Nikki's POV

That's the day my sister Miko was born, everyone was there: Dad, my brothers, my brother's girlfriend Daisy was there too, well except for me. I'm Nikki, the second child of Henderson and Megan Hughes, who are entrepreneurs and a lawyer, respectively. They have high-paying jobs and sent all of us to great schools, they are also well respected in their jobs. We live in a great house, with a lot of maids and chefs to help us. The only catch is that they live miles away from me, I live in Tokyo, Japan while they live in Florida, USA. I do not mean it bad, I mean I like living here, but something is missing, which I can't pinpoint.

So back to my sister being born, the truth is that I was away from my house at that time and didn't even know my mom was pregnant in the first place. I was busy being drunk in my friend Satsuki's place. Okay, hear me out, I was 18 years old already and on a school break when I got drunk, so don't worry. I also have my boyfriend Marco, who is currently on vacation in his hometown in South Korea. Me, Satsuki, and Marco met in the school where I am studying and we became close, despite of those two being known as the quiet ones. What I didn't know was I almost spent 75 hours in my friend's home, partying and drinking, not knowing that my parents heard that I was missing and right after my sister was born they took a flight here in Tokyo.

One thing that I remembered before passing out due to drunkness was a loud knock and a woman shouting my name in anger, I didn't realize that it was my mother, in her split personality, which we called Silver. She pointed her gun at me and shouted at me while asking how dare I make them worry, not knowing that they spent 2 and a half days just to search for me. There is also my dad, carrying my newborn sister who looked shocked and unimpressed at the same time. After my mom shouted at me, I decided to answer back, which was a big mistake since I got a slap from her and they walked away after that. I told her that "Why do you even care? You guys left me here, so I'll do whatever the f*ck I want!". She answered, "If you think we didn't care about you, think about the staff who searched for you day and night just to find you. We'll talk once you're sober."

Later that night, I finally sobered up and got home where I was greeted by my grandmother who is my dad's mom. She asked me if I was okay, I asked where they were, and told me that they were upstairs. I climbed upstairs to my room, where my mom, in her usual calm self, dad, and my baby sister were sitting in my bed. They greeted me and they told me that they decided that I should get back to the USA. I don't know the reason whatsoever, but I'm excited to go back, they also told me that I can also bring my boyfriend there, I didn't even know that they knew about him. Honestly, I was so thrilled and excited to go back to the house I was raised in.

Later, they finally let me hold my baby sister Miko and I feel that we will be very close, I can feel it. So we just ate dinner and put her to sleep in my parent's room. Then we got to sleep. That's all for today. Until then, see you next chapter!
