Chapter 69: Guild Insights
"President, I have brought the person."
While explaining some situations within the [Sunshine Glory Guild], Li Xinghui led Guxi to the guild's headquarters in the grand council hall.
Before anyone inside could respond, the large doors of the council hall were opened.
Guxi noticed that the one who opened the door was a yellow-skinned weasel dressed in a black tailcoat, with a fierce look on its face.
"This is the president's butler team. The president has a diverse range of skills. He previously contracted a ferocious weasel named Huang San Taiye as a contract undead. Now, all the butlers within the guild headquarters are descendants of Huang San Taiye.
They have excellent abilities, much better than those so-called house elves. If you need anything, just find them."
While speaking, Guxi and Li Xinghui arrived at a small room behind the grand council hall.
The president of the [Sunshine Glory Guild] was waiting for Guxi in the small room.
Seeing this president, Guxi was momentarily stunned. On his way here, he had imagined what the president might look like—whether with a skull head or some non-mainstream appearance.
But Guxi never expected that the guild president would have such an immortal and ethereal appearance.
With white hair tied into a Daoist bun and an ebony hairpin on top.
Wearing a white robe, the robe emitting a faint white glow.
When he saw Guxi, the guild president even nodded at him.
"A good child, welcome to our [Sunshine Glory Guild]."
"Thank you."
Guxi extended his hand to shake hands with the guild president, and then he had nothing more to do here.
After that, Li Xinghui did not accompany Guxi anymore. Instead, a ferocious weasel butler led the way, guiding Guxi to complete the guild joining procedures, arranging a dormitory, and filling out various forms.
Guxi had handled these things when enrolling in school, and although there were some differences, most of it was similar.
Guxi was soon assigned to a 300-square-meter room.
The room was on the thirteenth floor, already fully furnished, with no need to carry any bags. You could move in directly.
The room had everything, including a bedroom, dining room, bathroom, game room, and study. Anything you could think of was available here.
Once the door of the room was closed, even other guild members would not disturb the player's rest.
Additionally, every room had a ferocious weasel butler outside. As long as Guxi needed anything, he could directly tell them.
In the guild, apart from the necessary equipment and materials for players, everything else was free.
After all, no matter how much a person could eat or use, it wouldn't cost much.
After settling his accommodation, the ferocious weasel butler began measuring Guxi. The [Sunshine Glory Guild] had specialized battle uniforms and various clothes for different occasions, all provided for free.
Even as a newcomer, Guxi received the same.
There were also some detailed arrangements, such as Guxi reporting his exclusive game channel, allowing him to return to Victoria City.
There was also a designated teleportation area. Unless it was urgent, Guxi should use this area to go to Aridowei City.
After all, game safety issues needed to be handled.
Of course, if there was an emergency, Guxi could enter Aridowei City from his room.
However, upon return, he needed to report the situation. Otherwise, it would not be good if others followed his example.
After explaining everything clearly, Guxi got ten days off. After ten days, he would join the newly recruited guild members for their first world.
As for which world, it would depend on the arrangements in the next few days.
However, according to the ferocious weasel who accompanied him, they were likely to go to one of the three conquest worlds.
Guxi was familiar with the game worlds. Players could primarily start with temporary worlds and random worlds.
Temporary worlds are those that might only appear for a short time, possibly disappearing after being completed.
Typically, one or two players, from three days to three weeks. Once they leave the world, it disappears.
Random worlds are like Guxi's trial world. Even if they leave, the world continues to exist, though not discovered by many, and without a fixed entry channel.
Upon joining some forces, players encounter more advanced game worlds.
These game worlds are mainly categorized into pioneering, conquest, and garrison worlds.
Pioneering is a completely new world, discovered and captured by the city, assigned to various guilds for processing.
Pioneering a world often requires considerable manpower and is relatively dangerous, involving only the guild's high-level players.
Conquest worlds are those understood to some extent after pioneering, with known basic rules.
These worlds are relatively safer and are where most guild members can participate.
Garrison worlds are those completely taken over by the guild, entirely owned by the guild, essentially becoming the guild's backyard.
Periodically, a few people are sent to collect resources, with no need for many people to enter.
Newcomers like Guxi, regardless of their strength, must cooperate, to assess their strength and compatibility, and to understand their combat style and personality.
Assigning them to conquest worlds is common, and getting ten days off is quite rare.
Guxi speculated that one reason was to assemble a team of players whose strength matched his own, and another was because his Death City needed construction, especially to utilize the chief's rewards.
Understanding this, Guxi confirmed his upcoming schedule and then went to the teleportation area designated for him.
This teleportation area was a distance away from the landing point, in a public area. Though not crowded, it was not deserted either.
On his way, Guxi saw many members wearing [Sunshine Glory Guild] uniforms, each accompanied by several diverse-looking undead.
Guxi noticed that regardless of the members' professions or the type of undead they had, they always maintained a clean and tidy appearance, a stark contrast to Victoria City.
He really liked this place.
Guxi looked up at the sun in the sky, focused his thoughts, and stepped into Aridowei City.
