Chapter 12 - Chapter 12 Disrobing

Cat stopped on the pathway, her face set in an irritated look.

"Pardon me? I believe I told you not to come this event. So, why are you here?" She quipped as she took a seat across from him.

Cas's smug look told her she wasn't going to like the answer.

"Well, you know," He began, "Sometimes when a person has an event such as this, they send things called "invitations" out to people they like or want to attend. I just so happen to be a recipient of one of these. And Marcus was too, surprisingly."

Cat's brow scrunched in the middle as she crossed her arms, huffing.

"Well, I suppose you are my sister's taste in people. At least this time you were actually invited." She muttered.

He leaned up from the back of the chair, uncrossing his legs and resting his arms on them. The smile he shot her made heat rise in her face. The charm factor must have been set to one hundred percent.

"Speaking of your sister, she's quite beautiful today. Must run in the family I guess." Cas complimented.

Cat's tinge of red took on a deeper shade at the compliment. She cleared her throat as she looked away.

"Well that's something we agree on then. It took forever to get Silvia in that dress." Cat mentioned.

"Hmm, yes, well if that was a nightmare for you all then imagine only how hard it will be to get her out of the dress after she's had a few drinks. I'm a bit of an expert on the subject." He laments.

She glanced away from him, to embarrassed to look him head on. As for Casimir, he was leaning back against the bench with his arms resting on both sides of the back. His right eyebrow was cocked upward along with an amused grin gracing his fine features. All this only furthered Cat's goal of not looking at him in that moment.

"That's a terrible talent to admit having, Sir." She chastised.

He bellowed with laughter, "Oh come now, I know you're young, but you can't be that surprised right? I'm a healthy adult, it's perfectly normal for me to be interested in the finer sex and all the fun activities that come with it."

"Yes, well most don't admit to it so readily. That's the most shocking part of this conversation." She admitted.

Finally feeling less embarrassed, she made her way over to the bench across from Casimir to take a seat. She was now looking at him.

"Ah well, that's one way to view it I suppose. I look at it as my future wife having an easier wedding night whoever she may be." He concluded.

She had no words or thoughts really in the beginning of the conversation. Nothing to ask him that had to do with the new information that he had advanced skills in the art of disrobing people. But as the conversation continued, one thought kept popping into her head no matter how hard she tried to ignore it. To put it in the back of her mind and eventually forget it. A question really. The middle of her brow scrunched up in concentration as she debated with herself about whether or not she should ask. He could see she was in deep concentration and decided against speaking so that she may gather the courage to say whatever it was she has having so much trouble thinking about. Finally she decided to go for it.

"How hard would mine be?" She questioned intently.

If he were any other man, he likely would have fell off the bench from how blindsided the question made him feel. Fortunately Cas had good balance. He was surprised though, his eyes widening a large fraction and his body sitting up straighter.

"Pardon me?" He asked.

"How hard would mine be?" She repeated.

His mouth was agape as he looked at her, "I'm so sorry, but you are going to need to be so much clearer if I am going to answer that."

She cleared her throat before replying, "How hard would my dress be to remove? You are the so claimed expert. So? How hard would be?"

A blush slowly crept up on Casimir's cheeks as he glanced her over attire. After a couple seconds a small smirk appeared on his face and he sent her a wink.

"Not very. If a man were as skilled as I am, then he'd make quick work of your assemble." He grinned.

"Hmm. I suppose I'll have to add more elaborate lacing next time I get a dress made." She threw back at him.

He gave a small laugh, " ah ha yes, the more elaborate the corset and laces, the longer it does take to disrobe someone. However, I find I like the challenge. It makes for a great build up if you catch my meaning."

Her face was positively beet red as she glanced away quickly, small laughs coming from behind the hand covering her mouth.

"I'm so sorry, haha, I simply have no response to that." She mumbled.

A laid back smile took over the grin that Cas had on his face. He decided to ease off of the conversation, even though he was greatly enjoying it, as he could tell she was starting to become uncomfortable. She seemed to enjoy the beginning of the conversation though. Perhaps if they were around each other more then she would be more open as she was just now.

"Hmm, well, I actually was hoping I would run into you again someday."

She cocked her head in confusion, "Why? We don't really know each other and don't really have a reason to know each other?"

He sighed, "Um, yes, that's sort of why I was hoping we could get to know each other? I quite like our conversations. They're entertaining. At least for me they are, though I was hoping they would be for you too? And that you would maybe like to, not a date, but to "hang out" as the younger ones are calling it these days? There's this bookstore I think you'd really enjoy that you have to have an access card to get into, and I think you'd enjoy quite a bit? They also have a cafe inside that I greatly enjoy that we could get lunch or brunch at? Of course if you don't want to I won't push it. All up to you, of course. So what do you say?"

She had a sparkle in her eye, "Are you referring to the Aleron Empiral Bookstore? The one in the Capital Forana? That bookstore?"

Her enthusiasm caught him off guard.

"Yes, that would be the one."

She practically jumped off the bench, "What day? Are you picking me up or should I met you somewhere? What should I wear? Is there a dress requirement?"

He noticed she was smiling now.

"Ah, how about we met up in front of the cafe a week from now on Monday at nine am? And there's no requirement of clothing, I've walked in there at five in the morning in days old clothes haha. Just wear something you feel comfortable reading in."

Catalina beamed at him, "Fantastic! I've never been there before. I've seen it when we go to our town house but this will be my first time there." An attendant came, calling her name for some wedding festivity, "I have to go now. It looks like they are about to do the bouquet toss. I can't wait for Monday! See you then"

Her smile was contagious as it seemed to spread to him. He watched her walk through the doors, lead by the attendant.

"I can't wait either." He murmured to himself.
