanted to voice doubts, but Fugaku stopped them.

Everyone came and went quickly, soon returning to the Police Force.

When Kazuki and his group returned, the investigation report had already arrived.

"Captain, from our interrogation, those involved in the fight said that someone named Komura Taro approached them, saying he wanted to embarrass our Police Force, which is why they planned this fight to drag us down."

There were too many people involved in the fight, and not everyone could keep silent.

Besides, the Uchiha have ways to make them talk.

A simple genjutsu is usually enough to make them confess.

As Kazuki suspected, someone was deliberately targeting the Police Force, specifically the Uchiha.

"Where is he? Did you catch him?"

"...When we tried to catch him, we found out that Komura Taro's identity was fake."

"..."

No need to continue the investigation; the other side used a false identity just to frame the Uchiha and the Police Force.

This wasn't the first time such a thing had happened, openly or covertly targeting the Uchiha.

When the Uchiha began investigating, they often found nothing.

It always ended with a bunch of duped victims in the hospital or prison awaiting trial.

"Let's hear it."

Taking a deep breath to control his anger, Fugaku tried to remain calm and not let his emotions take over.

"Someone is framing us to tarnish the reputation of the Uchiha and the Police Force, making the villagers' impression of us worse."

"When we connect this to previous cases, the results are the same. Even if we want to catch someone, we can't find them."

"Who exactly is against us, the Uchiha?"

Everyone started arguing noisily.

"Enough!!!"

Seeing the chaos, Fugaku finally snapped, slamming the table and angrily shouting:

"I asked for your thoughts, not for you to argue."

The clan leader's outburst silenced everyone.

"Kazuki, what's your opinion on this matter?"

While others argued, Kazuki sat quietly, watching the spectacle.

The result was obvious; there was nowhere to investigate, and even if they did, they would find nothing.

If they could investigate thoroughly, the Uchiha would continue, but they didn't have enough authority. In past cases, investigations were always halted.

"What's there to say?"

Kazuki propped his legs on a chair, looking uninterested.

Based on past experience, this incident would likely end unresolved.

In that case, what's the point of arguing? Better to save the energy.

"This is clearly a low-level, pointless frame-up. They know that even if the Uchiha or the Police Force want to investigate, they can't continue."

"Arguing is pointless, but if everyone wants to vent, we can use the process of elimination."

"What process of elimination?"

Can investigations work like this?

Seeing the clan members dissatisfied and upset, Kazuki shrugged:

"First, we need to confirm that this kind of incident is thankless. Ordinary people or competitors wouldn't do this, or dare to. If the matter escalates and the Anbu get involved, it would backfire."

"We just need to eliminate those who wouldn't dare to act rashly."

Can it really work?

The members exchanged looks, ultimately deciding to try it. However, the results were surprising after using the elimination method.

The smaller clans that outwardly opposed the Uchiha were not worth suspecting; they didn't have the guts. Just shouting from the village's side was already brave for them.

The larger clans capable of openly confronting the Uchiha wouldn't lower themselves to such petty actions.

If caught, the Uchiha could retaliate in kind.

It's a classic case of mutual destruction; it's not worth it.

After eliminating the larger clans, few suspects remained.

Seeing everyone fall silent, Kazuki knew they had reached a conclusion.

"No need to guess; it's Danzo. Only he would do something so pointless to target the Uchiha. While other elders also oppose us, given the current situation, they've even relaxed their surveillance on us. Why would they create trouble now?"

"The entire ninja world is watching Konoha. The worse Konoha's reputation, the happier others are."

Is there anyone else besides Danzo?

When this started, the Uchiha put all their efforts into investigating. And the result?

They ended up in the jurisdiction of the Anbu, leaving them with no options, and each time, it ended unresolved.

This already indicated the problem.

It also showed who was behind it.

Even with the Root disbanded and Danzo supposedly retired, he could still orchestrate things to trouble the Uchiha.

Even if the Anbu knew, they'd turn a blind eye.

It's frustrating and unpleasant!

Everyone felt bad because if it were someone else, the Uchiha could retaliate.

But with Danzo, even though he's no longer an advisor, targeting him would make the higher-ups think the Uchiha were challenging them.

Knowing who's behind it but being unable to fight back is a frustrating feeling.

Kazuki, with his feet on the chair, slightly swayed, hands folded, looking at Fugaku.

He waited for Fugaku to see if he would provide a solution.

After all, Fugaku is the clan leader, and some matters need his direction to proceed.
