"So... What do we do now" Randy asked expectantly
"Now, we wait" Xander answered, one of his hand holding the stirring as he sighed and await Randy outburst. Surprisingly, no one came.
He turned to her to see she was staring out the window.
They were in Xander's Ferrari 250 GTO. Xander had informed Randy of the next step of the plan, a date. It wasn't going to be like every other date couples go on.
Hunter did some digging and got hold of Hermia scheduled date, place and time with Mike.
So here they were, waiting for when the almost married couples would enter.
They didn't have to wait long. Their car was parked opposite First Class Cusine so they can watch who went in and out.
Hermia soon walked into the restaurant. They waited until Mike got in, which wasn't long after before going in.
The place spoke expensive, causing Xander to almost cower but with Randy at his side he didn't. She had an habit to adapt faster than normal despite her background. This made him know that he knew nothing about her.
"Let seat here" she said to her date.
Their table was on the other side of the room from Hermia's but they were still in her line of sight.
They picked up and examine the meun. When Xander was sure of what to order even though the name of food were a it complicated for him, he closed the meun.
At that moment, Hermia's eyes surveyed the room and they caught Xander's. He acted not to notice her as her eyes widened in surprise and turned his attention Randy acting all charmed.
"What did you pick" Xander asked Randy but before could answer a waiter came to their aid.
"I'm Alex, I would be your waiter this night" the waiter greeted. "What would you like to order?"
"White Australian Loster Noodles" Randy said. She sounded like those spoilt rich Asians.
'She would do well in the acting industry' Xander thought to himself.
"What about you, sir?" Alex asked, bringing him out of this thought. He noticed the young waiter was the same age with his brother, if not a year younger.
"Wok fried diced beef" Xander replied
"And wine for both of us" She added
"I would back with them in a few minutes" the waiter said and left.
"Alex, same name as yours" Randy teased, causing Xander to playfully roll his eyes. "Why didn't you go by Alex?" Xander thought for a while and shook his head.
"I don't know why I always went by Xander instead on Alex" he answered slipping into his thoughts again.
"You always went by it or you can't remember" Randy asked further. The young waiter came with their order and quietly left seeing that their discussion was becoming serious.
"I don't remember a lot of things, like my days at the orphanage" Xander said thoughtfully, he watch the seconds hand on his wrist watch move like an heartbeat.
"Wow, you grew up in orphanage and you don't remember? That means you don't remember you childhood" Randy said with excitement but noticed how sad her words were. Xander simply nodded, not sure how to respond.
He doesn't remember his life before he was sixteen. What he knew was what he was told; the orphanage caught fire and he was the only survivor.
"Stop! The atmosphere is becoming sad, we not here for sad stories, remember why we are here, we are here to spite your cunning ex wife." Randy said and Xander chuckled at her and they started eating.
"What about you where did you grow up?" Xander asked with his attention on his meal.
"I grew up here in Singapore despite being Mexican" Randy answered automatically as if she had said this many times.
"I was asking the name of your hometown, I didn't run a background check on you because I wanted to know you as a friend"
Randy movement in her plate halted and she looked at Xander.
"If we talk about me it would lead to another sad story" she said and he nodded in understanding.
"Sorry" Xander said and sipped the red wine which had been placed with his meal.
"No problem, is she staring?" Randy asked and the new chairman quickly knew she was referring to Hermia. He subtly stared her direction while taking another sip of his wine.
She was staring.
No, glaring at their direction before she turned to Mike when called her.
He blinked his eyes twice at Randy, a signal to say yes.
"I'm going to the restroom" she said as she emptied her glass and plate.
Hermia also excused herself from Mike and went in the direction as Randy.
He took the opportunity to brew up something.
He walked Mike and tapped him at the shoulder.
"Hey, Mr. Cage, I didn't know you were here" Mike said surprised and Xander smiled and sat across him.
"I also didn't, it looks like you are here with someone" Xander asked meticulously
"Yeah, I'm on a date with my fiance, she loves this high class treatment" Mike said and smiled warmly. Xander wondered if he was actually in love with her.
"Oh, here she comes" Mike said, uprooting Xander from his thoughts. "This is my fiancé, Hermia"
Hermia eyes widened for a moment like a deer in headlights but she smiled
"Oh, Hermia how are you since we saw the last time" Xander asked formally, keeping his smile on.
"I have been good" Xander said.
Just then, Randy came out of the restroom and saw their table empty. Xander saw her confusion her signaled her to join them.
"This is my girlfriend, Randy" Xander introduce. The two ladies stood behind their respective men as they talked.
"Pfft, Randy, weird name" Hermia said and crossed her arm over her chest.
"Hermia" Mike called sternly, for a moment his smile disappeared but it was back when he greet Randy.
"Actually, it is Miranda but like it As Randy" Randy said.
"Randy, this is Mike fiance I told you about" Xander said
"The fiance?" Randy said, pretending to think for a moment. "Oh, the fiance" she said as she remembered and chuckled
"Yes, the fiance" Xander said and chuckled with her. He can't imagine what is going on Hermia's head. This caused him to laugh the more.
"Am I missing something?" Mike asked confused.
"No, it's just an inside joke" Randy said gaining composure of herself but the smile still on her lips.
"Oh, you both understand yourself and can even get married" Mike said and he felt Hermia place her on his shoulder.
"Maybe" Xander said and looked at Hermia to gaige her reaction. It was like her blood was boiling as she stared at Randy. Randy caught up and decided to fuel her anger.
"Really? You would marry me?" Randy said lowering herself to Xander and rubbed her body on him.
"I only said maybe"
"It can still be yes"
"Mike, this is all your fault" Xander said playfully and the said person raised his hands to surrender but a chuckle escape him.
"I and my girlfriend would take our leave" Xander said and stood from the chair. He wrapped his hand around Randy waist and she leaned into him.
"Don't forget the wedding" Mike said and shook hands with Xander
"I wouldn't, not when you are marrying a beautiful wife" he said and winked Hermia before leaving.
