Chereads / Time-limited F-Class Housewife / Chapter 11 - RICH HUSBAND

Chapter 11 - RICH HUSBAND

"I HAVE a game husband," Gyubin explained. "I play Solaville."

"Oh," Wooju said, obviously relieved. And then he paused for a moment as if he had realized something. "The game that my sister's company made?"

"Your sister's company?"

"My noona inherited our company and became the chairman of Hansung Group a few years ago," Wooju explained nonchalantly. "Noona just made me the CEO of our department store so I can contribute to the family wealth— or something like that."

The department store that Wooju was talking about was none other than Summit Square— the #1 luxury shopping mall in Korea.

"I wish I could say something like that, too."

"Say what?"

"That my sister gave me a shopping mall."

"If we get married, you'll be the owner of Summit, too."

Gyubin laughed because she thought Wooju was joking.

But, no, he wasn't.

He looked as serious as hell.

"Wooju-ssi, are you not going to ask me to sign a prenup before we get married?"

"Prenuptial agreement? I really don't care about that. But, if you want one, then I'll ask my lawyer to arrange it for us."

Okay, she was kinda dumbfounded.

"Wooju-ssi, I'm broke as hell. I even have a "debut debt" that I owe my current company."

"I'm aware of your financial situation, Gyubin."

"Then you should protect your wealth from me," Gyubin insisted, tapping her fingertips on the table. "There's a possibility of me giving birth to the baby dragon earlier than normal. What if I divorced you after that?"

"I really don't mind even if you end up with half of my wealth," Wooju said casually. "You're carrying an S-Grade Beast in your womb, Gyubin. To be precise, you're pregnant with the child destined to save the world. Even if you ask me to give you the department store, I'll give it to you in a heartbeat. You deserve that— and more."

"Wooju-ssi, you're generous. Too generous. I'm actually quite shocked."

"There's one thing I can't give you, though."

"What is it?"

"A perfect wedding," Wooju said, frowning. "I'm afraid we have to rush the wedding preparations."

"How "rush" would it be?"

"We only have two weeks to prepare."

Gyubin's eyes widened, surprised. "Is it because we're having a "shotgun" wedding?"

"That and because we need to get married before my friends and family return to Korea," Wooju said, sighing. "I'm sorry to say this, but I'm sure my friends will oppose our marriage. I can convince my sister to let me marry you, though. Noona doesn't really care about my private life. The problem is my sister's mother-in-law. My sister listens to her. So, if Noona's mother-in-law says I shouldn't get married, my Noona will try to change my mind."

"That's what I'm waiting for you to say, Wooju-ssi."

"Hmm?"

"Now I don't feel like this is a dream anymore," Gyubin said, grinning. "I feel like I'm in a makjang now."

"Makjang?"

"Those cheesy, over-the-top dramas with super crazy plot twists," she said, and then she clapped her hands. "Wooju-ssi, do you think your sister will offer me money and ask me to stay away from you?"

"If that happens, tell me— I'll double my sister's offer."

Pfft!

If I didn't know better, I'd think Wooju-ssi is desperate to marry me because of love and not because he feels guilty for "getting" me pregnant.

Gyubin found that "plot twist" ridiculous, so she simply changed the topic. "When you say "friends," were you talking about your fellow Pillars? I'm not a stalker, okay? It's just that every Korean knows that you have a tight-knit friend group."

Han Wooju of the Blue Dragon Guild.

Hong Saebi of the Red Phoenix Guild.

Park Kiyoung of the White Tiger Guild.

Nam Eunho of the Black Serpent Guild.

The four of them are known as the Pillars, and many people from different parts of the world are fans of their friend group.

"Yeah, it's them," Wooju said while nodding. "They're always wary of new people, so it may take them quite some time before they warm up to you. I don't want to make you wait for too long, so I decided we should get married before I introduce you to them. Will that be alright with you?"

"I should be the one asking you that, Wooju-ssi," Gyubin said. "I don't mind since this is only a contract marriage. But how about you? They are your family and friends."

"It's fine."

Hmm.

Since he said it was fine, then she wouldn't meddle with his affairs.

He's older than me, so I hope he knows what he's doing.

"By the way, will it be alright if we leave the wedding preparations to my PR Team?" Wooju asked, slightly worried. "Since they only have two weeks to prepare, I can't give you a wedding as lavish as my sister's."

Gyubin almost choked on her saliva.

Han Juwon— Wooju's older sister and the CEO of Hansung Group— got married five or six years ago to a respectable A-Class Hunter.

It was called the wedding of the decade.

"Your sister's wedding ceremony was like a fairy tale," Gyubin said, sighing dreamily when she remembered the pictures and videos that got leaked back then. "Actually, your sister's wedding inspired me to make my own wedding mood board on Interest."

"Wedding mood board?"

"It's a visual representation of all the inspiration I've gathered for my own future wedding," Gyubin explained, and then she opened her Interest account. "Come closer, Wooju-ssi."

Wooju scooped his chair closer to her without asking questions.

And oh lala.

This man smells so nice.

Gyubin cleared her throat to distract herself from her thirsty thoughts. "Here, look at this."

She showed Wooju the picture collage saved on her Interest account.

"I want a pink wedding. So, as you can see, my color motif is pink, white, peaches, gold, and creams," Gyubin explained excitedly. "Look, this is what I want for the wedding venue— I want it to look like a whimsical garden."

She then pointed at the wedding cake.

"Then I want a white wedding cake as big as this," Gyubin said, giggling because it was funny how she wanted that bigass cake when she was broke as hell. "It has to have a strawberry filling. That's non-negotiable."

"Alright," Wooju said, nodding. "I like strawberry shortcakes."

"You do?"

"Yes."

Wooju didn't look like the type to enjoy sweets, but that was just Gyubin's bias.

Hence, she just kept her mouth shut and carried on with her explanation.

"This is my dream wedding dress," Gyubin said excitedly. "It's a ready-made gown by Miss Helga— a renowned Korean-American designer. Their flagship store is in New York, but they actually have a branch in your department store, Wooju-ssi. It's the only Helga Bridal store in the entire country."

Wooju tilted her head to one side. "Are you saying we can buy your dream wedding dress right now at my department store?"

"If it's still there, then yes."

"Let's buy it now."

"Are you crazy? That dress is ten million won!"

"So? That's just half my monthly allowance when I was in middle school."

Gyubin gasped out loud. "Your monthly allowance when you were in middle school was twenty million won?!"

Wooju nodded as if it wasn't a big deal.

Oh.

I forgot that he's a chaebol.

"Now I'm afraid to ask how much your allowance increased when you were in high school," Gyubin said, putting her hands over her chest when her heart beat crazy fast against her chest. "I need time to get used to the fact I'm marrying a chaebol."

"So, you should divorce your virtual husband now."

Hmm?

Gyubin detected the humor in Wooju's monotonous voice.

He knows how to joke?

Pfft.

Gyubin closed the Interest app and opened the game Solaville.

She noticed Wooju looked away as if to give her privacy even though she was just logging in.

"Actually, my virtual husband ghosted me a year ago," Gyubin said while busy on her phone. "Even if I send divorce papers to my virtual husband now, it won't take effect right away unless he signs them."

"The divorce will take effect whether your virtual husband signs the divorce papers or not after twenty-eight days."

"How did you know… oh, right. Your sister's company made the game."

"I also have a virtual wife in that game."

"You should divorce her, too."

"I uninstalled the game a long time ago, so she probably already divorced me."

"Oh, I see," Gyubin said, nodding. "By the way, can I have President Lim's number? I want to turn his offer down properly."

"Don't bother," Wooju said casually while shaking his head. "He has probably seen the vision of our marriage already."

"WOOJU and Baek Gyubi-ssi decided to get married."

Park Dong-min clenched his hands tight. "Did they force Binnie to marry Han Wooju?"

He went to President Lim Hojin's office after he was summoned.

But he didn't expect to hear that piece of terrible news.

"It's a mutual decision between the two, Hunter Park. But that's not why I summoned you here."

"Then what do you want from me, President Lim?"

"Don't tell Han Wooju," President Lim said in a kind yet slightly firm voice. "Don't tell him that Baek Gyubin is Kim Gyuri from Nami Island."

Ah.

"Of course, I won't," Park Dong-min said, clenching his hands. "Even Gyubin understands that Han Wooju shouldn't know."
