The manhole cover flew into the air with a resounding clang, and from the darkness below emerged the mighty No. 1 Hero, All Might!
He wasn't clad in his iconic hero uniform. Instead, All Might came up from the manhole in his civilian clothes, but... his formidable presence was unmistakable despite his casual attire.
Both Izuku and the sludge-villain gaped at the sudden appearance of the legendary hero.
"Damn it!" The sludge-villain's grotesque eyes widened in panic, cursing its ill fortune.
It had planned to hijack the high school boy's body in order to hide and escape from the No. 1 Hero, but it was already too late as the hero himself had caught up to it...!
Izuku, on the other hand... maintained a rather pensive attitude, though a slight frown creased his brow. His right arm, previously poised for a certain action, lowered as he faced the current situation.
With All Might now on the scene, Izuku knew he couldn't proceed with his plan with the sludge-villain—not with such a formidable witness in the vicinity. The presence of the No. 1 Hero himself demanded a different approach...
The sludge-villain, sensing its impending doom, made a desperate attempt to escape. It slithered toward the other end of the tunnel, where Izuku was positioned..!
"Move out of the way, brat!" the villain bellowed in frantic fear, hoping to slip past Izuku and make its getaway.
"Sure."
Izuku actually complied without much of an issue, stepping aside toward the wall of the tunnel to let it pass through him.
You would think he was complying out of cowardice, but that wasn't it.
Izuku had already anticipated what was about to happen to the sludge-villain... and what he was doing right now was just not trying to intervene in the inevitable...
And that would be the unstoppable force, All Might himself.
"You will not escape justice!" All Might's voice rang out with authority!
He dashed toward the sludge-villain, his fist drawing back in preparation! The very air around the tunnel seemed to crackle with anticipation as he prepared to unleash his signature attack...!
"TEXAS..."
With a powerful yell, All Might swung his fist forward, delivering an almost earth-shattering punch!
"...SMASH!!!"
The powerful attack struck the sludge-villain with overwhelming force, obliterating its grotesque form! The villain's sludge body disintegrated into a shower of dark green splatters that coated the tunnel walls and floor!
Izuku had wisely stepped back toward the initial entrance where he came through, ensuring he was out of range of the nasty, violent explosion of sludge.
He watched as the remnants of the villain's body splattered around the tunnel; the once monstrous figure of the sludge-villain was now nothing more than a scattered mess.
The tunnel fell silent once more... save for the dripping echoes of the remaining sludge stuck on the ceiling.
All Might stood triumphantly at the center of the sludge explosion, his formidable presence undiminished. Remarkably, not even his civilian clothes were smeared by any of the nasty sludge.
"All in a day's work! Justice is served!" All Might proclaimed proudly, his voice booming through the tunnel. He stood tall, radiating confidence and authority.
But then, something caught his attention. He looked back, his sharp eyes locking onto Izuku.
The sudden attention startled Izuku as he hadn't expected All Might to notice him. In an instant, All Might was in front of him, moving with a speed that belied his massive frame.
"Are you alright, young man?" he asked Izuku with a concerned tone. "Did that sludge villain do anything to you?"
Izuku, maintaining his calm, nodded. "I'm alright... thank you for asking..." he replied with a feigned gratitude.
His gaze slowly drifted past All Might toward the scattered mess of the sludge-villain inside the tunnel.
You'd think the villain was dead, but a faint groan of pain echoed from the mess. The sludge-villain's unique quirk might have granted it a semi-immortal body, as its groaning of pain continued, making the tunnel sound like a haunted place.
All Might followed Izuku's gaze, his brow furrowing in confusion. He then realized that Izuku was staring at the sludge-villain that he had just defeated, but was still barely alive in its scattered mess form.
He seemed to think that Izuku was worried the sludge-villain might try to escape again.
"Don't worry, young man," All Might said with a reassuring smile, "this villain will face justice, no doubt about it."
Without another word, All Might quickly pulled out a plastic-bottled carbonated beverage from the plastic bag that he had brought along with him.
Izuku blinked in surprise, thinking the No. 1 Hero was about to take a quick drink after the fight.
But instead of drinking it... All Might dumped the beverage's contents into the manhole that he and the sludge-villain had both emerged from...!
"Hmm...?"
Izuku couldn't help but find it strange. He'd expected All Might to chug the carbonated beverage like a true American enthusiast, not waste it like that...
After emptying the bottle, All Might quickly dashed back to the scattered remains of the villain.
With incredible dexterity, he began to skillfully contain the sludge-villain's body into the bottle in a series of quick, precise movements. Eventually, the sludge-villain was safely contained as All Might tightened the bottle's cap, ensuring the capture.
Returning to Izuku, All Might offered him confident smile.
"It's safe now, young man! The villain is safely contained," he said, holding up the bottled sludge as proof. "I'm sorry you got caught up in this mess. As a hero, I should've been faster in catching up to him."
"Sure, I guess..." Izuku casually accepted the apology, though his eyes couldn't help but sneak a glance at the bottled villain...
He clicked his tongue quietly, frustrated that his own plans had been foiled by All Might's timely intervention. Fortunately, the No. 1 Hero didn't notice his subtle reaction.
"Ugh...!"
But then, All Might's demeanor changed. He suddenly covered his mouth, and a hint of urgency appeared in his eyes...!
"Sorry, I've got somewhere else to be," he quickly said, "farewell, young man!"
He was about to leap away with those powerful legs of his...!
Panic surged through Izuku as his eyes locked onto the bottled sludge-villain in All Might's cargo pants pocket. He couldn't let this opportunity slip away...!
Soon, All Might jumped away from the location of the tunnel as he soared through the sky...
"Hmm?"
But then he felt an unexpected weight on his left leg. He looked down... and found the young man he had saved, Izuku, clinging to his leg with surprising tenacity.
"What the—?!" All Might exclaimed in shock, bewildered by the young man's boldness.
Izuku, his grip unwavering, looked up at All Might with a determined expression.
"I have something I need to ask you, All Might!"

Well, not much to say here. Though I do want to talk about how I'm starting to get a grip on what I should put next for this fanfiction, After not writing this, I would be lying if I said that I was not rusty or not getting a bit of a writing block.
For starters, I haven't finished the design of his iconic motorcycle. I did have some initial designs, but I haven't finished yet.
Also, eventually, Deku would also have his weapon arsenal. I already have something in mind in regard to both a sword arsenal and a gun arsenal, but still, again, both of them aren't finished yet.
The gun itself would be a simple blaster, but the sword? I'll give you a hint: It would be an homage to a legendary Japanese sword.
