"Alright, now that our sleeping dilemma is solved, I think you should go find out some information from the reception, don't you think?" Friz said to Hob.
"Yeah, I think so too. You stay in here to avoid trouble, I'll be back soon." replied Hob.
And with that, Hob got out of the room and went back down to the reception, finding the robust man dozing off. Hob went to the table and rang the bell, which startled the man.
"You could've just called me out. " the man said, still a little sleepy.
"Oh, I'll do that next time. Sorry about it. By the way, do we get a list of things we can request for our hunt, as well as how many we can choose?" Hob asked probingly.
"You seem like a smart lad. Though you look young, you've got some brains. Yes, we do provide a list of such things, but only if you ask. Certain items may not be mentioned on the list; it only contains the common items," the man nodded in affirmation.
"Well then, give me the list as well as all the things I can take without specially mentioning them," Hob said with a smile.
"Very well, here you go," the man said as he pulled out a booklet, map, rope, backpack, first-aid kit, and a list.
"Thank you very much, sir. May I also ask which places we are allowed to go to during this period of time?" Hob asked again.
"You can go to any place on the first and ground floor, but not to the floors 2 and above. You can access the training facility next door, though most of it will be inaccessible to you. There are a few areas you can access for now," the man said.
"Thank you for entertaining my questions, sir. I'll leave for now," Hob said respectfully to the man.
"I was in your shoes once too, so it feels good to help out in things I am allowed to. Don't sweat it; just make sure to survive. You have some talent," the man said proudly.
"I have no intentions of dying, don't you worry, sir," Hob said and went back up with the things he got from the man.
As soon as he entered the room, he found Friz opening her braid and letting her hair fall down. She had changed into a t-shirt and pajama instead of the light armor she was wearing when he left. Friz noticed Hob and asked while looking at the bag in his hands, "So, what did you get from the reception?"
"Well, there's a rope, first-aid kit, map, booklet, the backpack I'm carrying, as well as the list of things we can ask for and how many of them we can request," said Hob proudly.
"Well, that's a lot of things considering you were gone for just 10-15 minutes. Let's check out the booklet; the rest should be the standard issue, and we can check it out later on," said Friz.
"The booklet it is then," Hob nodded and took out the booklet from the backpack, placing the backpack on the small table beside the bed.
He sat down beside Friz and opened the booklet. What he saw made his eyes glisten. "This is a jackpot! With this, the hunt should be far less deadly," Hob said excitedly.
"Indeed, a booklet containing the names and details of monsters around the outpost can help us make a plan centered around hunting a specific kind of monster," Friz also said, sharing Hob's excitement.
"We'll read it whenever we have time. Can't complain about too much information, can we?" Hob said, containing his excitement.
"Alright, we'll do as you say. You're the boss here, after all," Friz said teasingly.
"Stop teasing me. We still have preparations to do. I just found out that we can visit the training facility next door. Although we can't access all parts, we should still check it out later," Hob said to Friz.
"A training center indeed sounds interesting. Let's visit it together tomorrow," Friz nodded.
"Also, let's check out this list and select what things we're going to request for the hunt. But we should be careful in what we ask for, as it'll be crucial to the hunt. First, you should make a list of things you want from the list. We'll see which ones should be taken based on our plan for the hunt," Hob said, smiling.
"Alright, it's almost night time. We'll do it tomorrow. For now, let's go to sleep," Friz said, looking at Hob.
"Alright, let's go to sleep then. At least the bed is big enough for two people to sleep on, and they provided two sheets too. How thoughtful of them," Hob said, shaking his head.
And then both Hob and Friz laughed together and went to bed in their separate sheets after saying good night.
