Chapter 5 - chapter 4

Crystal thought for a while and decided to make a little fuss first, "Today is a working day, and there are many people in the hall. You know..."

She didn't want to tell Brandon the real situation. Firstly, she was afraid that Brandon would be embarrassed, and secondly, she didn't want to expose her predicament.

She didn't rely on her lover's charm for everything, and she had never used Brandon's identity to gain any benefits from others.

"I don't like people lying to me," Brandon interrupted her, "You think I won't know what happened if you don't tell me. What's going on?"

In the fast-moving City A, nothing can escape Brandon's eyes. He has ears and eyes positioned in different places. No matter what Crystal does or who she meets, he will clearly reveal it. In front of him, the feeling of being out of control was uncomfortable. Brandon's face darkened. He was well aware of this possessiveness and even took it for granted.

Crystal is his person. Isn't it normal for him to be possessive of Crystal?

It would be abnormal for him not to be possessive of Crystal.

"Tell me anything you can't handle in the future. Don't ask me to remind you of everything. You don't find it embarrassing, but I find it disgusting."

Because he was angry that Crystal had lied to him, his tone was a little harsh.

Embarrassed and disgusted, Crystal was a little dizzy. She believed that Brandon was complaining about her, but his deliberately aggravated tone and disdainful look still made Crystal feel cold.

It didn't seem like a lover's care, but more like insulting her.

Crystal nodded, not daring to delve into her thoughts.

"Yes, I understand."

"Your porridge today was sweet."

Brandon put the spoon back and said, "Don't make it so sweet next time, I don't like it."

She cooked it according to the previous recipe, and there would be no difference at all. Brandon is very picky about food, clothing, housing, and transportation, so she has the confidence to ensure that there are no mistakes.

Therefore, Brandon seems to be making things difficult now.

Because it didn't suit him or she didn't confess everything to him, Brandon lost his temper.

Crystal nodded, "I'm sorry, I won't do it next time."

The atmosphere became silent again. After coaxing him with a few words, Brandon's mood finally improved. He was amused by Crystal's obedient look. Brandon crossed his arms and felt somewhat satisfied.

The sweet taste of the red soup filled his lips. He recalled the scene of Crystal calling him husband in front of everyone.

The feeling of being loved made him feel happy. He was full of ambition, and the power of love made him omnipotent. Olivia asked him not to push Crystal too much, but what did it matter? Brandon thought, he not only wanted to love Crystal, but also wanted to intrude into her life arbitrarily. Becoming everything to her, there was nothing else in her mind but him.

Brandon raised his chin arrogantly, feeling a rush of heat in his heart, looked at her and suddenly he kissed her... Crystal was shocked and pushed him away.

She looked around, and the conference room was obviously not a good place. She knew someone would come. Crystal quickly changed the subject.

"I just heard from Olivia that you are going on a business trip to City B soon," Brandon nodded.

"Don't we have a wedding scheduled for the 13th next month? Is it convenient for you? Is it still in time?" she finally said, speaking out about it.

She is Brandon's soon-to-be wife, but she has no idea about his schedule. Crystal lowered her eyes. This does not mean she is incompetent, but it means that she is far from being important to Brandon.

Mr. Brandon is indeed the busiest person in the entire City A, but it is the third time since she first proposed marriage, including today.

Crystal pursed her lips.

She was not a dull person, and she knew what such repeated rejections meant.

Brandon didn't want to.
