In the ICU of a renowned hospital, doctors and nurses were scared out of their minds as they looked at the lifeless newborn.

"What should we do now? What should we do, doctor? Steve Reynolds will kill us for not being able to save his newborn son... Please do something!" One of the junior doctors cried. This particular infant was the only son of the infamous Steve Reynolds, a billionaire who possessed power so great that everyone dreaded him. It was said that nobody survived being on the bad side of him.

The lead doctor, struggling to keep his own fear in check, shouted back, "WHAT CAN I DO? I'm not God! I can't bring the dead back to life! His son is dead, and that's it!"

Meanwhile, a man with golden hair and blue eyes stood in the corner of the room. He was watching everything that was happening in silence, but no one could see him. He had his arms crossed in front of his chest, and a smile that was clearly delighted with the turn of events had found its way to his lips.

"Oh, look at all of you... scrambling over the death of a mere human," he muttered to himself, while his smile got even wider. "Well, this works out perfectly for me. Makes things easier. Now, shall I play a little game and see what it's like to live as a mortal for a while?"

Just as the man finished speaking to himself, a nurse screamed out loud. Her shrill voice broke the eardrums of anyone within range.

"KYAA!!! The baby is gone!"

"WHY ARE YOU SHOUTING? We already know the baby is gone," the junior doctor glared at the nurse who shouted. However, the nurse, still trembling, pointed at the table and shouted once again.

"No, sir! His body! It's gone!"

"WHAT?" The doctor's eyes went wide in disbelief, and he looked toward where the lifeless newborn was supposed to be lying. But before he could do so, all the lights went out, and everything went dark.

And as the darkness settled, a new set of cries filled the entire room. It wasn't a cry of fear, but the wail of a baby—healthy and full of life!

After a while, the lights came back on, and there in front of everyone was the once-dead baby, seemingly glowing in his own ethereal light, crying for the milk and warmth of its mother.

For a moment, no one moved. And then, the same thought echoed in each of their minds:

We're saved.
