-------------------------------------------------------------

Kazuki's actions startled everyone.

The previously smiling elders couldn't smile anymore.

They realized that Kazuki was not a compliant little lamb.

But a hedgehog with sharp spines!

Underestimating him or challenging him would lead to getting pricked.

"Kazuki!! What do you think you're doing? Are you challenging my authority?"

Uchiha Fugaku left his seat, appeared beside the Sixth Elder, and dispelled the genjutsu. He also activated his three-tomoe Sharingan, confronting Kazuki.

Judging by his heaving chest, he was indeed furious.

Once the genjutsu was lifted, the Sixth Elder, drenched in sweat, looked at Kazuki with a hint of fear.

Only heaven knew what he had just experienced.

Facing Fugaku's questioning, Kazuki calmly spread his hands:

"As for whether this is a challenge to the clan leader's authority, that's for the clan leader to decide. I did nothing wrong.

The clan's support and the clansmen's support gave him the title of elder, but that doesn't mean he can shout at me."

"If you genuinely contribute greatly to the clan, I will respect you as a predecessor, as an elder, and as a clan elder.

But sadly, you haven't."

Saying this, Kazuki showed a mocking smile, looking up and down at the still recovering Sixth Elder, and said disdainfully:

"You have always brought compromise to the clan, always backing down, always making the clansmen live with their tails between their legs."

"Such an old dog doesn't deserve my respect."

Now that the gloves were off, there was no need for politeness. Calling you an old dog was already courteous enough, at least I didn't curse too harshly.

Ignoring Fugaku's increasingly dark face, Kazuki loudly addressed the other elders:

"Everyone, do you feel comfortable having someone like this as a clan elder, sitting on equal footing with you?

Honestly, I find it quite embarrassing."

"....."

The elders were still shocked and uncertain about Kazuki's insubordination. After hearing his words, they gave the Sixth Elder a strange look, feeling a bit uncomfortable themselves.

At least they felt embarrassed for him.

If you can't even handle a junior, you shouldn't be an elder—save yourself from further embarrassment.

Getting controlled by a genjutsu from a junior without even the ability to resist—what a shame.

To be associated with you is humiliating.

"Uchiha Kazuki, do you intend to lead the clan to its doom?"

After a while, the Sixth Elder finally regained his composure, but he desperately wished to dig a hole and hide.

In his panic, he quickly pinned this crime on Kazuki.

But Kazuki just laughed.

"If letting the Uchiha live with their heads held high means our doom, then the Uchiha should have perished 800 times over by now."

"Cough cough!!!"

Not only did Kazuki want to laugh, but several elders almost couldn't hold back either, especially the Grand Elder.

At this moment, he looked at Kazuki with increasingly gentle eyes.

He always felt that Kazuki was a descendant born for the hardline faction.

With such a character and methods, it would be a pity not to join the hardline faction.

He must be brought into the fold.

"Enough!!"

Seeing the Sixth Elder still trying to retaliate, holding onto this matter, Fugaku, as the clan leader, shouted:

"This matter ends here. Sixth Elder, I don't want to see you slandering and accusing the clan's juniors without reason again. Kazuki, I don't want to see such insubordination again."

As the clan leader, Fugaku was the most troubled, stuck in a difficult position.

The final result could only be that each side received a slap on the wrist, seemingly both losing, but in reality, Kazuki had profited immensely.

Such slaps didn't hurt or itch for him at all.

On the contrary, the Sixth Elder, who had lost the right to openly criticize and scold juniors, must feel incredibly uncomfortable.

Originally, an elder scolding a junior, no matter how unhappy you were, you had to endure it.

But now, you can't even scold.

The Sixth Elder nearly blacked out from anger.

Unfortunately, the dovish faction was small and unpopular. At this moment, no one would jump out to speak for him; they were already being considerate by not adding insult to injury.

Resuming his seat, Fugaku, with a stern face, said:

"For various reasons, the clan's members have expressed much dissatisfaction with certain individuals. Kazuki is right. The Uchiha have their pride and dignity. We can't keep compromising and humiliating ourselves to please others."

At this point, even if Fugaku didn't agree with cutting down the dovish faction, he could only go along with the trend.

The storm had already started. As the clan leader, he couldn't now oppose all the clansmen and turn to support the dovish faction.

Otherwise, if the hardliners caused trouble in secret, he would face significant issues as the clan leader.

The best solution now was to sacrifice the dovish faction to stabilize the situation.

"Clan leader, everything we do is for the clan. The conflict between the village and the clan is deepening. Only by reversing our image and gaining the Hokage's forgiveness can the Uchiha integrate into the village."

The Sixth Elder was spinning in circles with anxiety.

The dovish faction's voice in the clan was already small. If it got cut down, this faction would no longer need to exist.

He would also be expelled from the center of clan power.

"Hahahaha...."

Kazuki couldn't hold back.

Although he wanted to, he overestimated his endurance.

"Uchiha Kazuki, what do you mean!!!"

The Sixth Elder, like a wounded, rabid beast, roared furiously.

His bloodshot eyes stared fixedly at Kazuki.

Seeing this, it seemed like he wanted to tear Kazuki apart.

If it weren't for Kazuki's recent antics, none of this trouble would have occurred. Now, the dovish faction was on the verge of collapse.

"I didn't mean anything. I just find your words very interesting. No, very laughable."

Kazuki exaggeratedly laughed a few more times before looking at him expressionlessly: "I almost laughed myself to death."

"Kazuki, explain your understanding. Why do you disagree with the Sixth Elder?"

Fugaku was genuinely afraid that Kazuki might hit the Sixth Elder again. After all, he was an old man. If he got controlled by genjutsu repeatedly, who knew if he might drop dead from the stress.

Kazuki's strength and assertiveness made Fugaku unable to underestimate him anymore.

He needed to be placed in a very important position.

Shaking his head, Kazuki wore a disdainful expression. However, he still respected the clan leader, so he replied, albeit disinterestedly:

"I find the elder's words and thoughts laughable because the clan is inherently a part of Konoha. Do we still need to integrate? Integrate into what?

Like the Senju clan, should we disperse and merge with the commoners to call it integration?"

"Everyone, open your eyes and look carefully. Which clan in Konoha has truly integrated into the commoner family?"
