Chapter 26 - Chapter 26 (Home)

For the next three weeks, Azazel and Kreo struggled with how to reveal their truth to the people, the government, and even the king and queen of Tenawyuv. They wanted Azazel, the villain, to live a normal life without causing trouble or getting Kreo in danger and didn't want it to turn into a big court case.

When things got too stressful, they would visit the NICU to check on their babies. These visits helped them remember what was more important to them.

"Look," Kreo whispered one evening, pointing at their sons. "Our boys have your hair."

Azazel leaned in closer and saw the black hair on their tiny heads. "Amazing," he said, then looked at their baby girl, who had blonde hair.

Kreo chuckled. "She has my hair."

Azazel smiled, feeling amazed at how their children had a mix of their features. Suddenly, their baby girl stirred and opened her eyes. Kreo noticed her red eyes right away.

"Honey, did you see that?" Kreo tapped Azazel's arm excitedly.

Azazel looked puzzled. "See what?"

"Her eyes," Kreo said. "They're red."

Azazel didn't believe him at first. "Good joke," he said, but then they heard a soft coo from their daughter's incubator.

Both of them looked again as she opened her eyes briefly before closing them with a small smile. Azazel's heart warmed with surprise. Just then, a nurse walked in.

"Well, isn't this a sweet moment?" the nurse said. "I don't want to interrupt, but are you free tomorrow?"

Azazel and Kreo exchanged glances. "Yes," they answered together.

"That's great," the nurse said with a smile. "I think it's time for the babies to go home. They've passed all their tests and are ready."

Azazel and Kreo were amazed. The nurses had carefully checked everything, and now, everything was clear.

"Your babies don't need the incubator anymore, but we kept them in because of the cold nights," the nurse explained. "See you tomorrow evening."

As the nurse left, Kreo and Azazel held hands, their smiles wide.

"Did you hear that?" Kreo said excitedly.

"You're finally coming home with us!" Azazel added, looking at their babies with joy.

Who knew that the next night would come so quickly?

Azazel and Kreo were bustling with excitement as they prepared for their babies' homecoming. They spent the day making sure everything was perfect.

When the evening finally arrived, they drove to the hospital together, their hearts pounding with a mix of nervousness and joy. As they walked into the NICU, the nurse greeted them with a warm smile.

"Ready to take your little ones home?" she asked.

Azazel and Kreo nodded. The nurse carefully handed each baby to their parents, making sure they were securely wrapped in blankets. As Kreo held their baby girl, her red eyes opened briefly again, and he felt a surge of love and protectiveness.

"Let's get you all home," Kreo whispered to his daughter.

They carefully placed the babies in the car seats and headed home. The drive was filled with quiet excitement, both of them constantly glancing back to check on the babies.

When they arrived home, they gently carried the babies inside. The house felt different now, filled with the promise of new beginnings and family.

Azazel gently placed their baby boy in one of the cribs. "Welcome home," he whispered.

Kreo did the same with their daughter, who gazed up at him with her unique red eyes. "This is where you belong," he said softly.

They stood together for a moment, watching their children settle into their new home. It was a peaceful, almost surreal moment, knowing how much their lives had changed.

Azazel turned to Kreo, a mix of emotions in his eyes. "They're finally home."

Kreo nodded, wrapping his arm around Azazel. "Yes, they are."

As they stood there, they felt a sense of completeness. Their children were home, despite still having the challenges ahead of them. The future always held uncertainties, but for now, they were a family, and that was all that mattered.

When evening turned into night, the babies began to cry. Azazel and Kreo sprang into action, doing their best to feed their infants, burp them, and put them back to sleep. A few hours later, they were up again, attending to more cries and needs.

One baby crying in the middle of the night is loud, but with triplets, the noise was triple. They quickly realised they needed a routine to manage the chaos. They took turns, each knowing when to step in and when to rest.

When Kreo had to work, either online or in person, Azazel took care of the babies. On days when Azazel was overwhelmed with postpartum stress, Kreo took over, ensuring everything ran smoothly.

Sometimes, the exhaustion led to small arguments and disagreements between them. But they always managed to resolve their differences, understanding that they were both learning and doing their best.

Three weeks went by, and they found their rhythm as parents. They were also preparing a speech to share their story with everyone. They knew they had the perfect evidence, their three little miracles.

"Big brother?" Karla knocked on her brother's door at 8 in the morning.

No one answered. She knocked again and again until Azazel opened the door.

"Hello?" he said, his face full of exhaustion.

"Mr. Zel!" Karla shouted, jumping at Azazel happily as Darla and Alexander walked in.

"What brings you both here today?" Kreo asked, coming down the stairs carrying their daughter.

"We went to the government directly and told them about you wanting to give a special speech-" Darla said, sitting down and setting her bag aside, not noticing Kreo.

Alexander looked away in disbelief before turning back and stood up from the couch, exclaiming, "Ohh!" He walked towards Kreo, eager to carry the baby.

"They're here!" Alexander exclaimed. Darla stood up, barely believing it as she walked over. Azazel and Kreo had never told them about the babies finally coming home.

Karla was happy and excited as well. Azazel grabbed her hand and led her upstairs to the nursery. Karla knew Azazel was carrying a baby but never knew how many and was shocked to see the other two sleeping soundly.

"Three?" she whispered, stunned.

Azazel nodded, carefully picking up both. Kreo came in just in time to help.

Karla's mouth was wide open as they walked down the stairs, still in disbelief of the situation.

Darla couldn't wait as Azazel carefully passed one of their sons to her. "They're beautiful," Darla said, walking to the couch and sitting next to Alexander.

"Have you given them names yet?" Alexander asked.

"We did," Kreo answered. "Mum, you're holding our oldest son, Aelius James."

"Alexander, you're holding our daughter, Aurora James," Azazel continued.

"And this is Caelum James, our youngest," Kreo said, cradling Caelum.

Darla and Alexander repeated the names under their breath, smiling. Karla sat next to Azazel, gazing at the baby in his arms.

Azazel smiled at her. "You can carry one of them later."

Karla's face lit up with excitement. It was a peaceful and beautiful moment for everyone. But soon, Darla and Alexander remembered the main reason for their visit.
