Chereads / I am the Martial God / Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

I was no longer on Earth. This place was called Prime Martial World, and unlike Earth, the people here hadn't made scientific and technological advancements.

The civilization in this world resembled the times of Solara Nation on Earth several thousand years ago.

People here greatly valued vital energy cultivation, honored fighters, and respected the strong and powerful.

Vital energy was the essence of cultivation in this world, and its dense presence was palpable throughout the land.

Many talented individuals surpassed their physical limits by cultivating vital energy, reaching the highest levels of cultivation base.

Those with strong cultivation bases possessed supernatural powers. They could cut through hard stones, cleave mountains, and even change the directions of a river

The supernatural feats I had seen in movies were real here.

As my mind gradually pieced together the scattered memories of the young man whose body I now occupied, I began to understand his life and experiences.

To my surprise, the young man I had possessed the same name—Tyler.

Sadly, Tyler from Prime Martial World had lived a life of poverty and hardship.

To begin with the introduction of Tyler of the Prime Martial god, he became an Orphane at just nine years old, he wandered the world begging for food and shelter.

One day, while begging on the street as usual, he encountered a respected steward from Sun Sect who was responsible for recruiting talented individuals.

At the steward's request, Tyler demonstrated his abilities. Through years of hardship and encountering various people, he had acquired skills to protect himself and keep himself from harm's way. The steward was very impressed by his performance, the steward brought him to Sun Sect, and Tyler became an outer disciple.

After three years of systematic training, Tyler's talent in martial arts began to be recognized by all.

In those three years, he climbed to grade nine of the Energy Gathering Realm.

Reaching grade six had been an achievement, but he quickly advanced to grade nine with practice, earning widespread praise and becoming one of the top disciples in the sect.

In the Prime Martial World, the cultivation base had five realms: Energy Gathering Realm, Vital Energy Earth Realm, Vital Energy Mysterious Realm, Vital Energy Sky Realm, and Vital Energy Imperial Realm.

There were even rumors of realms beyond the Vital Energy Imperial Realm.

The sect held an annual ranking exam for disciples, promoting those who excelled to the next realm.

Tyler from the primal Martial Art was quite Confident of his abilities. He did not expect that others were plotting against him. In the end, he was severely beaten and lost all the cultivation base he had accumulated.

Along with his severe injury, his mind led to a deranged state of mind, similar to how I had felt on Earth when I lost both my job and my girlfriend. Seeing no hope for me, the sect's management demoted me from my position as an outer disciple to a grunt disciple.

Upon waking from three days of unconsciousness, after the clash of those ten larger balls against the eight smaller ones, I realized that Tyler of Prime Martial World's body was now mine. With memories from both lives flooding my mind like a torrent, my head felt like it was going to explode. I knew I was Tyler from Earth, yet I also had Tyler of Prime Martial World's memories.

It was like having memories from two lifetimes—both my current and past lives. It was so strange that it left me perplexed.

Understanding my situation, I knew I had to accept this new life. Without resisting, I decided to look at the whole incident positively and tried to steady myself. This decision eased my headache, and I gradually felt myself adjusting to this new body.

"Well, returning to Earth seems impossible for now. In that case, I might as well live here as Tyler from Prime Martial World.

How unfortunate that both of us were treated so cruelly. Now that I have another chance, I'll seize this opportunity.

I'll use the cultivation talent this body had achieved to make a better, more wonderful life in Prime Martial World," I resolved, studying my body.

"Tyler, you've slept for three whole days. You must be starving. Here! I brought you two steamed buns. They got a little cold on my way here and might be a bit stale, but it's better than starving. Try to have at least one," Bella said, holding out her hands with a steamed bun in each.

Her words snapped me out of my trance-like state.

Only then did I realize how hungry I was. My stomach rumbled at the sight of the Buns.

Gingerly, I leaned forward and took the buns from Bella's hands. I stuffed one into my mouth, almost gulping it down in one breath without even tasting it.

"Bella, you've been so nice to me. You're the best friend I have. I'll never forget your kindness," I said, gazing into Bella's eyes with sincere gratitude.
