"Shut your pie hole," Benjamin hissed, his voice harsh and unyielding. "Stay put." He pressed the cigar deeper into Tommy's skin, the heat searing through the scar and into the flesh beneath.
Tommy held back a cry as the pain blurred his thoughts into a jumbled mess. He wanted to scream, to beg Benjamin to stop, but the words wouldn't come at all.
All he could manage were gasps and choked sobs as he tried to endure the burning sensation. His hands clenched into fists, nails digging into his palms as he tried to focus on anything other than the pain.
Though, this was nothing compared to the pain of being a black! How dare he protest against this mini pain from a white?!
Finally, after what felt like an eternity for Tommy, Benjamin pulled the cigar away.
The burn throbbed angrily on Tommy's neck, the pain radiating out in waves. He slumped forward, his body trembling on Benjamin's shoulder, trying to catch his breath.
