Chapter 155: Killing Four Demons Instantly
_____
"Teigu user?"
The Four Rakshasa Demons' expressions shifted, though they didn't seem afraid. They had a track record of defeating imperial weapon users with their bare hands.
"I didn't expect an imperial tool user to sneak into the Royal Guards. That old stubborn General Budo is going to be in serious trouble now. Haha, the minister will definitely love hearing about this" said Mez, the dark-skinned, blonde-haired girl, grinning widely.
Sten, a sturdy man with a thick beard, stepped forward slowly, his fists cracking as he clenched them. "Let me test his strength first!"
"Be careful! There's something strange about him. He's incredibly powerful!" warned ibara, still examining his deformed palm. If not for his ability to control his body, his hand would have been crushed.
"Powerful, huh? Hahaha, I love strong opponents!" Sten roared with excitement.
The Four Rakshasa Demons were considered the pinnacle of human strength, and among them, Sten was the strongest.
Boom!
Sten launched himself forward like a cannonball, instantly closing the gap between him and Aoki. His fist shot out, and the air was filled with the shadows of his punches.
"Royal Fist Temple's Hundred Splitting Fists!"
"You've got a solid build."
Admiration gleamed in Aoki's eyes.
In the transparent world he perceived, Sten's muscles and blood vessels were crystal clear. Physically speaking, these four were superior to most humans.
If they became demons, they might even rival upper-rank level demons.
With that thought, Aoki realized that finding strong opponents to provide resources for his upgrades had always been a challenge. But now, the Royal Fist Temple seemed like a promising option.
Royal Fist Temple had long been in league with the ministers. They trained minions and private soldiers for the ministers in exchange for privileges and rewards.
All who trained at the Royal Fist Temple were martial arts masters with incredible physiques and skills.
As resources for upgrading, they might prove to be even more valuable than imperial tool users.
Aoki pushed aside his thoughts and anticipated Sten's next move. In a flash, he weaved through the barrage of punches and struck with lightning speed.
Whoosh!
Aoki's palm pierced through Strn's chest, emerging on the other side, dripping with blood that splattered onto the ground.
Sten's movements came to an abrupt halt. He stared at Aoki in disbelief. His lips moved slightly, but his breath was quickly fading.
Aoki withdrew his hand and injected a drop of his own blood into Sten's body before sending him into another space. He sighed, feeling reflective.
Humans were far easier to deal with.
Just think of what he'd encountered since arriving in this world. First, there was Esdeath, and then one super dangerous species after another, each more terrifying than the last.
The games he was playing were at the highest level possible.
The three remaining demons, who had been watching, were all stunned. Their faces paled, looking increasingly grim.
They had anticipated Sten might lose—after all, the opponent was an imperial tool user. Though they had defeated imperial weapon users before, they knew firsthand how difficult they were to handle.
However, they hadn't expected Sten to be defeated so quickly and so brutally. Not only had he lost, but he'd also lost his life—a completely unforeseen outcome.
In terms of physical strength, Sten had been the strongest among them, but he was punched through the chest, his heart crushed by a single strike.
The most disturbing part was that the enemy hadn't used an imperial weapon, nor had there been any noticeable collision. Aoki had simply taken one light step forward and punched, killing Sten instantly.
They all had extremely rich combat experience and understood very well that this was the most terrifying part.
Sten's moves had been completely seen through! Not only was the opponent an imperial weapon user, but his own strength was terrifyingly formidable!
"Attack together!" Ibara no longer hesitated.
He had sensed something was off from their first clash. He had wanted to let Sten try again, but didn't expect it would cost Sten his life.
Mez and Suzuka were both momentarily startled.
The Four Rakshasa Demons, joining forces to fight a single enemy?
How long had it been since this had last happened? However, thinking back to the scene where Sten was punched straight through the chest just now, they were no longer surprised.
This man was indeed the most dangerous opponent they had encountered in recent years.
The three of them immediately sprang into action, forming a triangle and surrounding Aoki in the middle.
Ibara swung his arms, which suddenly stretched out as if they were made of rubber. Suzuka spread his fingers wide and slashed them toward Aoki through the air, his nails rapidly growing into five sharp blades.
Sweat glistened on Mez's skin as she launched herself at Aoki.
None of them held back, attacking with their full might, their eyes fixed intently on Aoki.
In the next moment—
Phew!
Three sharp whips pierced the foreheads of the three demons simultaneously.
Before they could even register fear, their consciousness faded into darkness.
Blood trickled down the whips and seeped into their bodies. The bodies of the three began twitching involuntarily, their once-weak life force growing strong again.
Aoki, standing over the corpses, grabbed one in each hand and threw all three into his alternate space.
The stronger the person, the longer it took for them to fully transform into a demon.
Tsugikuni Michikatsu, also known as Kokushibo, had taken three full days to complete his transformation into a demon.
Judging by their physical strength alone, the Four Rakshasa Demons were even stronger than Michikatsu, and it would take a while before they awoke.
As for the fact that the three of them had died so quickly, Aoki was not surprised in the least.
First of all, his strength far exceeded that of the Four Rakshasa Demons.
He had already deduced that the only human in this world stronger than him was Esdeath.
Secondly, he had acted with full intent, while they had acted blindly.
He knew everything there was to know about the Four Rakshasa Demons, but they knew nothing about him, especially about the whip—a form of attack completely inhuman in nature.
Given both factors, it was no surprise that he had managed to kill all three instantly.
The once-infamous Four Rakshasa Demons had disappeared from the world in the blink of an eye, leaving behind only a few traces of blood on the ground. This was an ending no one could have foreseen.
Aoki lifted his gaze.
Ahead of him stood a luxurious palace.
There were many similar palaces within the imperial grounds, none of which had seemed particularly special before.
But now...
The appearance of the Four Rakshasa Demons here suggested that Honest might be inside this palace.
Aoki didn't waste any time and walked directly toward the palace.
Boom!
He kicked the palace door open with a single strike.
Immediately, all eyes turned toward him, their expressions ranging from anger to fear and curiosity.
Aoki paid no attention to their reactions, his gaze sweeping around the room.
There was no sign of Honest.
A middle-aged man with a delicate, feminine demeanor stormed toward Aoki, his face twisted in anger. "Who are you? How dare you break into the palace? This is—"
Aoki stretched out his hand, grabbing the man by the neck and lifting him off the ground.
"Is the Minister here?"
The man's anger vanished instantly, replaced by trembling fear. "No! The Minister isn't here! I was just being rude. Please forgive me! Spare my life!"
Aoki tossed him aside.
This man had loose muscles, an unsteady gait, and his physical condition was even worse than that of an ordinary person. He wasn't even worthy of being used as upgrade material.
