Chapter 37: Ashina
The city buzzed with anticipation as the news spread, the Dwarves would soon arrive to assist in completing their city. Vaelrith stood atop a high rock, surveying the cityscape. Though much progress had been made, there was still much to do. Buildings stood half-finished, and the walls, though sturdy, were yet to be reinforced to their full potential. The fortifications needed the skilled touch of the Dwarves, and Vaelrith hoped Selene's promise would soon be fulfilled.
As he gazed over his domain, Vaelrith's thoughts turned to the Overlord stone in his possession. This powerful artifact could only be given to one worthy leader, and Vaelrith had two strong candidates in mind: Oak, the Mystic Wolf he had named, and Ashina, the wolf leader he appointed and who has remained fiercely loyal to him.
