"Master, what happened?" Luke asked, concerned.
"Don't worry, she's just a very needy statue," Dmitry said, running his hand over the statue's face. Looking around, he noticed a certain shine on the back of one of the sea rats. "Trins, check out the shine on that rat's back; it's quite obvious it has something to do with the statue."
Dmitry stood up, placing a hand on Anlow's shoulder, who seemed restless, his draconic blood pushing him to the limit.
To avoid any issues, Dmitry glanced at the game map and marked the option to show the mobs nearby. "Go ahead, have some fun. There's a horde of evolved goblins a mile and a half to our left. Take them out and bring their belongings; we'll need them in the future."
Anlow sighed with relief, and without saying another word, his face lit up with a big smile. His eyes glowed, and as his scales relaxed, they revealed some of the red skin underneath. He leapt toward the goblins, whose lives were now destined for death.
"Dmitry, the shine was from this object. What does it mean?" Trins asked curiously, holding a strange glowing ring in his hand, clearly showing what the statue wanted.
"A queen? She can't live without a king? I think that's a bit off, but if that's what you want," Dmitry said, taking Trins' hand, who continued to look at him confused.
"This is tiring me out. Dmitry, what does it mean?" Trins asked with a sad face, which, due to his appearance, made for a cute expression of a sleepy girl.
"In short, the greatest act of love is when you give a part of your life to another person, staying by their side until the end," Dmitry explained, reading the item's description. When he placed the ring on the finger of the sleeping statue, it would awaken after absorbing half of his life, binding them in a relationship where one's strength was equal to the other's.
"The stronger you are, the stronger I'll be, and together no one can stop us," Dmitry said, putting the ring on the statue's finger. It began to crack and crumble, revealing a beautiful woman with orange hair and green eyes, smiling angelically. She looked at Dmitry and asked,
"Are you my king?" She spoke with a soft voice, enough to make Trins fall asleep, dropping back to the ground.
"Yes, my queen, I am your king and will lead you to glory once again. Will you join me and my group to complete our plan?" Dmitry said, caressing the woman's hand, who seemed embarrassed by the situation. She would be the first of the NPCs to have a normal personality.
"Ah ~ finally, I've waited for you for so long. You will be all mine, and I will be all yours. Nothing and no one will hold you back," the woman said, pulling Dmitry towards her soft, ample bosom.
'Ah, of course not,' Dmitry thought, giving up any possible situation where one of his group members would be a normal person.
