Chapter 1 - chapter 1

******************

Nashaya's life seemed to be perfect. From the outside, she portrayed the image of the ideal wife, fulfilling her marital duties with grace and poise. She had married Farid three months ago, a man everyone except her hated, she felt no one understood him better than she did.

Despite her wealth, Nashaya concealed her financial status, aware of Farid's fragile ego. She navigated the delicate balance between her own independence and his perceived dominance. Nashaya was always scared of bringing the things she had purchased home with her, she hated making her husband feel weak as he said to her two days ago, when she purchased a new gold ring.

In the beginning, their relationship held moments of tenderness, everything seemed rosy, they were tagged the perfect couple, everywhere they went, But behind the scenes of marital thier bliss lay a darker truth of Farid's manipulative and cunning nature.

Nashaya poured her heart into their union, all she wanted was a happy home, but Farid's strong web of control tightened with each passing day. Their home became a battleground, filled with constant disagreement .

Yet, Nashaya was hopeful, she kept believing in the transformative power of love. Until one fateful day when Farid's mask slipped, revealing the truth beneath.

It began with a simple disagreement, which led to something much more dangerous.

"Nashaya, why can't you understand?" Farid's voice was strained, his frustration in the tone of his voice.

"I'm trying, Farid. But you're not listening to me," Nashaya replied, her tone pleading.

Their voices echoed off the walls of their lavish home, the then luxurious home now tainted by the growing rift between them.

"You always think you know best, don't you? Just because you have money," Farid spat, his words laced with bitterness.

"It's not about money, Farid. It's about us, about our relationship," Nashaya countered, her voice trembling with emotion.

But Farid's temper was already boiling , his facade of control slipping away like sand through his clenched fists.

"You dare to question me? After everything I've done for you?" Farid's voice rose, his anger boiling over.

Nashaya flinched at the venom in his words, the realization dawning that she could no longer ignore the cracks in their facade of marital bliss.

As the argument grew stronger , so did Farid's temper. In a moment of blind rage, he raised his hand on Nashaya, shattering the illusion of their ideal marriage Natasha had once dreamed about. Farid looked stunned he laid back against the wall staring at his hands.

As Nashaya stepped back from the shock of his violence, she realized that the facade of the good wife could no longer hide the harsh reality of her situation. And so, with trembling hands and a heavy heart, she faced the bitter truth that her marriage was far from the fairytale she had once envisioned.

Weeks later, Nashaya found herself at Kokkie's Mall, meeting her friend Amira for brunch. She attempted to hide the bruise beneath her eye with makeup, but the faint discoloration from the fight still lingered through.

Amira's concerned gaze met Nashaya's as they settled into their seats at the quaint café.

"Nashaya, what happened? Are you okay?" Amira asked, her voice filled with worry.

Nashaya forced a smile, her hand immediately reaching to brush her hair over her bruised eye. "Oh, it's nothing, just a little accident. I... I fell down the stairs at home."

Amira's brow rose up in disbelief, but she chose not to press further, respecting Nashaya's apparent desire to downplay the situation. Throughout their brunch, Nashaya struggled to maintain her composure, the weight of Farid's actions weighed heavy upon her shoulders. She longed to confide in Amira, to unburden herself of the secret she carried, but the fear of judgment and shame kept her silent. As they parted ways outside the café, Amira's parting words lingered in Nashaya's mind like a haunting echo.

"Please, Nashaya, if you ever need to talk... I'm here for you." Nashaya nodded in agreement. "Where are you" it was a text from farid "
