Chapter Thirteen
Lionel's POV
We walked out of the bedroom with Larissa holding her black bag and we descended down the stairs. As we got to the living room, we bumped into my mother, and she inquired curiously, "Where are you guys heading to?"
"I told you, Mom, my wife and I are going out for dinner."
"Really? I thought you were joking about it," she said, her voice filled with perplexity, also evident in her face.
"No, Mom, I'm not. Don't worry, we will talk when we come back," I said and pecked her on her cheek, cutting the conversation. We walked out of the mansion and headed to the garage. On our way, Larissa inquired curiously, "Has your mother eaten?"
"Yes, she has," I answered.
"How are you so sure of that? We don't really have to go if it's not necessary, and I'm certain Raquel has prepared something," Larissa said.
"No, she didn't. I told her not to."
