24.5 million people died in the attack on Moscow. The UC had 24 million casualties. The AE made up the rest of the half a million people. The AE had many citizens in the city for various reasons. Victor's support from the AE population dropped significantly but he had already been elected. Many protestors stood outside the Capital Building. They were calling for the impeachment of the president trying to pressure Congress. Police equipped with nanoplate armor lined the perimeter of the building preventing anyone from entering.
Inside, members of Congress were yelling at each other from every side of the room. They were not informed about how brutal their attack would be. Civilian casualties were expected but they killed practically every civilian. They lost a ParaCarrier worth over 50 trillion dollars when adding all the other equipment and hundreds of thousands of highly trained soldiers. About a hundred thousand AE civilians died from the attack. They failed in every aspect.
The chaotic room quickly turned silent when Victor suddenly teleported in. He sat in his chair looking down on the rest of Congress. "President Victor, we demand an explanation for this utter failure! We were told that only important military targets and infrastructure would be the targets of this attack. We expected you to blow up a few buildings for what the RCA did to Israel. But this...this was a massacre. We killed almost 25 million people just to send a fucking message. What did we get in return for that? Nothing! We lost one of three pillars of our military complex and hundreds of thousands of American Empire civilians." A member of Congress said breaking the palpable silence.
Victor looked down from his seat. "I don't have to explain anything to you. I know what's best for this country and you only have to follow what I say. We still won this battle despite our losses. Human lives are a much more valuable resource than money. We have carved our name into every RCA citizen's heart. Oh, wait. It's the United Coalition now. We have made every UC citizen aware of what will happen if you attack the American Empire. We will rebuild everything we lost while they will mourn. I am now the Supreme Leader of the American Empire. I do not lose my position unless I step down. I will not step down until every UC is destroyed. Those who support me say "I"."
"I" echoed around the room. Only a fifth of the people there didn't say I. Victor stood up with his chest out. "Supreme Leader Victor Stone welcomes all of you to our glorious American Empire. You guys know what to do with the rest." Victor gave a big smile and teleported out. Every member that didn't say "I" was forcibly taken to jail for treason. Any resistance was met with lethal force. A couple of bodies littered the floor as an example to the rest of the remaining dissenters.
-South Carolina, Charleston, AE, 2040-
Massive ParaCarriers were attacking each other. The AE had two carriers defending against three UC carriers. The AE psionic shields were quickly falling. The concentrated EMP blasts and shield disruptors still devasted the AE shields. Below, the ports were assaulted by quantum AI submarines disabling any reinforcements that could assist the carriers. The UC ParaJets and ParaTanks proved to be superior to the AE's. Millions of bodies littered the streets. Every major battle cost millions of lives. Moscow still has the largest amount of lives lost from a single attack but over two hundred million people have died from this war so far.
After Moscow, the UC military budget quickly caught up to the AE's. The UC military budget eventually was 1.5 times larger than the AE's at its peak. The AE was dominated in every economical way. Victor's failed leadership led to distractions, slowing down much of the country's research and development programs. He ordered assaults on major population centers throughout all of the UC. France, Poland, and all the Balkans became massive graveyards. The UC retaliated by destroying California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. They used a space laser known as the Helios Beam. It harvested solar energy from the sun enhanced by awakened energy manipulators. The Helios Beam fired a laser 10 km wide beam that could quickly move from target to target. About 85 million AE citizens died from the Helios Beam which struck fear into every AE citizen.
The American Empire was quickly falling apart. A month after the attack on Charleston, six ParaCarriers surrounded Washington D.C. "Victor Stone and the American Empire. This is your last chance to surrender or face utter destruction. Too many lives have already been lost from this war. End it now. Surrender." Elena's voice rang throughout the skies of Washington. White flags could be seen hanging from most of the houses and buildings in the capital. All defensive weapons were powered down.
Victor Stone was in his office destroying everything. The once luxurious room was now a burnt mess. "That bitch wants me to surrender. ME. She knows I can fuck her up any day of the week! I fucking kill her!" He screamed. "Shut up. You have no right to say anything. You either go out there yourself or we will make you." Tens of powerful AE awakened stood around Victor full of hate. "You have dragged us to hell. We begged you to stop but you wouldn't listen. We couldn't tell you anything. You have destroyed the American Empire and everything it stood for. You will only be remembered for death. Go out there and join everyone you've killed." Victor tried to fight the group but was quickly overpowered. He was tied up and gagged to be delivered to the UC forces waiting outside.
Elena and Liang stood above a bloodied Victor. "Sit up. Now!" Demanded Elena. As he raised his head Elena drove her fist into his nose. "Argh!" Victor screamed as he held his nose. "This is nothing to the pain you have caused the whole World. With your death, a new era of peace will begin." Elena raised her hand and rapidly aged Victor until he was nothing but bones and dust. As the remains of Victor blew away silence fell over everyone.
Elena's head fell off her shoulders rolling onto the ground in front of her spraying blood all over the surrounding UC members. Liang Zhao cleaned his hands off as he approached Elena and Victor's bodies. "Yes. Peace will finally be restored to the world. Glory to the Russo-Chi Allaince!" Liang shouted from the top of his lungs. Half of the surrounding UC members cheered and began attacking the other half. Four ParaCarriers started bombarding the remaining two carriers. Liang had control of over half the UC ParaCarrier fleet and was waiting for this exact moment. "Everything is going exactly how I planned. I have led the RCA into unforetold glory!" Liang's dreams of conquering the world were almost completely true.

Elena could be seen anxiously looking at a large projection in the middle of her desk. She saw what Liang had done in a quantum insight but she didn't want to believe it. Liang and her have been working very well together. They not only advanced military research together but also agricultural research. She believed her dreams of world peace would come true with the AE gone. Her abilities gave her a dose of reality she didn't want to accept. "The body double worked. With the portable temporal ParaTech, it was easy to convince Liang that was me. The loss of two Paracarriers is devastating but we still have ways to defend ourselves. Our quantum surveillance is still connected to the RCA servers. Do everything in our power to cripple whatever you can." Elena ordered a member who was waiting for her orders.

Fifteen years after the betrayal of the RCA, it was hard to find many cities left unscathed. The total death toll of this 30-year war had reached half a billion people. The world population had dropped by over five prevent. This was the most violent war ever fought in recorded human history. Elena Hayes and Liang Zhao were both killed by assassinations. The fighting only escalated when they died. They became martyrs for the bloodthirsty members of the RCA and EU governments. Elemental nukes had been developed and used serval times. Leaving massive radiated spots of Earth uninhabitable. Not a single person in the world was unaffected by the Awakening War.
Two ParaCarriers could be seen crashing down on the once-beautiful Swedish landscape. These were the last carriers from each side. Both sides agreed to destroy their final carriers. The Helios Beam self-destructed. Every weapon that cost hundreds of millions of lives was disposed of. For thirty years they had been killing each other non-stop. People born during the time of war didn't know what peace looked like. They didn't believe this war would ever stop.
Cheers roared from all over the world. The RCA and EU agreed to finally stop all aggression. They both disbanded and the United Earth Federation was created. This was the first world government that Earth has ever had. What will come from this peace? Are humans finally free from all this conflict? Is there a main character?
