Two hours later, in the Royal Palace's infirmary, a pristine white room situated on the first floor of the castle greeted the dawning sunlight through its large, open windows. The room was airy and spacious, with sunlight streaming in, casting a warm glow over the neat rows of beds where the four children lay unconscious.
Two nurses, dressed in crisp white uniforms, bustled about attending to their duties with quiet efficiency. Their footsteps echoed softly on the polished marble floors, adding to the serenity of the room. Two maids, clad in traditional attire adorned with the royal crest, hovered nearby, ready to assist with any task required.
Prince Gael, his expression a mix of concern and curiosity, stood beside the Archbishop near the foot of one of the beds.
"Archbishop, how much longer until they wake up?" Prince Gael inquired anxiously, his eyes scanning the still forms of the children.
"Any minute now. It's been exactly two hours," the Archbishop replied in a measured tone, his gaze fixed on the youngest of the children, Kee, who was beginning to stir.
As Kee slowly opened his eyes, the bright light filtering through the windows momentarily disoriented him. His gaze swept across the unfamiliar surroundings—the high ceiling adorned with intricate moldings, the large windows that allowed fresh air and sunlight to permeate the room, and the elegant furnishings that bespoke the opulence of the royal palace.
"Where is this place?" Kee's voice trembled with uncertainty, his eyes searching for answers.
"Your Highness, get away from there! That's not a summon, it's a heteromorphic monster! Guards!" the Archbishop's urgent voice interrupted, pointing accusingly at Kee.
"Heteromorphic? What's that? And why is that man waving a stick at me? Is he talking about me? What a rude man, pointing fingers and sticks. But it's true, I can feel things now. Wait, could I not before? Huh, but how did I get here?" Kee's thoughts raced as confusion clouded his mind.
'I'll leave that for later because right now...'
'...Oh look, all the guards are here, and they're pointing their weapons at me. So it really is me they're calling heteromorphic.'
"Hey! I'm a human! I have two eyes, one nose, two hands, and two feet!"
"Don't think you can fool us humans so easily. It's clear from my eyes that you're no human."
'Well, I guess he isn't wrong. Even I don't know what I am or who…'
'Race detected: humanoid.'
'Is that even a real race?' came a sudden memory.
"Look, I'm a humanoid, not a heteromorph."
"Hah, same difference. You will become God's enemy! Guards, kill him!"
I guess the only way to live is to run. My disguise came off, so my class…? won't even recognize me? Wait, what classmates? Have I gone crazy? And it's probably due to my eyes that they think I'm not human?
And it's kind of true; I've lived longer than a century, I think? After all, nobody would think I'm human in a different world? Wait, a different world? If I had one golden and one blood-red eye with reptilian/dragon-like pupils, and platinum-white hair, a face between cute and handsome, exactly 146 cm tall... It's useless to rely on anyone.
And I don't need to kill/kidnap Raymond anymore. Wait, kill? Why did I want to kill that man in the first place? Where am I? Who am I?
'Kee.'
I remember being called that, but how did I even get into this situation? My head is a mess.
Alright, priorities are safety first. There are four guards, averagely trained, with spears about 7 meters away. There's a window 3 meters behind them, and judging from the height, of the trees it's about 10 meters from the ground. I guess it's time to escape.
'Incoming attack'
"Die devious devil!!!"
'Yes I'm not human but I'm not a devil either'
I started running yet without doing anything special i felt like i knew exactly what they were going to do as if i could see the future based on their movements and ran jumping right through the middle of two horizontal spear sweeps with my face in front of my knees and parallel to the ground sliding after landing on the smooth marble floor twisting my body while performing a perfect split and tripping both guards then restarting the run and jumping out the window and landing perfectly with my enhanced body and immediately hiding while tearing the edge of the cloth to stop the bleeding from the glass on feet by making impromptu cloth shoes in 10 seconds flat.
