A flicker of disappointment flashed in Saira's eyes. She had hoped for a good show, but there was nothing to see.
Too bad, she couldn't see Zuri humiliated.
"At least she's okay," Saira said with a look of concern.
Natalie disapproved, "Saira, she's the thief who stole your things. How can you still worry about her?"
Samara echoed, "Exactly. People like her need to understand the difference between us. Just because she's now with the Lin family doesn't mean she's a real lady."
"People from that background have a permanent smell of poverty. It's in their bones and can't be washed away. So, Saira, don't worry. A true lady is nurtured from birth. She's just pretending."
For some reason, seeing her, without any sign of poverty or inferiority, standing out so brightly among the crowd, made Samara and the others resentful.
Someone like her should be trampled underfoot. The spotlight should not be on her.
Saira didn't respond, only giving them a disapproving glance, but said nothing more.
"Let's go."
The four were about to leave when Zuri returned.
She came back holding something.
Blake, planning his next move against her, saw Zuri approaching.
Kyle noticed the hose in her hand, "What's she doing with that? Could it be…"
Before he could finish, Zuri turned on the valve, aiming the hose directly at Blake's group. People nearby scattered.
Blake and his group were soaked and humiliated.
"Take the hose from her," Blake ordered.
Kyle and Kira rushed forward, but Zuri sprayed their feet, making them slip and fall awkwardly.
Blake, seeing his comrades fall and all the water now targeting him, couldn't stand it.
He tried several times to seize the hose, but it was futile.
"You crazy woman, stop!" Blake shouted.
Onlookers were stunned. Many rushed over to watch.
"Isn't that Blake?"
"I heard Blake was planning to prank someone. How did he end up getting pranked?"
"This is the first time I've seen Blake so embarrassed."
People watched Blake's misery with great interest, especially those who had been bullied by him before, feeling a sense of relief and excitement.
"Blake is really miserable!"
"This reminds me of the saying, 'Beat the drowning dog.'"
This comment made everyone burst into laughter.
"That was brilliant."
"Never thought Blake would meet his match. This guy bullies nerds all the time. Today he got what he deserved."
"He finally met his match."
"This new girl is something else."
Hearing the mocking around him, Blake felt humiliated, but more than that, he hated Zuri.
Today, she made him lose face and be ridiculed.
The grudge between them was now set in stone.
Zuri turned off the valve, finally giving them a break.
"Was it fun?" Zuri asked coldly.
"Fun? My ass." Blake cursed angrily.
Suddenly, the water gun turned on again.
Blake was knocked to the ground by the sudden burst of water, grimacing in pain.
"What are you doing?" Director Wang shouted, turning his gaze to Zuri. "Turn off the water."
Blake saw Director Wang, Deputy Director Yang, and others arrive, and immediately played the victim. "Director, you must stand up for me. You saw it yourself. People with such poor character shouldn't be allowed to stay at Windsor."
The term 'people with poor character' revealed Blake's deep disdain and discrimination against those from ordinary families.
Blake often bullied children from ordinary families, relying on his own status.
Director Wang looked at Zuri. "Why did you do this?"
Zuri pulled a snake out of her pocket and threw it at Blake.
Blake recoiled in fear.
"This snake, and that pool of ink at the entrance, is the reason," Zuri said simply but clearly.
An eye for an eye!
"That's slander! Do you have any evidence? Why would I target you without reason? You, on the other hand, act like a mad dog, biting people for no reason."
Blake continued to accuse, "Director, look at this person. Not only does she play the victim, but she also lies through her teeth. Such a person should be expelled from Windsor immediately."
Zuri didn't waste words with him. Instead, she walked over to Kyle.
As she approached, Kyle backed away in fear. "What are you doing?"
"Give me the thing," Zuri demanded, extending her hand.
"W-What thing?" Kyle looked bewildered.
"The thing in your pocket."
"What's in my pocket?" Kyle looked at her with an expression that said 'Are you crazy?'
"Stop pretending. There's no need," Zuri said calmly.
Pretending? No need?
Kyle was speechless.
Blake and his friends looked puzzled, and the onlookers were curious and confused.
Zuri stepped forward and pulled a plastic-wrapped recorder from Kyle's pocket.
Seeing the recorder, Kyle's face turned green.
Blake and his friends stared at him in anger.
Zuri pressed the play button, and Blake's voice was clearly heard from the recorder.
"Yang, let's get out of here quickly. I'm worried she'll complain. If Director Wang investigates, it'll be hard to explain."
"What are you afraid of? Does she have any evidence? Who would dare testify for her? Catching a thief requires catching him red-handed. It's not something she can prove with just a few words." Blake said smugly.
"Hahaha, then let's wait here for her. When she comes, we'll bite back and accuse her of slander." Kira laughed.
"She's probably bringing that dead snake to testify for her. Hahaha."
Their wild laughter echoed loudly from the recorder.
At this point, Zuri pressed the pause button.
Kyle, seeing Blake's sinister glare, trembled with fear. "No, it's not what you think. It's not like that."
"If it's not what we think, then what is it? Traitor!" Kira shouted angrily. "I told you during the water spraying incident, you reported it too late on purpose."
"No, it's not." Despite Kyle's denials, Blake and his friends didn't believe him.
