The city of sleinfeld turned dark once again, the horses, people, and all type of air machines slowed down as the city turned quieter. People once again dressed in robes and cloaks to compensate for the coldness in the air. The only thing that didn't change in the night time was the dirtiness of the atmosphere, The overall state of sleinfield was still, Horrible, The roads we're dirty which made it harder for horse cleaning after words. Just walking on the streets for a couple of seconds would require clothes to be wash the day after. Inside of a multitude of buildings the lights turned on as it wasn't visible to see normally.
One of these buildings, an office of sorts, looked to be quite empty. Not due to the hour of time and the workers going home, but rather because of the absence of any workers in the first place. The building was on the second floor of a moderately busy bakery. To get to this office all you would have to do was go to the back of the bakery and walk up the back stairs, which would lead you to the door of the office. Inside the office also had a bedroom area, in which inside the bedroom area was a certain pink haired girl asleep.
The girl opened her amber eyes to the face of a dusty, wooden ceiling. "An unfamiliar ceiling" the girl thought as she was waking up from her nap. This girl was named Linette, or I guess you could say she was named "Linette" just a few hours ago. You see the girl Linette has been through a very troubling 2 days which many would have not have experienced. Before these two days Linette was a Young 14 year old boy named Arthur Kelder, which due to his dismay people sometimes often made fun of his outdated name, due to him living sometime in the 2010's.
I would go on to recap Arthur Kelders entire journey as the pink haired girl Linette but I'm sure you remember the 19th century, new city, new body, poor circumstances, stores, old men, and two supernatural boys. Oh wait, you guys didn't exactly know about that part yet did you? Well don't worry, you'll learn in just a few.
Arthur, now Linette stared at the dusty wooden ceiling remembering what just happened to him. He made a self-loathing face at his or rather her past actions. Why couldn't he seen through Ronaldin's Disgusting plan sooner? Why couldn't he fight back? There was also the fact that he might never see anyone from his world again, The friends he made, the family he cherished, might've been gone forever she thought, staring at the ceiling for around 3 minutes. She then got up and sat on the bed. Even though the room was dark she managed to identify a couple things in the shadows.
The room she was in was around 30 feet wide and 15 feet tall. She laid on a bed on the back corner of the room, she knew it was a back corner due to the door in font of her. Around the room was a Desk and a gigantic life sized bear, which was all pink, or at least looked pink to Linette who was having decent trouble seeing in the dark. The door in front her blocked the glowing light that was coming from the other room. Linette, curious got off the bed to find two soft hairy things laying on the ground. These things were two slippers, She thought this was weird due to the time period she was now in, and how hairy slippers weren't really common.
As She approached the door it frightened her, who would be on the other side, what would the person on the other side be like, look like, do to her? Would they try to attack her, torture her? or even worse? despite the fear of having a worse repeat of the situation that happened earlier she opened the door with her near sweating body.
"HEY HOW MUCH OF THIS CHEESECAKE DO YOU THINK I CAN FIT IN MY ASS" exclaimed a short black shoulder length hair girl with blue eyes who stared blankly at a paper with a complete straight face.
"Mehhh I think you can fit 1-2 slices... okay maybe 3 but that's the max!!" shouted, a spiky, curly, red haired guy with crimson eyes back.
"g-guys can we stop screaming I feel like we're gonna wake up- oh.." And said a green haired guy with bed head, black glasses, and Golden eyes.
...? This was the reaction that Linette had on her face when she stared at the sight before her, A girl that sounded like she was going to shove a couple cheese cakes up her ass and two guys watching. Before long they all noticed her staring at them and stared back, which was like a 5 second staring contest.
"Oh pinkies up!" The red hair guy stated with a shocked face.
"I told you we would wake her up..."
There was no person here to attack her, no evil nor any danger. To which Linette realized calming down. She then noticed the two boys, the ones who saved her from Lane, or murdered him right in front of her. "No... no no.. I was up before you guys started screaming about the uhm, cheesecake.." She mustered the courage to say, due to her not being the best person socially, but not the worst. Arthur was only a little shy in his past life when talking to new people, so when talking to them he tried to give them the most neutral first impression he could present with.
"So, Pinkie! did ya sleep well?" Curly hair shouted.
"It was fine... I guess?" Linette was confused because of the fact that the guy who blasted a whole in another guy was being so cheerful. Usually, when someone blast a giant gaping hole through another the reaction usually is "AAAAHHH!!!" or "NNGGGHHH!!" for the kinky.
"I'm so sorry for the rudeness of these two miss if you could find it in your heart... please forgive them." Green hair pleaded. To which Linette was also confused because he was the acquaintance of the guy who shot the gaping hole in lance.
"S-sure..." stated Linette, still confused.
There was a brief silence in the air, before someone spoke up.
"Oh yes! I'm so sorry, My name is Cyril, Cyril Grenville. He then reached out to Linette for a handshake which she reciprocated.
"Over there in the Red hair is Roy Rodney... He can be a bit eccentric so make sure to calm him down time to time... hehe"
"The girl with the black hair is named Severine D'arc, she can be quite cold to people sometimes but she doesn't mean it, and she can also be really oblivious and quiet too.." That was a surprised to Linette, due to.. the cheesecake. The way Green hai- Cyril, described her was the complete opposite of how she just acted. But before Linette had another chance to think about it more Cyril interrupted her thoughts.
"And lastly! we have are amazing, dashing, charismatic, superb, and did I mention amazing?! Lovely Leader Diane!!!" Cyril said pointing behind a desk. Linette Couldn't see due to an office desk blocker blocking her sight. She walked passed the desk to see a White haired middle-aged women with Crimson Eyes. Her hair was long and roughed up with multiple strands going in all sorts of different angles. The woman-or Diane looked to have Muscles so she definitely wasn't your average woman in their 30's. Then again, what exactly is average about everything going on? The muscular woman looked at me for a couple seconds then went back to writing something that looked like a letter to someone.
"Uhm... can I exactly know where I am right now... Miss Diane?" Linette said confused, although despite saying this ever since Arthur got to this world, he hasn't actually got a single clue of where anything is.
"Huh? Oh... Uh... Mobvril Street. 132, Mobvril Street." Diane said not even glancing an eye at pink haired girl.
LIKE THAT'LL HELP!!! Linette thought, completely disheartened.
The room goes silent once again for a couple seconds, then chatter erupts behind Linette.
"Hey Cyril could you go get me a drink I'm thirsty" Roy says
"You know as well as I do that we're all out right now." Cyril responded.
"We would have more then enough drinks right now if it wasn't for your fatass thinking that drinking a lot would count as dinner." Severine added coldly, just as Cyril stated about her personality. A complete change from what she was like only a couple moments ago. Severine was now writing on paper just like Diane, except instead of it looking like a letter it was a form. Linette could not make out any of the words on said form however.
"Oh yeah!?! Well, At least I actually drink instead of sitting there doing work!!!" Roy said getting his temper tested.
"I'm not going to argue with you, how about you blow off all those drinks by taking a walk."
"Yes you are! You are going to argue with me and you're going to like it!!"
"Guys can we please..." Cyril tried to stop the bickering between both of them but wasn't getting to far.
"Wait!!!" Linette shouted.
"I don't even know what's going on here... I was being chased and R-r.. Roy shot some tiny gun and gave the guy a giant gaping whole in the middle of his body and-and-"
"ROY YOU USED DILIGENCE?!?! YOU USED DILIGENCE IN FRONT OF A NORMAL CIVILIAN!!!?!" Diane shouted in total fury, standing up from her chair instantly. Linette remembered that the last thing she heard before passing out was something about a diligence bullet.
"W-well I uhhh... WELL I tried to save a civilian and the only way I could was using my diligence bullet!" Roy said, trying to mold his emotions back together in the form of changing his voice to sound like a rich man.
"ooooo Roy and Cyril are introouubbbllleee. Guess you don't wanna argue anymore huh?" Severine mockingly says with a straight face, emotionless face.
"I-I-I would never have Roy use Diligence in front of a civilian!!! I told him not to do anything stupid before Diane put us on that mission but he did anyways!" Cyril snaps back losing his composure.
"oh my days..." Diane says falling back down in her chair slouched Covering her face with one hand.
"What do you guys mean by Diligence... I don't get any of this.."
The room goes silent once more after Linette addressed her confusion of the entire predicament out loud. Roy and Cyril look at each other in confusion, while, for the first time, Severine Looks up from the form she was writing on. Almost as is she was intrigued, but her blank face never changed. The three all look at Diane like they were awaiting her response on what to do with the situation.
Diane then looks Linette
"Grab a seat."

"Pinkie, What is your name?" Diane ask Linette
"Linette... Just Linette." Everyone looks a little confused, probably due to the absence of Linette's last name but they continue watching me and Diane's public 1 on 1 conversation.
"Linette, do you believe in god?"
...?
"Ah.. Well.. Not really. But I've always wanted to believe in a god.. It's just that I don't have enough proof he exist." Linette then wondered if they were talking about the same god from the bible, and if the bible even exist in this world or not.
"Well I can assure you, He does." The black haired girl stared at the pink haired girl with a serious, straight unwavering face.
"You might be wondering where I'm going with this, well I can assure you you'll be surprised." Linette focused all her attention of Diane after she said that.
"A long time ago, God, created everything every world has to offer, not just the seas, sky, and Earth. He made all that you know today, and was very proud of that fact. That is until many years later, God realized the mistakes he made with humanity. Wrath, Gluttony, Greed, Envy, Sloth, Lust Pride, Melancholy, Treachery, These sins allowed the guilt of God to overwhelm him, causing him to abandon earth as we know it, making it Godless. However before God abandoned us, he gave us one last gift, virtues. These virtues allow us to harness a fraction of the true power god had. And with these virtues, we can walk the path to Godhood as well as bring back our old god, showing him that humanity still needs him." Diane stated this all with a straight face.
"Now, I get you might not believe me but I can promise you it's all real. I mean, you yourself said you seen what in the virtues in action right? Roy..." Diane's face goes from serious to mad very quickly after mentioning Roy's name, probably still mad at him.
"R-right!!" Roy says trembling.
Roy stands up straight after leaning on a desk for the entire conversation. He then walks over to Severine and pulls out his revolver. Linette's face turns from surprised to shock, stressing to herself is he going to shoot her or not.
"Divine light, infinite and true, Fill me now, in all I do. Strength of heavens, earth, and sea, Guide my spirit, set me free. God's power flows through me this hour, In harmony with divine power. As above, so below, In God's light, I glow." Roy's eyes start to glow making them a bright neon pink. The area envelops in electricity and Red Flames. The barrel of the gun glows red and Roy fires a shot at Severine.
"DILIGENCE... BULLET!!"
The bullet goes off, a giant blast goes flies towards Severine. However Just be it hits her she substitutes the blast, the shot destroys the office chair into bits. Creating a blast of smoke.
"Damnit!" Roy says aggravated at his miss fire.
"You sure you wanna go with all those drinks in your stomach? when I beat you I don't want you to barf it all up on me.." Severine replies walking out of the small cloud of smoke with every body part in tact.
"!!!!" Linette looks at the two of them surprised at what she's witnessed, she can't even begin to process what she just saw.
"Roy, next time you use a test dummy, don't use my chairs. Their expensive enough already I don't need to buy more.. GOT IT?!!"
"Yes ma'am sorry ma'am but she started it! she called me fat!"
"Yes well everyone deserves the truth here and there Roy and I'd say I'm quite lucky I was here to hit you with my, truth bullet." Severine said smugly.
"That doesn't even exist!!" Roy snaps back.
"IF YOU TWO DON'T QUIT BLABBERING NEITHER OF YOU WILL EXIST, GOT THAT?!" Diane shouts right behind Linette's ear.
"Sorry ma'am yes ma'am." They both say in unison.
"Anyways, Linette, What Roy just did there was what we call the '4th virtue, Path of Diligence.' It's essentially the 4th heavenly virtue. Some humans have been granted to walk the path to Godhood by what we can so far assume as random picking, we don't really know who gets them and why specifically them, however there is a reason to unlocking virtues, in which you have to experience a great amount of said virtue to unlock it. Roy over here is very persistent as you can see so obviously he was open to the 4th." Diane told Linette.
"Cyril, tell Linette about all the virtues please." Diane tells Cyril.
"Yes ma'am!" Cyril replies excited he gets to help out.
"Well, you see Linette, there are 9 virtue paths, 1st Path, Chasity, 2nd Path, Temperance, 3rd Path, Charity, 4th Path, Diligence, 5th Path, Kindness, 6th Path, Patience, 7th Path, Humility, 8th Path, Zeal, and lastly the 9th path, Honor. As you can see with Roy's demonstration of the 4th path these can be quite powerful, however they all must have a weakness, for example you see how Roy's 'Diligence Bullet' move that he came up with only effected the chair and nothing under or surrounding it despite it being a power wave of energy? That's the 4th Paths weakness, only being able to attack one thing and only one thing. That is it's rule, restriction if you will." Cyril slams Linette with this info.
"It shows that not even God can be perfect." Diane states, Diane then realizes the still stunned look on Linette's face, probably stuck overflowing with information.
"Hey, I get it's a lot to take in since your world as you know it is kind of being flipped over right now. Especially with your situation with the guy Roy messed up. But I'm sure you'll learn to get used to it." Diane says trying to comfort Linette, placing her hand on Linette's shoulder.
Linette, or Arthur, Is still stuck on the part where he is in a new world, new people, new place, new everything. To him, everything Arthur has achieved has been loss, destroyed, and will most likely be gone for as long as he knows it.
"But for now I'll try to get a hang of it." Linette replies to Diane, to her smiling.
"Wait... what do you mean by 'get used to it'"
"hm...? oh! from now on you'll be joining our ragtag team of detectives!!"
