"AAAAARRRGGGGG"

A scream of excruciating pain poured from my throat as I was caught off guard and got my left arm chopped off by an enemy soldier. I spun around and using the momentum to swing my scythe with my other arm and slash through his neck, his head fell to the ground and his body followed suit.

"Alright that's the 100th person I killed with this scythe now I just need..." My words got cut off when I notice a flash from the corner of my eye. I turned my head to see a huge fire blast heading my way.

"Oh, fuck this" I muttered under my breath before the fire blast hit me. I managed to block most of the damage with my scythe however my left eye has left me and in its place was a burning sensation.

"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHGGGGGG"

Another scream of excruciating pain poured from my throat, the fire blast launched me backwards and I hit my back against what's left of a tree and I fall to my butt. I looked up to see who the perpetrator was and of course it was her, Malare Marduk. The dragon girl.

Malare glides down, her dark purple bob cut hair swaying, she lands in front of me. She looks me over with her beautiful hazel eyes. I'm covered in blood and dirt and who knows what else.

"My my, human you don't look so good" she grins a little. "but you are also exactly my type" she puts a hand on her cheek and tilts her head. "Oh what should I do"

I pick up my scythe as I attempt to stand up with what little strength I have left. I glare at the dragon girl. "Damn it if only you..." My vision starts getting blurry and I'm feeling dizzy then, THUD. I hit the ground with a loud thud when I pass out.

"Hmm" The dragon girl is contemplating something then she walks over to me and picks me up.

"I'll take you to my house that's what I'll do" Malare says chuckling a little. The dragon girl starts to fly to her house and 2 hours later she gets there.

After she arrives at her house with me still unconscious in her arms she goes inside and calls for her maid.

"Izzy come here and take this human child to an empty room and heal him up"

"Yes milady" the maid took me from Malare and brought me to a room where she cast healing magic on me.

A moment later most of my wounds healed up but left behind some scars.

[Malare Marduk's POV]

I walk into the room Izzy brought the Human child just as she was finishing healing and bandaging him.

"How's he doing Izzy"

"He is doing fine, he's not in a life threatening state anymore ma'am..."

{Izzy looks like she has something else to say.} "That's nice. You look like you've got something else on your mind, what's up?"

"Please forgive my rudeness ma'am, but what compelled you to save this human?" She looks at me with a curious gaze.

"Hmm. What you ask? He's my type, that's why." I shrug as I give her a vague answer.

Izzy narrows her eyes in suspicion towards me. "So you've fallen to lust milady?" She changes her gaze into one of sympathy.

"W-what n-no I haven't." I stutter and I look away from her avoiding Izzy's gaze. "I just think it might be nice to have him around."

Izzy's gaze changes back to suspicion. "is that so..." Izzy gets up and walks past me and out the door of the room. "please excuse me ma'am I have to go prepare dinner."

I watch her walk out of the room to kitchen then I turn my gaze to the human child on the bed. "why did I save him..." I mutter under my breath. I walk over and I sit on a chair next to the bed.

I sit there for 30 minutes looking at him with a remorseful gaze and admiring his void like black hair, then Izzy came back.

"Dinner is ready milady, I made you a steak with a baked potato and wine."

"Yes thank you Izzy I'll be out shortly." I got up and after 5 minutes and I went to the dining room.

"Thank you for cook dinner Izzy." I sat down and I started eating the potato. "ahh so good I really love your food Izzy."

"I appreciate your kind words milady it's my pleasure." She gave a slight bow.

"Ma'am, what do you plan to do with that human from now on?"

"Hmm" I shrug my shoulders. "I'm not sure yet, perhaps I'll make him a butler or just nurse him for the time being"

"I see..." Izzy responded. "What if he wishes to seek revenge for his fallen comrades and burns?"

I shrug again. "If he didn't I would be very surprised, however if does then I'll just put him in his place." I say as I take a bite of the steak.

"I see..." Said Izzy not knowing how to feel.

[Zain's POV]

I start to wake up from my 5 day slumber. "ugh" I grown when I wake up and I hold my head.

"How are you feeling human?" When I looked up to see the owner of the voice I saw another dragon girl, with firey red hair, emerald green eyes and a maid outfit on.

I sit up in the bed still holding my head. "Who are you, where am I?"

"I am Isabel, milady's maid, and you're in her home. Now answer my question human." Isabel responded in an annoyed tone.

"I'm in a bit of pain and I'm tired. How long was I asleep for?"

"You were out for about 5 days, get up human and go clean up I'll take you to the bathroom" Isabel said still in an annoyed tone.

"I see" {I have the feeling she doesn't like me very much.} I got up and I followed her to the bathroom.

We get to the bathroom room and it's huge the bath is a circle and has a radius of 4 meters. "Woah." I say in awe of how luxurious this looks.

"I'll help you bathe, human" Isabel said in a disgusted tone.

"n-no it's fine I can do it myself" I trip over my words from what she had said.

"I highly doubt that" Isabel responded while looking at my wounded body.

"S-still don't you have better stuff to do? Even if I'm missing an arm I still have one that works perfectly fine" I respond flustered, moving my right arm in a circular motion.

"I do have better stuff to do, but milady has told me to care of you for the time being"

{I really get the feeling she hates me} "Oh yeah, speaking of your lady who is she" I ask

Isabel's eyebrow twitches in anger, and she mutters under her breath "insolent human" she says through gritted teeth. "it's Malare Marduk"

"WHAT" I shout in surprise.

Isabel covered her ears when I shouted. "I told Malare Marduk"

"No no I heard you I'm just surprised, she tried to kill me so why would she then save me"

"Do not ask me I do not understand milady's whims, now hurry up and strip so I can clean you."

"Huh a-alright" I say embarrassed, I strip and take off the bandages around the left side of my face and on my left shoulder.

As I walk towards the shower I notice a mirror out of the corner of my right eye. I turn to look at myself in the mirror.

The entire left side of my face all the way back to my ear is covered in burns the same with my left shoulder and the flesh on what remains of my left arm seems to have been burned and melted together from the fire blast and that could probably explain why I didn't bleed to death.

I stand there for a minute feeling sad after seeing my appearance. "hey how much longer you gonna check yourself out human, hurry up" Isabel snapped in an annoyed tone.

I look at her with an angry look, I turn around and I keep walking to the shower.

I sit down on one of the stools and Isabel starts washing my hair.

20 minutes later we're done and I have new clothes on and we walk out of the bathroom.

Isabel immediately leaves, as she's walking away she turns to me. "Don't break anything human" She left

Left alone to my own devices I start to walk around and check out this what I assume is a mansion by how it looks.
