The whole field was full of black blood.
Then the popping began.
The many corpses littered at his feet slowly started to balloon and burst in a sickening fashion. You could hear the splatter, the crunch and so much more in their finest details.
Then the ooze started to violently make its way into him through his mouth. Dark veins bulged out. All of the ooze was gone. Park was just there twitching in the dark. Standing in an unnatural pose.
It was all quiet now.
Then small crystals started to slowly push out from his skin, they grew into a shell that fully encased Park.
Now what remained was a dark crystal on the field.

"Park don't lose this!"
Beads of sweat formed on Park's face as he took a step back, he focused his sights on the keeper and back to the ball before him.
[Corruption is now 56%]
Park took off and kicked the ball with all his might and watched it soar towards the keeper, past a gap and safely landing into the net.
Screams of joy rang out across the whole field.
Park was hoisted upwards and as he took a glance at his reflection, on the trophy's surface that he happily held....
He saw a young boy's face.
And shrugged it off.
He didn't even realize anything was wrong.
Was there anything wrong to begin with?
He was so happy.

And that was all that mattered to him.
So many happy faces surrounded him. They all welcomed with warm smiles and laughed with him.
They all chanted in unison, "Park! Park! Park! Park!"
"Want to play again, Park?" They asked.
"That would actually be nice," he said.
[Corruption is at 90%]
[The corruption is almost complete]
[A threshold has been reached]

[Eye of the Abyss has independently awakened]
"What? What's happening?" asked Park as he dashed his eyes around this conjured dream-like scenery.

Until he saw it...
Right where the sun was, there was affixed, a white eye with a small black square as its iris. Out from it came a black thick liquid. It poured over the grassland and formed a dark river.
[Eye of the Abyss is actively locating the crux of the dream realm]
"No no no no What's going on?" Park asked with increased nervousness.

The black square moved rapidly from corner to corner, scoping the entire area.
[An unknown force is fighting back]
"What's wrong Park? Come let's play," his friends said.

"What's wrong honey? your friends are calling you."
[99%]
[Eye of the Abyss has found the crux and is beginning decomposition]
[The rival force has been extinguished]
With this, everything froze and turned grey.
It was all so silent.
Small cracks suddenly formed all around him, out of it poured a red glow and without warning the scene before him broke like glass.
Where their transfixed smiles were, all melted away into bony, toothy grins.
"No no no no please don't take this away from me!!" Park earnestly begged the eye as he started dashing towards her.
"Parrrrrrrrrrrkkkkkk plllllaaaayyyy wiiitthhhh uuuuusssss." they hissed at him.
Small bony nails dug into his young flesh. They had already caught up to him. They jumped on him burying him in a heap.
He didn't want to believe it.
He didn't want to let go.
She was just within reach.
He had just heard her.
Through the tiny cracks of the exposed ribs, he could see her.
Her skull smiled as it crumbled to dust.
She was gone.
He was shattered.
[Corruption has been stalled]
It was now him and this monstrosity floating in the sky.
Without making a sound. He rose.
He started following the black river.
It was a strange sight.
A Red sky stretched out into the horizon and littered with black clouds.
And a desert full of white dust.
He didn't know how much time had passed. Then he saw it. At a distance. There was a black pool.
When he finally approached the pool. The surface started trembling.
A door.
Rose from the liquid, bathed in black.
He was drawn to it. Park stepped into the dark pool.
Immediately he did, the door transformed.
A featureless creature stood before him.
It bore fangs at him revealing its gaping maw.
It all happened in a flash.
Park was swallowed.

There was silence at first....
