"You look a little damp…" Bastian teased. He was leaning against Twyla's staircase. His usual black suit hugged his body and his shadows curled gently.
Twyla rolled her eyes. She was drenched. "Raven made us do an obstacle course," Twyla paused. "Over the water."
They looked down at the familiar who was bone dry.
"He was wet!" Twyla maintained.
Bastian laughed. "Dinner?"
"Please. I just need to bathe."
"I'll help."
"I could use some… assistance…"
Twyla and Bastian headed to the bathing chamber while the familiar curled onto the bed and went to sleep. Twyla draped a warm blanket over him on the way.
"You do know that he is covered in fur?" Bastian asked.
"Yes, but he looks cold," Twyla complained.
"Uh huh."
