Chapter 20 - 20. Seven Treasure Glazed Tile

In front of an auction house, two people are arguing: one wearing a green robe and the other wearing a red and gold robe. Both are middle-aged men.

"Argument" is not the correct wording to describe this situation. It is literally a one-sided forced blackmail.

"You know who I am, right?" the man in the blue robe asked with a proud look.

"How can you people be this shameless?" the man in the red robe shouted angrily and helplessly.

"If you don't want to get on my Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan's bad side, give it to me quickly. I can offer you more money than you spent—three times as much. How about it?" the blue-robed man said. He knew it would be easier to obtain that item using his clan's influence than with empty words.

"You people..." Anger overflowed on the face of the middle-aged man in the red robe.

Their argument held no value for Xie Yue. After observing for a while, he continued walking; he didn't want to be a spectator. He knew the outcome of the argument even without watching it fully.

What he cared about most now was the term "Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan."

"Why didn't I think of that before? I am really a fool. Ignoring the Buddha Temple in front of me, I searched for a ghostly living hut until now."

"In front of Ning Fengzhi, what does that idiot Yu Xiaogang amount to?" Thinking about all the advantages, Xie Yue's eyes brightened. He hurried back to the hotel to patiently devise a plan.

One week later—

Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan

Xie Yue and Hu Liena stood in the middle of a grand hall. They were no longer wearing nice clothes; instead, they were in tattered garments.

Xie Yue's face showed a little nervousness. He held Hu Liena's hand tightly as if trying to protect her. His youthful face also exhibited a semblance of calmness. He behaved like a proper big brother to Hu Liena.

As for Hu Liena, she acted like a little fierce kitten trying to protect its food from others. Even though she put up a strong front, her trembling hands betrayed her. She was genuinely scared. She had come with her brother for sightseeing and had been happily walking with him. But suddenly, everything had gone blank. Now, here they were. The situation presented before her indicated that she and her brother had been kidnapped by some bad guys. Her vow was to safeguard her brother.

To the elegant man in front of them, Xie Yue's and Hu Liena's actions appeared quite cute and amusing. There was also a hint of sympathy in his eyes. This middle-aged man was very handsome, wearing a blue-green elegant robe, and held a jade stick in his hand. He was the current sect master of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan, Ning Fengzhi.

"Little ones, don't be afraid. I am the one who saved you from the child kidnappers. You are safe now," he said in a gentle voice, exuding an atmosphere that made others feel instantly familiar with him.

Hearing his words, Xie Yue and Hu Liena's nervous expressions relaxed a little.

"Thank you for saving us, Uncle!" Xie Yue exclaimed. Following him, Hu Liena also expressed her gratitude.

"Haha... No need to mention it," Ning Fengzhi said in an amiable tone. "Little ones, what are your names?" he asked again.

"My name is Moon; my sister's name is Nana. We don't have any formal names," Xie Yue replied cutely.

"So, where are your parents?" he asked gently again.

"Don't know... That villain uncle said we were orphans." Mentioning that villain uncle, Xie Yue's face filled with fear.

Hearing Xie Yue's reply, Ning Fengzhi's interest was piqued.

"Who is that villain uncle?" he inquired again.

"Don't know... He wanted to sell us when we turned six years old with other children. But at the Martial Soul Awakening ceremony, I escaped with my sister after pushing him away," Xie Yue explained slowly. Fear and nervousness shone in his eyes.

"You already awakened?" Ning Fengzhi acted as if he didn't know. Seeing his act, Xie Yue couldn't help but laugh inwardly.

Xie Yue knew Ning Fengzhi was the one who had kidnapped them. However, since he didn't want Xie Yue and Hu Liena to hold a grudge against him, he claimed to have saved them from the kidnappers.

"His acting skills are better than mine. Sigh... If I weren't aware of the situation, even I would have believed his performance."

Ning Fengzhi had kidnapped them because, two days prior, Xie Yue staged a small drama in front of a STGT sect disciple. Xie Yue lured some mortal thieves and fought in front of that disciple. STGT sect disciples were adept at recognizing talent; if they were brainless, STGT wouldn't be one of the top three sects even without any fighting power.

After showing off his soul power, Xie Yue returned to the humble hotel where he had stayed. He knew he was being followed but didn't mind. Before staging the drama, he had already eliminated all loopholes. He even burned his new clothes to ashes and hid the bank card elsewhere. He also taught Hu Liena many things.

In the following days, he regularly went out to play with Hu Liena. One can guess what happened next... They were kidnapped by STGT sect members.

Xie Yue responded to Ning Fengzhi's question by summoning his martial soul. Two Moon blades appeared in each of his hands. Ning Fengzhi could immediately gauge the level of this martial soul just by the pressure it emitted.

"Absolutely top-level martial soul," Ning Fengzhi thought to himself. Sword Douluo and Bone Douluo sat silently in their respective seats, observing Ning Fengzhi's conversation. A beautiful woman with a pregnant belly was also present in the main hall.

Ning Fengzhi calmed himself easily. After all, who was he? Was this the first time he had seen a top-level martial soul? No, he had encountered many people like Xie Yue.

"Ah, what is your age now, and what is your innate soul power level?" Ning Fengzhi asked patiently.

But the answer Xie Yue gave stupefied everyone present, including Sword Douluo and Bone Douluo.
