Chapter 19 - Chapter 19: The Gathering Storm

Everyone was on the battlefield.

On one side stood Arthur and four generals from Veloria, backed by an army of 20,000 soldiers. Opposing them, Sicotes, Zarath, and four generals of Aquafera stood on a tall, pillar-like structure, with an army of 50,000 behind them.

Arthur was discussing some matters with his generals when he suddenly felt a familiar presence. He looked to his right and said, "He is here." The four generals became alert and looked in the same direction. Guru Samarth came flying from that direction.

"Welcome back to this land, Guruji," Arthur greeted, bowing to him.

"Thank you, Arthur," Guru Samarth replied with a smile.

Guru Samarth's presence caught the eye of Sicotes. Standing on the pillar, he smiled evilly and said, "Change of plan, Zarath."

"What? But why?"

"I will be fighting that old man. He looks much more powerful than that sloppy brat," Sicotes said with a chilling smile.

"Really? Even girls don't change their minds this quickly. So, what's the deal with that kid? Is he stronger than I am?"

"Nah, he shouldn't be. He's weaker than most of our Ahankaras, so you should be fine," Sicotes replied with a smile.

"Okay, then I will fight that brat, and you fight the old man. Is that correct to assume?"

"Yes. You are becoming smarter with me," Sicotes said with a proud face.

Sicotes took a beautiful white conch shell in his hand and blew into it, producing a resonant sound that signaled his army to charge towards Veloria. On the other side, Guru Samarth did the same, and with that, the war began.

The battlefield quickly filled with dust and the voices of soldiers. As the dust settled, Sicotes looked at Guru Samarth, who sensed it and looked back at him. In an instant, Sicotes disappeared and reappeared in front of Guru Samarth. Guru Samarth became alert and said, "You are strong despite your age." Then, he caught a whiff of something and added, "You use forbidden techniques. What a pity to waste such talent." Guru Samarth sighed.

Sicotes's face twisted with enjoyment. "I am not here to talk," he said with an evil smile. "Aura Manipulation Technique: Kshetra Prabandham!" With that, the soil around Sicotes and Guru Samarth began to expand, creating an isolated area large enough for their battle.

Similarly, the four generals from each side faced off against one another:

Pyrrhus Flamelash, General of Fire from Veloria, vs. Emberis Pyrostorm, General of Fire from Aquafera

Pyrrhus Flamelash: A young man with red spiked hair and an extremely well-built physique. His dark skin is marked by numerous scars on his chest. He wears stylish dark red clothing, leaving his upper half bare, adorned with bangles on his arms and a large golden ribbon on his forehead.

Emberis Pyrostorm: An elderly man with a long white beard, giving him a wise and formidable appearance. Despite his age, he exudes a strong aura. His hands are tied behind his back as he stands calmly, ready for battle.

Jonathan Cirmen - General of Water from Veloria VS...

Jonathan Cirmen, having just entered his 40s, exuded an aura of unwavering strength. His bulked-up frame and casual attire contrasted sharply, making his presence all the more formidable. He stood tall, every muscle in his body taut with readiness, eyes focused and resolute. As he clenched his fists, the air around him seemed to ripple with the latent power he possessed, hinting at the immense force he could unleash at a moment's notice.

...Ceto Abysswave - General of Water from Aquafera

Across from him stood Ceto Abysswave, a 36-year-old woman of unparalleled might. She radiated an aura that was both terrifying and mesmerizing. Her powerful physique and commanding presence drew the eyes of everyone around, and there was no denying the lethal grace she possessed. As she flexed her muscles, a smirk played on her lips, promising a fierce battle. Her eyes sparkled with confidence, reflecting the indomitable spirit within her.

Geon Terraforge - General of Earth from Veloria VS...

Geon Terraforge appeared as if he were carved from the very mountains he commanded. His rock-like skin glinted in the sunlight, and an aura of immense power emanated from him. He moved with the deliberate grace of a mountain, every step resonating with unspoken strength. As he crossed his arms over his chest, the ground beneath him seemed to acknowledge his presence, trembling slightly as if in reverence.

...Thaldrin Rockthorn - General of Earth from Aquafera

Facing him was Thaldrin Rockthorn, a legend in the mastery of earth magic. His presence was like an immovable fortress, and tales of his strength were whispered with reverence. As he approached Geon, the ground beneath him seemed to tremble, acknowledging the arrival of a true master. Thaldrin's gaze was intense, his muscles tensed and ready, emanating a power that felt as ancient and unyielding as the earth itself.

Boreas Frostbane - General of Ice from Veloria VS...

Boreas Frostbane, the epitome of cool, stood with an air of nonchalance. His demeanor was relaxed, almost carefree, yet beneath that exterior lay a strength that was as unyielding as a glacier. He smirked, twirling a shard of ice between his fingers, as if this was just another day for him. The chill in the air around him seemed to intensify, a testament to the icy power he wielded with ease.

...Cryos Snowshard - General of Ice from Aquafera

In stark contrast, Cryos Snowshard, a 19-year-old prodigy, was a whirlwind of fierce determination. His eyes blazed with an unquenchable thirst for challenge, and every fiber of his being screamed a desire to prove his might. He practically vibrated with energy, eager to engage in a battle that would test his limits. As he clenched his fists, frost formed on the ground around him, showcasing the raw, untamed power he commanded.

On the other side of the battlefield, Zarath stood poised, his eyes locked onto his opponent, Arthur. The tension in the air was palpable as both warriors readied themselves for the inevitable clash. Zarath's aura radiated dark power, a chilling contrast to Arthur's blazing determination.

As the two adversaries prepared to face off, the anticipation reached a fever pitch. The crowd held its breath, knowing that this confrontation would be nothing short of legendary.
