Cedric closed the book with a satisfied nod.
"Well, that's all for now on Jim Collehagan. We're wrapping up this week's history lesson. Next week, we'll be movin' on to the intro courses of the school," he remarked, glancing up at Tommy.
Cedric couldn't help but hide a smile, pleased that Tommy had been surprisingly attentive over the past few days.
Tommy let out a small sigh of relief.
"Thank goodness, I was starting to get really bored with that," he muttered under his breath, aware that Cedric had caught his words.
Cedric shook his head, "You seem a bit wound up, Tommy. Everything okay? Want to share what's been on your mind?" he asked casually, leaning back in his chair.
Tommy hesitated for a moment, considering how much to reveal. "Yeah, kinda," he admitted, running a hand through his hair. "Just... stuff's goin' down, man. You feel me?"
