Mikal's ability, Beat Rhythm, creates a beat that is made from the amplified and manipulated beat of his own heart. Therefore, even without being able to see or hear he can still feel the beat and go along with the choreography. However, while he had reactivated his ability the damage he had taken caused him to slip and drop his ability from time to time. This allowed "Earth" to land a few hits, but still Mikal had retaken the upper hand.
"How is "Earth" going to win? He can't disrupt his ability now." "Fire" asked, worried.
"There's nothing to worry about. "Earth" won this battle as soon as he broke his ability the first time." "Wind" said.
"It seems like some of my attacks are able to get through." "Earth" thought, "I can probably do it now."
CRASHING CAVERN!!!!!
"Earth" stomped his foot to the ground and most of the arena floor caved in. While Mikal was falling into the hole in the ground, he was dodging the rubble that was falling around him. He couldn't dodge all of it however, and eventually he was buried and crushed by the rubble. "Earth" returned the ring to normal and was declared the winner.
"Nice move "Earth"! But why did you wait to use a big move like that? Wouldn't it have worked if you used it from the start?" "Fire" asked as he made his way out for his own fight.
"Well, it might have worked then, but I wanted to be sure that his ability was disrupted before I used a big move like that. I didn't want to underestimate his ability to avoid my attacks." "Earth" replied.
"Wow, what an incredible match! That guy Mikal was really impressive, I've never seen anyone push "Earth" to the edge like that. I really enjoyed that fight, I hope the rest of the fights are as good as that one." "War" said to the princess.
"Do you really enjoy it?" The princess asked.
"Yeah of course, any warrior would enjoy a good fight." "War" responded.
"No I mean do you enjoy killing?" She asked, in a much more serious tone.
The question made "War" a bit uncomfortable, he twisted his face as if he mulled the question over.
"No I don't enjoy killing people, it's just the fight that I enjoy. I try to avoid killing whenever possible. I'd prefer if I could fight without anyone dying." "War" said, "That being said, I don't see killing someone in battle the same as cold blooded murder. I also think it's more dishonorable to hold back and spare someone's life than to go all out even if it costs them their life."
"I don't know if that makes any sense, sorry I'm not exactly an eloquent speaker." "War" concluded.
"No I understand what you mean. It's not exactly a heroic thing to say though." The princess said.
"Yeah I guess but, I never claimed to be a hero. I'm just a warrior. I can't be anything other than what I am." "War" said.
"I suppose that's fair enough. Allow me to pour you another cup of tea." The princess responded as they resumed the cordial atmosphere from before.
"Alright Ladies and gentlemen, that last fight was a great one let's keep the excitement going for our next match!"
"Introducing first out of the eastern corner, he stands 5'7 and 3/8, weighing in at 185 pounds, in his last match he got his 1000th win with zero losses, it's…. "Fire"!!!"
"Now for his opponent coming out of the western corner, he stands 6 feet 1 inch tall, he weighed in at 172 pounds, he's making his War Festival debut, it's …"
"Fargusan Kirshmir!!!!"
Fargusan Kirshmir
Age: 29
Ht: 6'1
Wt: 172
Special Ability: Man in the Mirror
"Man I'm fired up after that last match let's get this started!" "Fire" shouted excitedly.
"Yes, I agree. The sooner we start the sooner we can get this over with." Fargusan replied. He grabbed reached into his cloak and retrieved a hand mirror.
"What's that for? Going to fix your hair or something? HAHAHAHA!" "Fire" said very amused by his own joke.
Fargusan just smiled slightly, looked into the mirror and said, "Man in the Mirror".
After doing so, Fargusan disappeared and the mirror fell harmlessly to the ground.
"Huh? What was that? Is he gone? Do I win now?" "Fire" asked perplexed.
As "Fire" and the rest of the team wondered what was happening, a dark light from the mirror went into the sky causing the clouds to gather and the sky turned black.
