Chapter 1 - Prologue

As Itsuki walked through the hall of Peterson's high, everyone couldn't help but look at him for he was a tall, silver-haired 18-year-old boy with a handsome smile that emulated his green eyes. Wearing the school's prestige school uniform, he went straight to the Headmaster's office where a tall older man with dyed black hair was waiting to be typing on his laptop.

"Yes?"

"Goo…good morning sir. I am Itsuki Yamaguchi the new transfer student." He nervously handed the papers to him.

"Oh! The new transfer student," the Headmaster finally looked up from his work and flashed him a smile. "Set the documents here. Itsuki Yamaguchi am I right?"

"Yes sir."

He picked up the documents and looked at it. "It says here that you are 18 am I right?"

"Yes sir,"

The headmaster looked at the picture stapled to the document and looked back at the nervous 18 year old and smiled back.

Itsuki watched as the Headmaster finished typing in his information and the printer next to his laptop roared to life startling the 18 year old. He handed him the fresh printed paper which contained his homeroom and the teacher in charge.

"Let's see. It says here that my homeroom is on the first floor." He whispered while walking down the stairs to the ground floor. "Oh! They even have a science club!"

"Excuse me are you Itsuki Yamaguchi?" a voice asked.

Itsuki looked behind him to see another student wearing a white uniform adorned with the crest of the school's coat of arms and stylish glasses. He had long black hair and sharp silver eyes as he stared back at him with an intense glare. Behind him was a red-haired girl with red eyes which emulated her red lipstick.

"Ye…yes," Itsuki replied.

"Good. My name is Magic Alexander and I am the president of the student council." He said stretching out his hand for a handshake. "Welcome to our school."

'He seems friendly enough,' Itsuki thought before shaking his hand. "Thank you."

"This is Katsumi Nakayama. She is the Vice President and confidant." Magic moved away so Itsuki could shake the hand of the female student.

"Welcome to our school. I hope you don't have a taste for tormenting the weak." She said firmly shaking his hand. "I don't tolerate that here."

Her firm words and bluntness sent a chill up Itsuki's spine because it scared him so he smiled nervously. "N…no. I don't do that ma'am. One of the main reasons why I transferred is because of the bullying."

Katsumi took a closer look at him and frowned. "You don't look like someone who was bullied."

Itsuki shrugged nervously.

"Have you met the Guidance Counsellor yet?" She asked as students walked passed them.

"Well…"

Then the hall went silent with students whispering amongst themselves. Soon a tall well endowed, girl with long black hair, brown eyes, and pale skin emerged down the hall. The tired look on her face made it clear that she was not in the look to talk to anyone and her quick footsteps indicated that she was avoiding someone.

Itsuki and the rest watched as she opened the door to Class 1-1 walked in and slammed the door shut making them flinch in shock.

"Emma! Wait for me! I have little legs!" another voice piped up with a pant. A short girl with coffee brown hair tied up in pigtails with red ribbons came into view. She stopped at the class, took a peek through the window, and tapped on it. "Emma!"

She sighed and thumped her forehead on the glass pane with a groan. "Aweee…"

"Bothering Emma again?" Magic asked with a stern voice.

"Yes. She didn't want to walk with me to school today."

"So you were bothering her," Magic stated.

The tone of his voice made the girl jump in panic when she saw them.

"You do know what you are doing is a form of bullying right?" Katsumi stated narrowing her eyes at the girl. "Do you want me to report you?"

"What? No, no, no! I just wanted to walk to school with her. That's all!" she said in a panic.

"That's harassment." Katsumi pointed out.

"No! No, it's not! It's not!" then her big brown eyes fell on the new student who was staring at her. "Umm…who is he?"

"A new student," Magic replied.

Upon hearing this, the girl's eyes sparkled and she whipped out a mini microphone attached to a tape-recorder.

"Hi! I'm Bae Tatsumania the president of the Journalism Club. Tell me are you a new student? If you are, where did you come from? What's your name? Are you a transfer student? If so, which school did you transfer from? What made you come to this school? Are you interested in joining the Journalism Club?"

"No Bae. He is not interested in joining the club so stop bothering him!" Katsumi snapped.

"Aweee but we need more members!" she whined.

"You do know that club doesn't exist. We didn't approve of it?" Magic said.

Bae gave a pout and then smiled at Itsuki. "Well if you are interested in joining the club, you can meet me at the school's cafeteria or the Journalism Club okay? Bae Tatsumania, away!"

With that, the girl sprinted down the hall leaving the rest behind in a cloud of dust. With a sigh, Magic turned to Itsuki who nervously scratched the back of his head.

"Well…that was awkward," he said.

Magic rolled his eyes. "It's okay. All you need to do is join a club and then she will leave you alone."

Itsuki chuckled and looked at the papers in his hand. "The student council looks promising."

For the next few months, Itsuki worked to establish himself as a candidate for the student council. He excelled in his studies, did well in sports, and assisted every member of the student council with their activities. This generated some rumors amongst his classmates who called him many names but it was worth it when he joined the student council as the 'Treasurer,' at the end of the school year and his picture was framed as one of the best academically gifted students.

Once again, Peterson High proved to be one of the best schools in the whole of Japan.
