HOMEVISIT
One day has passed since the lady kanade was rushed in a the hospital, since lady kanade's condition became better, the doctor that I have I talked yesterday specifically the "weird doctor" said that it's okay for lady kanade to go home but the doctor issued that she should rest for at least one week in bed.
Few hours after the doctor went in the room where lady kanade is confined, lady kanade woke up from her sleep as I'm preparing things before going home...
"Yamada??"
"Lady Kanade! You're awake..."
"Where am I?"
"You're in hospital now lady kanade, you been asleep for one day long...
"Yamada?"
"Yes? Is there anything you want?"
"Ice cream..."
I felt little relief after lady kanade said that, hearing that from lady kanade made me knew that she's returning to her normal state...
"Hahaha, as expected from lady kanade, we would eat that after we got out from here..."
"Hmm."
Despite her progress, it was evident that Lady Kanade hadn't fully recovered. The strange doctor's recommendation echoed in my mind: she needed rest at home.
And so, after settling the hospital bills, I escorted Lady Kanade back to our home that we're staying...
A few hours after we finally got home from the hospital, Lady Kanade hurried to her room and collapsed into bed. I decided to call the school to excuse her from classes for at least three days.
As night fell, I prepared some rice porridge for Lady Kanade, adding a few personal touches to enhance its flavor. She ate it gratefully, and I even gave her some of her favorite ice cream.
The recent events had clearly taken a toll on Lady Kanade's mental state. I needed to watch over her more closely to prevent such situations from arising again. I couldn't let her get involved in the serious matters of the family.
The next day arrived.
"Lady Kanade! Lunch is ready," I called.
"Coming!" she replied, sounding more like her usual self.
After setting the table, we were about to eat when there was a knock at the door. I stood up and went to see who it was.
"Yes? How may I help you?" I asked.
"Umm, good afternoon. Is Tachima Kanade living here?" a boy inquired.
"Yes, why?"
"Umm, hello, I'm Hayate Satoru, and the girl beside me is—"
The girl cut in, "Hello, my name is Kirisaki Tsubaki. We're here to give these lesson notes to Ms. Tachima so she can catch up with the class when she returns."
"Is that so! Thank you for going out of your way to bring these. Please, come inside."
I invited them in and offered them some drinks.
"Here, sit here," I said, guiding them to the living room. As I prepared the drinks, Lady Kanade appeared, still looking sleepy.
"Oh, hi Ms. Kanade. I'm Kirisaki Tsubaki, and this is Hayate Satoru. I'm the class president, and he's the vice president. We're here—"
Before she could finish, Lady Kanade interrupted with a yawn, "Oh, thank you."
It was a cold response, but at least she said thank you, which was an improvement.
Lady Kanade sat in front of them, her eyes half-open. After a few minutes, I placed the drinks on the table and started asking about school, like a concerned parent.
"So, how's school for the three of you? Lady Kanade hasn't attended classes for a few days because of her condition."
"Yamada, don't say nonsense," Lady Kanade interjected.
It seemed she didn't like discussing her situation with others.
Ms. Tsubaki then asked a question that made me pause.
"Mr. Yamada, right?"
"Yes, may I ask?"
"Yes, haha, you can ask anything to big brother Naoto, haha!"
"Is that so? Then, are you the legitimate guardian of Ms. Tachima?"
"I'm sorry to bring this up, but as the class president, I think I have a right to know if Ms. Tachima is in safe hands, isn't that right?"
"Eh?" I responded, taken aback.
"T-Tsubaki-chan..." Hayate Satoru murmured.
Lady Kanade just stared at the wall, her eyes half-closed from sleepiness.
Now, how should I answer this? I bet this won't go as smoothly as last time. This girl has the aura of a detective. Sigh, I thought she would ask easier questions, but...
