Chapter 1 - Audio Log #0 (Introduction)

Andrews: This is Detective Andrews Davidson reporting on October 10th, 1983. This marks my first audio recording since joining the new Greenwood Police Department. The transition to a different town with unfamiliar colleagues presents a notable adjustment.

I have noticed differences in the level of dedication within the local police force compared to my previous department. I am surprised by the number of cases that were dismissed due to a lack of thorough investigation.

-Long Pause-

*Sighs* On my first day, I intend to carefully review previously closed cases that had unresolved outcomes, and make an effort to connect with the families impacted by any oversights made by our department. I hope that by leading by example, I can motivate my colleagues to do the same.

I have a meeting scheduled with my newly assigned partner to discuss the unresolved missing persons case of the Greenwood family. The case was reported on February 22nd, 1974, and was inexplicably closed, leaving many unanswered questions. Further investigation is needed to shed light on the circumstances surrounding this case. I am committed to delving deep into this matter and will share any new developments in a follow-up recording. Speak to me later.

End of recording.
