As I was walking down the street, I noticed that people were swarming all around me and grabbing my clothes while screaming at me in a language that I did not understand.
While I tried to turn on the translation function of my scouter, they started pulling on my healer robes, and I was not able to turn it on because I was also trying to protect Nova from the harassment that she was dealing with as I saw them throwing items at her.
I was only able to keep most of the people off her until the guard started to pull through the crowd trying to separate us from the people who are the trash of this world.
"Please heal my daughter she is unable to move from her bed." One peasant said as she started to pull on my right shoulder.
The people continued to pull on our clothes tearing into their pieces as they requested our help with a variety of different situations.
Then I saw that the guards at the gate came into the group, separating Nova and me from all the peasants who were trying to grab us both.
"Back away and go back to where you came from. If you want to get help from the healers of The House of Lupus then you can schedule an appointment to get yourself or your families healed." One of the guards said as he pushed the peasants to the ground with a swing of his baton.
Most of them fell onto their backs with a single swing.
The guards protected both Nova and me from the people that were harassing us. When we made it to the barrier, one of the guards continued to beat up the peasants as they got close to us, while the other guard deactivated the barrier,r, granting us access to the upper district of the city.
"Oh, before we go, sir, where is the building that we will use to buy a house within this section of the city?" I asked him.
"The agency that I would suggest to any newcomers to this world would be the fourth building on the right side of the second block on the main street."
"Thank you very much for the advice; it is very appreciated". I said to the guards as I did a light bow out of respect and thanks for what he said.
After Nova and I had entered the upper district, I noticed a massive difference in the grade of architecture and design. Most of these buildings were at least three stories tall. They each had glass windows, unlike the rest of the city, which was mostly using window frames made of wood.
The street was also much better put together and clean because I saw a cleaning robot going up and down the street constantly scanning for cracks in the road as well as waste that might have fallen or been dropped near where it was cleaning.
I followed the instructions that I was given and made it to the agency that he had advised us to go to buy a house.
On the inside of the structure, there was red carpet flooring, and the walls were marble. Some chairs were padded and had emeralds in them grouped. This told me that we were in the upper district of the city.
"Hello master and mistress; what can we help you with today?" A very tall elderly man who was well dressed in a white four-piece suit said as he bowed to both of us when we entered the structure that the guard had told us to go to for us to purchase our new house.
"Well, we would like to purchase our first home since we are new to this world". I said to him as I was looking at him.
"All right then, to know what kind of house to suggest to you, there are a few things that I will need to know.
First off what role in society are you playing so that I know the rough budget that you will be living off? Then after that, I will need to know how many bedrooms and bathrooms you will want in the home". He said to us as he pulled out a tablet from a cabinet to the left of where he was.
"We are healers, and we have not fully decided what type of house we would want yet," I said confidently to him.
"All right then why don't I let you both sit down and look at this tablet and make some decisions on your own while I check your account information and see if it is true that you are getting paid a healer's salary? I do apologize if it sounds inconvenient for you but a lot of people try to fake their role in society so that they can make more money."
"I have no problem with it". I told him as I looked at Nova. " Do you have a problem with that at all dear?".
"I do not have a problem with you checking us at all".
"Well, then it is official. We are both okay with it." I said to him as I handed him the black card I was given when I entered the town.
"All right then I will check your information to verify your claim, and while I do that will you both, please take a seat and look at this tablet that shows available housing options that are within the upper district of the city". after he said that he handed me the black tablet that had pictures of houses on it.
Then after he left and went his own way, I sat in the first pair of chairs with Nova that were on the left side of the room so that we could decide on what kind of house we wanted to buy.
"So, Nova do you have any specific things that you are looking for in our future house?". I asked her as I was swiping through the pictures on the tablet with my right hand.
"Well, first I want as massive of an open front or backyard as we can find since I'm assuming we are planning to have multiple children," Nova said as I saw her look deeply into my eyes.
"Well of course; that is something that we will at least agree on," I said in response to what she said. "Now, I was thinking that we should have at least four bedrooms and three baths in our house."
"That sounds good to me. I also wanted to have a home with a massive master bedroom for our special time".
After she said that to me, I felt her hand starting to climb up my left leg, and I was able to feel the tension in my whole body increase as she moved further up my leg.
So, I went to the filters option on the tablet and put in the information that we had discussed. When I did it gave us only six options that met our criteria.
"Okay, baby, there are only six options in this world that meet our minimal criteria. I will let you make the final decision on which one we will call home.
After I handed her the tablet, she pressed one of the houses and stood up because a 3D projection of the house showed up all around us.
This technology was truly amazing it let us get a look inside the house and at the state of everything before we bought it so that there would be no kind of scam of any type. I bet that they don't get this kind of special treatment in the middle or lower ring of this world.
I stood up and walked around the projection until I was in the bedroom. I noticed that this house was quite spacious and it had hardwood walls and marble floor telling me that this was going to be a very expensive house.
If this was what Nova wanted I was going to be happy because this place was the kind of place I could call home and raise my future children.
"It seems that your information was accurate sir. Both of you are healers and register for any house type that you want. It is truly an honor to meet someone with such a rare type of talent". the male salesman said as he bowed to me as if Nova and I were like gods to him.
"I think she has decided on the house that she wants to buy". I told him after I noticed that Nova stopped exploring the house that was currently on display around us.
"That is good to hear. As long as you two are satisfied with our services".
"Yes, I would like this one with the hardwood floor and metal roofing," Nova said as she pointed at a property that had a house that was mostly black with some cyan as an accent color.
"That is an excellent choice. Now, if you want this house to be in your name, it will cost you 20,000 credits. After that, we will pull 2000 credits every month from your account until it is paid off. All our payment plans are set for 10 years duration. Is that okay with you both?"
I looked at Nova, and she looked back at me, and then we both nodded our heads up and down at him at the same time to show him that we agreed with that payment plan.
"All right then, just let me register you for it, and the property will be in your name. Whenever you are done making the payments we will give you the deed for the house," he told us as he clicked a few things on the tablet and then placed our card on the side of it to be scanned by a blue light.
I looked at Nova with excitement and thrill because we knew that the next thing that we were going to do was make our marriage official.
"Your purchase has been completed. This house is now being paid through both of your accounts. We thank you for your business, and we hope that you enjoy your new life under The House of Lupus".
The elderly man gave me my black card back, and then he bowed before leaving us alone.
"Now that that is done are you ready to tie the knot and make it official between us?" I asked Nova as I grabbed her by the hand and guided her out of the building.
"Danny, you know you don't have to ask me that; I have been patiently waiting for this day for almost four full years". Nova said to me as she kissed me.
I guided her to a very fancy structure that was supposed to be a chapel. When I made it to the chapel, I entered the building knowing that both of us were about to become one individual before we left and that one of my life aspirations would be official now.
