Lucifer thought for a moment what might have caused the change in their behavior toward him before deciding to break the uncomfortable silence in the room by greeting them.
"I'm home," he said, taking a few steps closer to them. "What are you both doing?"
Neither of his sisters answered him right away and just ignored him. Layla kept typing away on her keyboard while Kiera stared down at her phone screen with a bored expression.
When it seemed they weren't going to answer him anytime soon, Lucifer decided not to waste more time waiting and headed out of the bedroom. He didn't plan to play games with them.
As soon as he crossed the threshold, though, Layla called out to him without even turning around to look at him. "So you finally remembered about us? Or are you here just because you want to gloat and show off your new girlfriend?"
