Alex had a busy day at work, juggling meetings, reports, and decisions as the head of a major division at Knight Enterprises. By the afternoon, he felt exhausted, but the thought of meeting his friends later that evening brightened his mood. It had been a while since he last saw them, and he missed the easy banter and laughter they shared.
The bar they chose was a cozy spot with warm lighting and a relaxed atmosphere. As Alex walked in, he spotted his friends at a table near the back. Mike, Luke, and Dan were already there, chatting and laughing.
"Alex! You made it!" Mike greeted him, raising his glass.
"Hey, guys," Alex replied, smiling as he approached. He shook hands and exchanged pats on the back before taking a seat.
