Ch- 9
After much deliberation, he finally made the decision to attack. The outcome was devastating, with not a single survivor left in his wake. Most of them succumbed to blood loss, their weak spot exploited with minimal effort on his part. It was a long and difficult journey to reach this point, but ultimately, it was a decision that proved to be worth it.
As the gains were really bountiful, he not only got to know the weakness and strength of all of the creatures that were fighting here but the valuable items dropped by them.
Like the dagger of the goblin general, that he was eye out for, and many more items, he slowly started collecting the items, keeping the useful ones and discarding the useless ones.
Slowly but surely, after collecting all the items, like pieces armor from the death creatures to make a complete set, weapons like dagger, spear, and as well as humanoid bat wings and lamia fangs for inspecting it thoroughly.
He was free handed when he came here, but here he found rags that goblins used to cover themselves with and used it to carry all the items.
But just when he was about to leave, he heard a voice inside his head, making him stop in his track.
[MC'S POV
After a good harvest, i walking going to walk back to my cave for rest, but suddenly out of no where he heard a creepy voice, making him stop in his tracks.
For someone who has seen a lot of things in his life, the voice still made him feel a very strong pressure, making his legs feel like chopsticks - that are ready to get snapped any moment.
The haunting voice sent shivers down my spine, lingering long after enduring experiences that would drive a sane person to madness.
That voice could not be described with words, the only word that could come to mind at that instance was survive but the hope of surviving was extinguishing's by the passing moment.
My senses going bonkers about the impending threat that was right on the corner and I could do nothing about it.
I felt my senses going into overdrive as I realized the imminent threat that loomed just around the corner, and I felt powerless to do anything about it.
The voice said with a thundering tone, "Wait, don't go."
Slowly but prominently the sound of the voice kept increasing, it was a murmur at first but it turned into a whisper in no time.
As the audibility of the voice increased, it was becoming more and more difficult for me to stay awake.
I didn't notice at first but I started bleeding from my eyes, nose and ear, it was getting unbearable for me.
But the last straw that broke the camels back when the voice said, "STOP."
I lost consciousness, the last thing that I remember was my eye lids closing on its own even when I tried resisting the urge but it was futile...
