Lein and Nita were currently at one of the posts.
The supervisor in front of them asked a few questions such as their names, power cores, and origins.
The power core referred to the source of their power, so Lein answered "System." Their origin was the Divine Sky Realm.
After getting the information, the supervisor then issued a bronze badge and handed it to Lein and Nita.
[War Badge]
- Name: Lein
- Power Core: System | Tier-1
- Rank: Bronze
- Contribution Points: 0
- Origin: Divine Sky Realm
Nita received a similar bronze badge.
After their business was finished, they both left.
"Excuse me, Mr. Ju, where can we earn contribution points?" Lein asked Ju Kun, who was outside the post.
"Mr. Lein, you can go to the War Office to take on missions." Ju Kun pointed towards the city gate.
"Mr. Lein, you can exit the portal area, walk straight along the main city road, and after a few minutes, you'll find the War Office."
"Thank you, Mr. Ju."
Lein thanked him, then he and Nita walked towards the city gate.
...
Passing through the gate, the surroundings were quite crowded.
"Excuse me, coming through."
"Come on, come on, there's a discount promotion today."
"New menu items, boost your stamina."
The shouts of the crowd continued to be heard, making Lein feel like he was in a city environment.
"Brother, look at that tower, it's so tall," Nita said, pointing her finger towards a tall tower in the middle of the city.
The tower was very tall, its top not even visible.
"We'll have one like that someday," Lein said casually.
They then walked for a few minutes before finally arriving at a 10-story building, 100 meters wide.
Several soldiers and creatures from different races were coming in and out of the War Office.
"Hey, move aside, do you think you're special with that weak light?"
Two groups were currently clashing near the entrance.
The speaker was a muscular man with a large spiked mace on his back.
The one clashing with him was a young man holding a long swan-feather. The most striking thing about him was the white halo above his head. Yes, the young man was a Faithwarden.
"Tch... Who are you to order me?" The young man with the halo didn't flinch, provoking the muscular man.
"Hahaha... A little brat like you..."
Before he could finish his sentence, the muscular man activated all his equipment. Helmet, armor, boots, and gloves covered his muscular body. The blue mace grew larger, and golden spikes emerged.
The muscular man swung the spiked mace with great force, aiming at the young man with the white halo.
The young man with the halo didn't stay idle. The halo behind him expanded and quickly formed a transparent barrier in front of him.
The spiked mace clashed with the transparent barrier, making a loud noise. The impact caused a strong gust of wind.
Lein watched from a distance, unable to contain his surprise at the power of the two individuals. "What on earth, do they not know there's a Guardian Tower in our area?" Lein thought to himself.
In Lein's view, the transparent barrier shattered, unable to withstand the momentum of the golden spiked mace. A cracking sound was heard, and then the mace hit the young man with the white halo.
The young man flew 20 meters and crashed into one of the building walls.
"Brother, why didn't the Guardian Tower activate? Does this city not have an automatic Guardian Tower?" Nita asked curiously from the side. She also didn't expect the two individuals to take action in a crowded place within the city.
Others didn't interfere with the fight, watching silently from the side.
"Once again, the Players and Faithwardens. They're like dogs and cats."
"Ugh... Enjoy the show, want to bet?"
Some discussions from the side reached Lein's ears. It seemed he gathered some important information; Players and Faithwardens didn't seem to get along.
The young man with the halo felt pain in his chest, but it didn't last long. His eyes currently glowed golden.
The long swan-feather in his hand floated in front of him, then lifted upwards. Feather quills appeared out of thin air. Feathers continued to emerge until there were more than a hundred, then a thousand, and they kept increasing.
"Hahaha... That Player is going to lose this time."
"Damn, is the Faithwarden going serious?"
"I'm worried the Mayor will show up this time to settle the issue."
Discussions from the side continued to provide new information for Lein and Nita.
The young man with the halo's swan-feather filled the sky above him. The feathers then flew down towards the muscular man at high speed. Like a rain of arrows, the muscular man's body became the target.
"Flowing Mace."
A few words came out of the muscular man's mouth. The mace in his hand moved fluidly, and all the incoming feather arrows were casually deflected.
Seeing that his feather attack was ineffective, the young man with the halo, who was 20 meters away, suddenly moved quickly and appeared behind the muscular man.
The white halo above his head flew over the muscular man's head. A bright light enveloped the muscular man.
"Damn... This damned Light Prison again," the muscular man cursed.
He wasn't worried. A clock as big as a ball came out of his bag. The clock's hand turned, and the number 5 appeared.
From an outsider's perspective, the entire area within a 1 km radius had currently stopped.
Mayor's Office.
"Sir, there's a fight between a Player and a Faithwarden again."
A female assistant reported to the middle-aged man behind a large desk.
"Again?" the middle-aged man said lazily.
"Yes, sir. The Player even used his time artifact."
"Tell Elder Zein to handle them," the middle-aged man seemed very reluctant to hear the report. He lazily delegated the matter to Elder Zein.
"Yes, sir," the woman said respectfully. She then broke a long talisman.
Back to the fight in front of the War Office. When the clock started, the surroundings' time stopped.
Some individuals with special abilities were not affected. Like a human with snake eyes and a young man with a black sword at his waist.
Lein and Nita were also unable to move. However, their thoughts were still active, watching the fight between the two individuals.
