"Tell me you're cheesing, fam. You're still stuck on me, aren't ya?"
Cedric's jaw tightened, his lips pressing into a thin line. He wanted to say something, anything, but the words got stuck in his throat. Benjamin's taunts hit too close to home.
He swallowed hard, avoiding Benjamin's gaze. His mind was damn racing with thoughts he didn't want to admit.
Benjamin laughed, a low, mocking sound. "Figured as much," he said softly, his voice dripping with a mix of amusement and arrogance. "Oh, poor Cedric, still got a crush on me? How quaint."
Cedric's fists clenched at his sides. "You think this is all some big joke?" he growled, taking a step closer. He was getting pissed. "You think you can just… just play with people's lives like… this? Like they're nothing but a game?"
