Hun Yu and Yun Xiu arrived back home after a long walk, their familiar surroundings providing a sense of comfort.
As they approached the gate, something unusual caught their attention—a small, pink-colored fox sitting patiently in front of it.
The fox's ears perked up as soon as it spotted Yun Xiu. Without hesitation, it wagged its tail enthusiastically and leaped into her arms. Yun Xiu laughed softly, catching the fox and gently stroking its soft fur. "You're as energetic as ever," she said warmly.
Hun Yu watched the interaction with a mixture of amusement and mild exasperation. He had always found the fox to be a curious creature, especially considering how it seemed to have an inexplicable grudge against him.
Every time he was near Yun Xiu, the fox would either glare at him or, on more than one occasion, attempt to trip him with a flick of its tail.
