It was already the next day and Kai finally woke up after getting to stay all through the night without sleeping and finally getting to close his eyes for a duration of 20 mins.
Everyone was up and ready to go for class as the sound of the emergency bell rang through the whole academy. Kai already knew what the emergency was for as he quickly kept whatever he was doing and headed straight for the emergency ground with his room mate,Steve.
Steve was a tall guy with blonde hair and a muscular shape to go with unlike Kai who was an average height person who's hair was spiked in a jet black color. Steve was quite a very good student as he seemed to always asked and offered help to Kai regarding any issues or if Kai ever got bullied he should come straight and tell him.
He was above an average student in terms of strength since his ability focused on Ice, and Ice ability users were usually rare to see. His power level was around Lvl.3.8 when Kai last saw his bio data from his room mates wrist watch and he was considered among the top student in Kai's year one class. Steve was busy blabbering about how good his previous day was while Kai was thinking the opposite which was his forest encounter, everyone was rushing their way to the emergency ground when Kai bumped into his best friend Tom. Tom can be described as the same as Kai in terms of strength and power level as they were yet to show any promising attribute.
'Hey man, what's up? how you doing? and what the heck happened to your eyes?'. Tom threw series of questions at his friend who seems to be having heavy bags under his eyes due to him lacking enough rest, That was when Steve noticed he had been a talkative and failed to notice that even though they were roommates. ' I was just busy training myself at the gym throughout the night, Kai lied to his friend to avoid further questioning.. ' You know we are yet to show any improvement in our ability and strength so I decided to push myself to the limit a bit,Kai added.. ' C'mon man, you don't need to give yourself sleepless nights because of that and besides I'm wondering what the emergency is for this early.. Tom replied his friend as they walked all walked their ways to the emergency field.
Getting to the field, almost every student had gathered there waiting to hear what the emergency was and they were assembled according to their years of being in the academy..
Kai used his eyes to find the other two friends of Josh who were also found in company of each other but he couldn't find them both. The field was already quite as they all stood facing a man in military uniforms and a red beret on his head. He was built, fierce looking and a Earth ability user who should be around Lvl.8 as it was the most common of all abilities and the school also offered free books to students who lacked any ability just as Kai and his friend Tom, there were other teachers also present but it was clear that he was the one in charge of analyzing what the emergency was. His name was Owen and he was the second in command of the academy generals and it was rare for students to see him as he was always busy with lot of things. I guess that's also a function of a leader to be there at all times.. Asst commander Owen cleared his throath as he started his speech very calmly. " Good morning to you all students of this academy, I'm sure you all must be wondering why we called this emergency meeting with you all this morning and its due to the fact that a weird and disastrous thing occurred last night. A first year student named Josh Peters was found dead last night in the woods which every student was restricted by the academy from entering. The academy is already making necessary investigations as his death may be described as abnormal if i may say, our emergency team rushed there after noticing that his wrist watch was no longer on him and that is why we've always urged everyone to keep their wrist watch on every time because the wrist watch is connected to the schools security management system and once its not connected to you after five minutes, the academy would send an emergency team to the last location of the student. Words have already been sent to his family as the academy feels not responsible due to finding the body in a no-trespassing zone. The assembly ended there after some other words of advice and the school having adjusted the curfew time to 11pm. everyone headed straight for class as Kai couldn't stop thanking his stars for not telling anyone about the letter or else he would have been a prime suspect by now and would surely be undergoing a trial. Kai dragged his feet to class as he could still feel the pressure from having less sleep at night as he headed for his class, upon entering the class,Kai almost bumped into someone who he wasn't expecting to bump into. Her name was Layla and she couldn't help but smile at Kai whose cheeks were already red from shyness. she noticed the bags but decided not to ask since she was sure the teenager looked fine except for the bags under his eyes.. Layla was a pretty student amongst her mate who was very open to everyone and always found smiling at everyone whenever she spoke. Layla was a level 1 student who just unlocked her potentials as a fire ability user and she looked very more happy than usual.. Kai walked straight to his desk to sit down while waiting for the Elementary teacher to come in and he decided to open his desk and behold... HE FOUND HIS FLASHLIGHT WHICH HE DROPPED IN THE WOODS
