She was squinting hard at them.
"Come on do it with me."
She tugged at Park while looking at the confused people in the room.
"My eyes hurt."
"Ok understandable."
"Gretsa?"
"Gretsa?"
"Gretsa?"
She waved her left hand but felt nothing.
"If you're looking for the orc she went that way."
One of the men pointed down a hallway.
The light doors were still moving back and forth.
"You people suck sometimes. I hope you know that."
She kept the doors steady and opened them.
"Get in and be treated or whatever."
"Ella there you are!!"
"Not now Anu."
She wrapped her hand around his mouth. Anu looked beyond her and saw Park.
His eyes asked for an answer but all he could get were raised shoulders in return.
Park disappeared through the crack in the wall and popped back donning a doctor's costume.
"Kinda looks baggy."
Gretsa was back.
"Where were you?"
"Dunno Pooping?"
"Wanna ask why?"
Park fell mute.
"Yeah, that's what I thought."
"You'll find me in there."
"Well then what are you waiting here for?"
"Not a rude orc I guess."
Park was slightly getting ticked off...
"You're surely asking for another beating."
"Bye!!"
...but he wasn't ready for another throwdown special.
Park disappeared behind the doors.
Gretsa disappeared into the crack.
"ARRGHH THAT PUNK."
"Now all the supplies are wasted!"
But you shouldn't have fought in there.
"I suddenly feel really angry."
...
Park moved into the first ward. A strong metallic scent hit him and since his senses were now in overdrive. He got double the fun.
He felt a tight grasp on his leg.
The situation was bad. The beds could not accommodate the flood of new patients. Some of them lay on the floor.
"You're a doctor, right?"
"Please help me it hurts so bad."
Mangled hands tightly grasped his foot hoping for a miracle to happen.
"I should tend to these ones first."
Ella burst into the room.
"Oh, Parkie you're here?"
"Aaw, someone's already working hard on their first day."
"No wait please don't go."
"Ella wait..."
"All good here let me look at the rest."
Ella closed the doors on him.
"Don't goooo."
"Is he in there?"
"Yup."
"Hehe...Good luck to him."
"Curse you, Gretsa."
"Suddenly I really feel like punching him." Gretsa mumbled.
Park heard it and clumped his hands over his mouth.
He sighed.
"Guess I'm in charge now."
Heeeeaallll
Oh, look who's back.
"Anyway, I'll talk to you later."
"Ah..."
"...they gave us a mad one."
"No wait I wasn't talking to you guys."
The whole ward groaned.
"I never knew I'll die so young."
"It's not you I was talking..."
Park realized why they called him mad.
The door flew open.
"One more thing. Don't talk to ink. You'll freak out the other patients."
"YES, THANK YOU VERY MUCH ELLAAA!!"
"Someone's Peachy."
The door closed on him.
"Wait! Ella!"
"Ella!"
Park reached for the door handles and tried to open the door.
It didn't budge.
Park could see through the window.
Ella pocketing the keys in her bosom.
He tried to call for her but was muffled out by the groans in the room with him.
The door rattled as Park vigorously shook it trying to get Ella's attention.
Ella hummed a tune as she walked away.
"Until you heal them, Ok Parkie?"
"And I know you can hear me. Make me proud."
He sighed.
He turned around.
"Ok who wants to go first."
The grip on his leg strengthened.
"..."
"And we have a winner."
He absently laid his hands on the man lying on the ground. A red glow spread throughout the whole room.
His bones mended themselves together. He was renewed.
{New sector has gained more knowledge]
"One down."
"69 more to go."
{Ink is licking its lips]
"Should I stop?"
"Heal us too."
Can't stop now.
{Ink is laughing at the user]
"Let's just get this over with."
"You're healed."
-shine
"You're healed."
-shine
"You're healed."
-shine
...
...
...
...
Silence.
"THANK YOU, DOCTOR PARK!!!"
"NOO WAIT..."
-boom
The door flew off its hinges. A patient cartwheeled out of the room.
"I'M FREE. FREEEEEE!!!!"
There was rushed footsteps. Ella and Gretsa ran into his room.
All the patients were gone.
Park was standing in the middle of the room innocently looking at them.
"I can explain."
"Wait, can I?"
Wait, can you?
"Is that you ink?"
...
"Talk about a first time."
"Not now Gretsa."
"What happened here?"
More like who.
{Ink relishes in the unfolding scenario]
"More like who?"
"Ink?"
"Who's ink?"
-boom
Safe Park. Safeee!!
"Wait that direction is..."
"My room."
Gretsa dashed out the door and into her ward.
The door was gone and some of the patients were missing while others were slightly buried under debris.
"Wait then what about my room?"
Ella was off to check the situation at her ward. Park wanted to follow; he was almost out of the room.
"Nuh-uh you ain't going anywhere chump."
Park was off the floor held by the back collar of his coat.
"You'll find some other time to kiss. You'll need to help me fix this mess."
He was let down.
They got to work lifting the rubble off of the other patients.
"Seriously what did you use?"
"I... just healed them?"
"That's got to be some next level technique."
{Holy energy stored has bottomed out]
{Processing of eye defect has been halted]
"I see the blood's gone."
"You got something weird about you."
"Haha...I wonder what that could be."
The moment Park rose up. Gretsa was in his face flaring her nostrils around him. She was really close.
"My patients are..."
"Oooohhhh am I interrupting something here?"
"Don't be silly Ella."
-boom
Park was plastered on the wall.
"Youu...coul...d have just said...nooo"
"Yeah."
"But punching is more fun."
"Anyway, my ward's clean."
"Door's been ripped clean off."
They all advanced towards the reception.
"Where could they have actually gone too."
"What are you guys talking about?"
Anu was at the entrance of the hospital.
"Some crazy patients around here."
"Crazy?"
"Yup."
"Yup."
Ella and Gretsa were looking at Park. He silently shrunk inside his coat.
"But it seems like a you problem..."
-bang
It was coming from the morgue. One could know those steel doors.
"Hehe...looks like it's now a we problem."
Now he was the butt of the joke.
Anu dashed like a mad dog. He burst through the doors.
...
"PAAAAAARRRKKKK"
"Say your last prayers buddy."
"That guy's crazy about his job."
"Not helping Gretsa."
"Mind telling me what happened here Park?"
Anu was behind him.
He couldn't even sense him.
"I ond't nkow."
"You did something to them."
"And you're still lying to me."
"Ok I only healed them. That's all."
"Thats got to be some next level technique."
"That's what I said."
"Did you also bust the door."
The door got loose from the last of its hinges and fell.
"That was actually Gr..."
Anu dodged.
"Not again."
-boom
The door accessing the doorway was gone.
"ouy ees..."
Gretsa fell mute.
Park popped out panting.
"We'll just ask around to see where they went."
"We'll start with the library since they are our immediate neighbors."
"Kid didn't you say you healed the librarian..."
Park was already on his feet.
"No no no no no"
"Guess we're going to."
Ella and Anu looked at Gretsa.
"Just checking. Sheesh."
And they were off.
The hospital fell silent.
"Let's see how good the improved ones are."
-whoosh
They were now before the doors of the library.
The space inside the library wobbled.
"They are not even trying to hide it."
Gretsa was eyeing the rippling space within.
"I'll go in first."
Anu hopped into the illusion.
"I think I'll sit this one out."
Gretsa fell back.
"I'll keep watch while you're gone."
Ella was almost in.
"Be safe Ella."
"I will Gretty."
She disappeared.
"Upsy Daisy."
Park was off the floor.
"Off you go."
He was thrown towards into the portal.
Then he heard it.
"Don't kill "Ella"."
She knew?
Park was swallowed by the portal.
