Chapter 25 - Chapter 25 – Training Areas

Head Instructor Turan was sitting by the window, sipping his coffee with pleasure. He calmly stood up to look at the red dot that suddenly appeared on his window and he carefully read the message by touching the dot. Then he sat back down and picked up his coffee that he had hastily left a moment ago.

He calmly said, "Tell Instructor Sarp to come here," and waited a bit. When he heard the footsteps outside the door, he went back to sipping his coffee.

...

When Instructor Sarp and Durualp entered the classroom, Instructor Sarp's gaze involuntarily turned to the entrance door of the classroom. Demir, who welcomed them, took Durualp's arm and pulled him aside, and the two began to talk excitedly. In the meantime, Instructor Sarp left the classroom and went back inside after talking to the messenger,

- Children, our lesson is over for today. Go and rest.

- (Durualp) But my instructor, what will happen to Tauriel and Eiderd's lessons,

- They are under the supervision of Teacher Ayla. They will come when their lessons are over. Now disperse.

After Instructor Sarp left, Durualp and Demir also left the classroom and Durualp excitedly began to tell what he had experienced,

- You should have seen Instructor Sarp's moves. I had no idea he was such a perfect warrior. When I grow up, I will be as strong a warrior as him...

- If you start from the end like this, what do you expect me to understand? Come on, tell me in detail without skipping anything, what happened?

- Okay, ok be patient. I'm thinking about where to start now...

- … …

While the two were leaving the informal education building with an intense conversation, Instructor Sarp was on his way to Head Instructor Turan's office. Ten minutes later, Instructor Sarp knocked on the door and entered. Head Instructor Turan, who was sitting by the window, greeted Sarp without getting up,

- Welcome Sarp.

- Hello Chief, how are you?

- I'm fine, thank you. (Pointing to the seat across from him) Come sit down…

Although Instructor Sarp was a little nervous about this attitude that did not bode well, he had no choice but to go and sit down. As Instructor Sarp took his place, Head Instructor Turan asked,

- Is there anyone who died?

- No, there isn't.

- Good… This is good news. How did it happen, tell me?

- It's not a big deal, chief... One of the kids got into one of the sandworm nests unnecessarily. Naturally, I had to kill the sandworm…

- Is that all?

- I don't know what else to tell you, chief. Dealing with these incompetents tires me out…

I had set up ten sandworms for everyone to catch in their own areas as part of the mission. I said to catch only three, but they couldn't even achieve a 30% success rate.

(He paused a little, then shook his head slightly from side to side and when the displeasure was reflected on his face, he added) When I look back at our past years, we were saying catch ten sandworms. Most of the students was being caught them by evening.

Chief, I don't mean to interfere with your work but these kids are very stupid and very incompetent. I'm sure if we went out and got four people from the street right now they could do a better job than these guys. They're lowering the standards of our academy, they're useless.

- Sarp… These are issues that are beyond you and me. Just focus on your job, okay?

The atmosphere that had become silent after a calm scolding was broken when Head Instructor Turan started talking. And the two chatted a little more while taking in the beautiful view. Finally, when Instructor Sarp got up to go to his duty Head Instructor Turan went to his desk and took some documents from his desk with him and the two of them left the room together..

Durualp said, "I'll be bored if I go home at this hour," so Demir and Tauriel and Eiderd came to the classroom where they were on duty. When they entered, Teacher Ayla was very surprised when she saw them,

- What are you doing here, children?

- (Demir) Hello my teacher. Our Instructor Sarp said that our lesson ended. We came here to support our friends.

- (When the thought "Instructor Sarp, who is extremely obsessed with lesson hours, is unlikely to end his lesson early. Something must have happened" took over Teacher Ayla, she asked gently with a fake smile on her face)

Demir… Did something happen while you were in class? I couldn't quite understand why your lesson ended early.

- I was in classroom, my teacher Durualp was on duty. Ask him if you want. He can tell you better what happened…

Teacher Ayla's sharpened gaze, like an eagle looking for its prey, caught Duralp immediately. And a little later, Teacher Ayla had learned all the facts from Durualp. But since the lesson was still going on, she had to suppress her desire to go to Head Instructor Turan. When the lessons were finally over and the children went home, Teacher Ayla quickly set off towards Head Instructor Turan's room...

Having planned what she was going to say in her head, Teacher Ayla knocked on the door and entered the room. Head Instructor Turan, who was organizing the daily documents on his desk, greeted Teacher Ayla without taking his eyes off the documents,

- Welcome Ayla.

- Hello, Dear Principal.

- I'll keep you waiting a little. Please give me some time to get these documents together.

- Okay.

Teacher Ayla, thinking that the moment had come when she would be rid of Instructor Sarp, did not object to this waiting and sat down in one of the nearest seats. When Head Instructor Turan came to her a little later, she gave him her daily report and then got to the main topic,

- Dear Principal, you know that I have complaints about Instructor Sarp's educational methods. Considering today's events, what do you plan to do about this...

I think that what happened today shows that Instructor Sarp is not suitable to train these children. You will now remove him from this position, right?

- Teacher Ayla, as you know, there are likely to be some minor accidents in our academy's first probationary year. In fact, some of these accidents have resulted in the deaths of probationary students, but our academy has never compromised on its course content and methods.

- (The image of Instructor Sarp fluttering his wings and leaving the academy in Teacher Ayla's mind was suddenly shattered by Head Instructor Turan's words. And the deep disappointment inside him was reflected on his face) So... Are you not going to do anything?

- Yes, I will not. Instructor Sarp will continue his duty.

- Then you should definitely give a punishment. (When he saw Head Instructor Turan's "what are you saying" look, he offered another option.) You can at least send an official warning letter, right?

- (Head Instructor Turan couldn't ignore Teacher Ayla's pleading look after she finished her speech and accepted her suggestion to appease her) I'll see, maybe we can give a verbal warning, even if it's not written, but I don't promise.

When the thought that Instructor Sarp would be scolded settled in Teacher Ayla's mind, she cheered up a little. And then she shared another thought that she believed would be good for the children,

- Dear Principal, I've been thinking for a while, I wonder if we can train children in our academy's training field? That way, we wouldn't have to use the portal to go to distant training areas. As you know, those places are very dangerous because they are the natural habitats of the creatures we use for our mission.

The events that happened today clearly showed us this danger. Therefore, wouldn't it be more appropriate to provide training in our academy, which is less dangerous and whose environment and structure we know? What do you think about this suggestion?

- Teacher Ayla, I just told you. You're probably not listening to me. We will never compromise on our training methods. Subject closed...

- !!?

The conversation between the two ended without before it gets longer and when Teacher Ayla walked out the door, Head Instructor Turan was grumbling angrily.

- If he could, he would never let the children out of his classroom so that nothing would happen to them. Are we raising civil servants? They are warriors, warriors… Well, I won't get angry…

When time passed and he calmed down a bit, he made himself a hot coffee and sat in his favorite armchair by the window, sipping his coffee while enjoying the beautiful view…
